Clocktower Way To Fast

Once you learn where to jump, it’s just a matter of trying again till you get it. But as others have said, heaven forbid something be “challenging” and “fun” at the same time. You can’t please everyone.

So, after 4 hours of trying this insanely hard jumping puzzle, I finally got into the tower, and promptly died as soon as it finished loading, got my achievment, but no slippers. Is this supposed to happen? >.>

This. The lava is just too fast for 90% of the playerbases’ reaction time.

I know, I stuck by ANet with the initial dungeon rage, hehe. I’ll just have to keep trying. I just think that since the event is temporary, that’s the thing that gives a bit of merit to the complaints. There’s not much time to practice for it.
Do you happen to know if the JP achievement counts toward the Emissary of the Mad King Title? If it doesn’t I wouldn’t be nearly as bothered, heh.

The answer to that have been stated 2-3 times or so in this thread already…
I’ve attempted this clock tower for over 5 hours now as an Asura.
Kudos to the 1/10-15 group that actually gets to make it to the top, and later bloats their loot around. ArenaNet needs to nerf the rapid acid, so that more average gamers (7+) can make it to the top and also feel great about claiming their loot. As it stands right now, only the very few who are able to get up there, are the repeated farmers that keep doing the event for the other chests. That’s not the sort of % population Anet should be focusing their attention to. A lot of people are complaining because it IS a big issue. It’s not the player’s fault for being introduced to the hardest “timed” thing ever in the game. It’s harder than Arah, it’s harder than Zhaitan. God it reminds me of Guild Wars 1.
So do as you will, but I know a ton of players are going to be mighty disappointed by the end of this event if the fricken tower isn’t nerfed to a degree.

Really frustrating puzzle. Add to this bugged events, ghost hunt in 45+ zones and general lack of goodies and you get a failed holyday. Yay.

Well if they can’t fix the camera bugs after this long, why would you expect a major event to go smoothly? It’s not like they actually beta test these things to make sure people can complete them.
