Do you need the Tower for the MK title?
They’ve said that you don’t need it, but they say a lot of things.

No, I’ve gotten every achievement except for the party one and am currently at 4/5 for the mad king title.
Yes, they’ve said that you don’t need it. Or the pumpkin carving one. I would believe them.
According to the wiki the clock tower doesn’t count towards it.

No, you don’t.
It’s entirely optional, and really in the long run only nets you 10 achievement points and shoes you can get elsewhere. (They don’t even have a unique model)
All you’re missing by not finishing it is the sense of self accomplishment from finishing a difficult jumping puzzle.
This is not a threads about the tower. I just want to know if I need to complete the tower for the holiday title.
I enjoyed the tower but I suck at jumping games. I already spend 4 hours at it and I don’t really need the slipper so I am thinking of giving up.
Can someone please let me know if I need it?
Actually you need to do it for 8 hours to get the holiday title. Youre halfway there.
But really, its not included in the title/achievement realm. Its an extra.

Are you all sure it’s not required? I all the achievements (including the jump puzzle) done except for attending the party. That brings me to a total of 4 achievements completed towards the title. Sure seems like the jumping puzzle is required…

Official ArenaNet post. Pumpkin carving and clock tower do not count towards the Emissary of the Mad King achievement.
Ohhhhh, I just realized that the 5 that count are Halloween Huntin, Halloween Events Completed, It’s a Mad King’s World, Attend the Party, and the Halloween Bags…
Wow… that title just became a lot lamer since its so easy to get lol
The tower does not count towards the mad king title.
I’ve completed the tower achievement and I’m still 4/5, same as everyone else.
The last point is from the attend the party achievement that we can’t get until halloween.
