Anet confirmed that there were craftable Halloween weapons (not the same as the Black Lion weapons) that are permanent versions of the ones you can buy on a 4 hour timer in Lions Arch. Does anyone know where the recipes are for these? And is there only a shield, bow and staff to craft or are there more weapons I’m not seeing?

there might be swords i’d expect. but no one knows where you can get the recipe too

Remember, these weapons are craftable year-round once you’ve discovered the recipe, so don’t worry too much about trying to craft them NOW. It’s more important to stockpile the event materials that won’t drop once Halloween is over.

So if anyone finds out the recipes post plox? Especially the staff

Chattering skull + candy corn + iron ingot + ???? makes something. I couldn’t figure out that last component though. This for leatherworking 75.

Probably the shoulders, Magi..Anyone tried using weapon items of 75 level in crafting weapons?

Leatherworking was chattering skull + candy corn + iron ingot + 2 onyx fragments (think that was it)… was a Minor Rune of the Mad King (lvl 20 green rune) that gives (1) +10 power (2) +5% condition duration…

Weaponsmithing was similar but no chattering skull and with a glacial fragment… Minor Sigil of the Night (lvl 20 green rune) that gives +5% damage at night.

So far nothing useful…

Kinda odd that the Leatherworking rune has absolutely no leather components though.

Instead of doing those recipes, you guys should be tossing stuff in the mystic forge. Majority of stuff from discovery pane in crafting is usually sigils.

It’s the MF where you get recipes.

I need the 4th item though >.<

They make runes while crafting
1 Iron Ingot
2 Onyx Fragment
75 Piece of Candy Corn
1 Plastic Fang

And it’s minor rune of the mad king. Same rune from tailoring and armorsmith so I bet leatherwork has it as well.

Just wondering… Can runes/sigils be put into the MF? If so, perhaps the Halloween runes might be components for the permanent Halloween weapon recipes from the Forge?

I think I read something about Halloween “gifts” that are crafted somehow, I don’t remember where or what the recipes were though @@ I do remember being taken aback by how… rigid the requirements were though.

Journeyman salvage kit combines with bones, nougat, plastic teeth, and something else. You can only use two of the Halloween items, so I’m not sure what the final bit is.

Btw is it possible to transmute the 4hr version of the weapons, thus making them permanent?

Yeh, there’s gifts but those are for the mystic forge and cost a good 250g.

Found the post I was looking at, it was on Reddit. Take with a grain of salt until we know that they still work though…

I don’t know what you do with the gifts after making them though. Also don’t know if these recipes are still valid post-alpha/beta. Unfortunately I can’t see myself spending that kind of money on any of those three skins if these recipes are real.

Holy… Sounds like the perma-Halloween crafted items are legendaries in themselves. O.o

Like I said, I’m not entirely sure they’re real or still what we need to make the weapons. Can’t check myself right now either

I have a bunch of Twilight Arbor tokens sitting around that I don’t mind turning into a Gift to find out though.

If those are the recipes..Nobody will have -time- to make them, unless they’ve an obscene amount of gold/ tokens sitting around.

If those are the recipes, I think the Halloween event is officially the end of the game for me.

There’s no way that can be the recipes. I can understand making them challenging to craft, but that’s nuts. These aren’t legendaries, and should not be treated as such.

Well… here’s all the information I’ve been able to scrounge up from the alpha leaks. Bit more searching shows that it isn’t quite as bad as the above recipes, but it’s still very unfortunate. Template seems to be…

Weapon: Gift of the Moon + Gift of Spiders + Gift of Souls + Temporary Weapon

Sincerely hoping this isn’t the case. I don’t want my Halloween experience to be building a miniature legendary…

Yeah I spent a ton of my money learning how to make the gift of spiders..to know that it’s only part of it..I mean cmon A-Net this is kitten ridiculous. Instead of it just being fun it’s extremely expensive and difficult, then you got the skins being so rare in the chests..just…yikes man..less exciting than I thought.

Actually you can get all this items really fast O.O mobs drops like crazy, so this is actually nothing to complain, go AHEAD and check the black lion’s chest, that’s the only issue to be honest, a guy in my guild, for 8g already made a weapon… so really chest are the worst thing, this is actually doable and nice.

Why would you do this crap. Its a friggin HOLIDAY or crying out loud. Give us something FUN. Give it to us.. dont make us work so hard for it.

@Alur, can you ask your guildies to share the recipes.

@Alur, You know that the Halloween/Candy components aren’t the issue, no?

I’d love to know how they get the mats with 8g considering that the wine bottles alone will cost you 60g (if you get enough for all 4 gifts). And the only crazy drops I see are from exploiting doors that spawn infinite enemies.

Plastic Teeth, Skulls, not sure what the third item is. 100 of each should correspond to each Gift. I’m trying to figure out how they expect us to amass 750 Candy Corn + enough to buy the base weapons + all 300 of the rare materials in just one week… and that’s only for one Exotic weapon…

Yes, the limited time skins that you buy with candy corn

Effectively if the second step is true, a majority of the player base won’t be able to get these weapons because of the insane requirement of the wines and other time constraint issues

Anyone 100% sure you need all 3 gifts for a single weapon?

It looks like there’s a gift to correspond with each weapon (Spiders for the bow, souls for the staff, and moon for the shield).

So it may be possible that you just need a single gift that corresponds to the weapon you want? Makes more sense considering the naming conventions and the small timeframe to gather mats.

I doubt anyone’s been able to make all 3 gifts to confirm yet. If it’s a single Gift only it would be far more reasonable, but still pretty extreme for a holiday item

Im not sure we need all those gifts to create 1 weapon, and I dont think it will require more than 1 gift pr weapon either. – But then again my outlook is allways to aproach things from as sane an angle as possible. Maybe thats my mistake.
