Clock tower is rage worthy!
LOL Yeah i cant get past the first few jumps. I naturally am jumping puzzle challenged, even simple ones are impossibly fail for me XD I get upset at other puzzles but… Clock tower actually is fun. despite me falling im having a blast, XD its just so funny haha I dont mind falling a billion times haha Just hopefully one day i can get to the top….
The problem isn’t the puzzle itself, the problem is the 6 fat charr / norn blocking everything on your screen including your own character.
Seriously, why not make this an individual instance? Is it just to make players mad at other players…? It’s not like there’s anything “cooperative” in the puzzle.
Get lucky and join an instance where everyone is an asura and suddenly you can actually do the puzzle instead of staring at a screen full of backsides.
After 3ish hours, many thrown desk items and a hurting wrist, I finally finished it. I think the difficulty is perfect and I even made friends with the 4 other people that were too determined to get it to give up.

The puzzle itself is alot of fun, while the overly big characters sometimes result in others falling the experience itself is great and I hope Anet has more of these puzzles in store! Naturally next time please remember the group/character sizes
The problem isnt the puzzle for say… Its more of a im not a naturally paitent person.. Fails after fails will annoy me fast.. 10 in a row was too much.. and i just watched a video where it gets worse after the half way mark…
Only thing I don’t like is the long wait before you can start again, the bar moves so slowly.
If this were a regular puzzle, I would have no problems. However, the fact its a “fun” holiday puzzle I find it a bit rage worthy.
Holiday events are supposed to be a bit challenging, with a bit of fun thrown in. If there wasn’t the whole acid thing….I would say it was good for that. Having it be timed at the same time its requiring precise jumping is a bit much for something for a holiday in my opinion.
Honestly, I have found a lot of this holiday to be odd. I do think it could have been done a lot better to be more “easy and fun” and leave the challenging stuff for regular gameplay.
Holiday events should be 100% completeable by anyone playing your game, regardless of skill level. Its not normal gameplay, its not about the achievements, its about limited time special events that not everyone wants to spend hours and hours doing.
you owe me a new desk, anet…

I think it’s the first time I ever wanted to punch a baby(or whatever is the meme). >:
I personally think it should be challenging, it is the mad king after all xD and halloween means creepy, scary, epic, probably dangerous stuff. if it was easy it would just be boring no? And it would just be a boring grind fest, you’re only doing easy things to get stuff… where as this makes it interesting
Big characters do block the way, but im liking the group stuff, u see ppl falling all the time and while u dont fall u feel good and if u fall u know that ur not alone. and rushing together with a group of ppl feels like ur all running for ur lives its kinda interesting feeling like you’re all in the same boat together.
Don’t you feel that way??
norns and charrs are only annoying when u start. Once u jumped enough times, they are no longer the issue
I’m really sad about this one. I like jumping puzzles, but there’s no way I can do one on a timer.
Tarnished Coast
TAKE out the timer and i can do this all day
Not to mention the camera system is horrible for jumping and some of the ledges are buggy and like to catch you and get you stuck
they need to make this into individual instances, the timer and buggy camera make this hard enough, but trying to find my little asura under all the giant norn and Charr is beyond annoying. This is not SPvP or anything like it, there should be no “competitive” part to this.
It’s sad when I have an easier time near the top when I do at the bottom simply because I can see my character and do not have to make blind leaps of faith.
I think it was great, love the challenge! Thanks whoever created it
actually for me personally, without the timer it wouldnt b fun. it would be like trying so hard not to make mistakes and saving my spot with portals and u know really hating it when i screw up. with the timer, i have a high chance of screwing up and that way i dont feel bad when i do screw up cuz i knowi have to rush and trust instincts. the timer made it fun for me. otherwise id get frustrated
Loved the challenge. Most fun Ive had in a while
I just went thru the clock tower for maybe 2hrs with my Norn/necro… I got to the end 5 times and he just WILL NOT go thru the crack at the end…. I am done.. I made it twice with my human/elementalist and he did the last jump with ease.. Ridiculous.
What annoys me of this is not the speed or the tricky jumps. You can get used to that. It’s all the other things that are not part of the puzzle itself that only add up to the frustration. Having to wait, other people not letting you see and using bundles to mess up with your pace, badly placed collisions, different races and heights having issues with the camera, the fog not waiting until you properly load to start moving, the cinematic getting stuck randomly, one disconnection once in a while…
Nothing is part of the puzzle itself, but everything makes it extremely frustrating for those affected by the multiple issues.
you owe me a new desk, anet…
LOL, if i had a desk it woud prob look the samn way…
