Hey there. Bowmaster Sol here to continue the never ending battle of providing helpful and usable information to the GW2 community. This is a continuation of my Halloween thread aids. You can find my act 1 thread here : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/halloween/Halloween-Act-1-Informational-Aid-With-ToT-Locations/first#post546560

Before I begin talking about what you can expect from Act 2, I would like to list a few errata to my Act 1 thread here:

Personalized ToT Bags
Unfortunately, due to player exploits of the Lion’s Arch overflow servers to gain infinite PToTs, Anet has disabled 5 of the PToT nodes there. This has resulted in a reduction of 11 PToTs per character per day from gathering at suspicious locations. Effected sites are as follows: Lion’s Arch sewers, old Lion’s Arch fountain, and old Lion’s Arch twin lion statues.

No new PToT locations were added in Act 2 to my knowledge, so the current total is 21 PToTs per character per day for a total of 85. The good news is that there are now additional sources to gain PToTs in Act 2 through the new PvP minigames Lunatic Inquisition and Reaper’s Rumble.

Crafting of Permanent Halloween Weapons

Since this was a topic of much debate, I created a thread of its’ own. I reinforce the fact that players do not need to grind to the extremes that some posters on the forums were claiming. The only mats you need to have before this event ends are the Halloween crafting mats. Everything else can be collected and complied at your own pace. If you don’t feel like gathering mats, then they will surely be on the TP to buy. Here is the thread : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/halloween/Casual-Crafting-of-Permanent-Halloween-Weapons/first#post549478

New Halloween Crafting Recipes

I spoke very generally about these new recipes as not to spoil anything for players that enjoy discovering these on their own. I will link the wiki that includes specifics for all the new recipes:

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Candy_corn
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chattering_Skull
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Nougat_Center

Mystic Forge Conversion Recipes

Mad King Chest: 1 Candy Corn, 6 Mystery Tonics, and 2 Boosters.

The following conversions are dependent on how much you use. If you want more Chattering Skulls from the conversion, then increase the amount of Plastic Fangs and Nougat Centers you put into the forge for these recipes.

??xChattering Skulls: 1ToT Bag, ??x Nougat Center, ??x Plastic Fangs, 1 Master’s Salvage Kit
??xPlastic Fangs: 1 ToT Bag, ??x Nougat Center, ??x Chattering Skulls, 1 Master’s Salvage Kit
?? Nougat Center: 1 ToT Bag, ??x Plastic Fangs, ??x Chattering Skulls, 1 Master’s Salvage Kit

Halloween Act 2 Information

Disclaimer: I will not be talking about anything related to the gem store yet again. I placed the Mad King Chest recipe above for completeness.

Scavenger Hunt Part 2
If you completed the first scavenger hunt in Act 1, then you are familiar with the process. Use the hint from your reward book backing to take you to the location of the ghost that gives you page 7, which in turn will give your the clue for page 8. When you collect all pages from 6 to 12 turn them in to Magister Tassi in LA for your next reward. I personally love it!

There are no new PToTs with this additional hunt. Instead, most of the ghosts will need for you to complete an event in order to get them to appear. They will stay out in the world for a few minutes before someone else needs to start the event again. I did not notice my candy meter showing strong signals, yet you will need to use it to show the Suspicious Locations. This may be fixed in a future hotfix.

I will wait until later on tonight to post the specific locations of these new ghosts and let you guys use your noodle until then. These locations are again limited to Krytan areas up to Sparkfly Fen.

New Halloween Dynamic Events
Madness is starting to leak through at an increasing rate in Tyria, specifically the Krytan areas. New event chains with hordes of Mad Thorn minions have been added to Queensdale. Help the Priory out and take the fight into the Realm of Madness itself!

Realm of Madness Labryinth

Step through one of the Halloween doors and you will find yourself in this domain. Here there is nothing but Halloween mobs. The mobs here are level 80 but level scaling will be implemented similar to WvW. This is a great addition for the casual player, because it allows you to gain a lot more drops and ToTs. Complete the event in the center for chest reward with a chance to gain exotic items!!!!

Thanks for the detailed information but just want to give heads up that for specific scavenger hunt locations, there is a lot of repeated information so perhaps you can link in http://dulfy.net or one of the other posters had a thread where he had a link to his website with pictures and screenshots. As well in the beginning half an hour of act 2 we had gathered all the information from players submissions and had a makeshift guide for all the pages til better ones were made. other than specifically scavenger hunt, thanks for the info!

Lunatic Inquistion

All starter zones now have a Halloween tent set-up fairly close to the main city entrances. Talk to ghost NPC Ramus to enter Lunatic Inquisition PvP mini-game.

The game plays out similar to Zombies. The players are divided into two sides: Villagers and Lunatic Court. Each are trying to compete for points and dominance.

Villagers:
Your objective is simply to survive. Your team starts out with the most players, however, whenever one of your fellow teammates die they will forever join the Lunatic Court as a ghost and enemy player! Your side has the advantage in the beginning of the fight, but steadily lose influence as the game progresses.

Villagers have no innate attacks of their own. Instead, you will need to collect the various environmental weapons to deal damage and CC your opponents. Again, your objective is to survive and help your fellow teammates do so as well.

Since Villagers aren’t the strongest, they need help. Villagers can gather the environmental weapons and turn them into ghost NPCs that will summon armies of helpful Halloween minion allies that will attack any Lunatic Court players.

Northwest NPC collects Bones. Northeast NPC collects Torches.
Southwest NPC collects Black Goo. Southeast NPC collects Spider Webs.

Lunatic Court:

You start off as the minority. Lunatic Court players are randomly chosen from the pool of available players at the start of the match. Your objective is to kill the villagers.

You have 4 new attack skills. Skill 1 is an auto-attack that does minor damage. Skill 2 is a short leap attack that does massive damage. Skill 3 is a short-range fear around your character. Skill 4 is an area placement fear. There is a short delay between the activation of the skill the aoe fear from the totem. This is great for getting runners to come back or run into walls.

Skill 5 is dependent on your environmental weapon. You create various traps that let you hunt villagers a lot easier. Skills 6-8 are based on Mad King Thorn Says. The skills are 1200 range and place a debuff on the villager. If the villager does not perform the correct emote or does so incorrectly, he will be knock downed. This leaves him vulnerable to your attacks or helps bridge the gap on runners.

The winning team is rewarded with PToTs!

More to Come
I haven’t personally been able to do Reaper’s Rumble or the new Clocktower jumping puzzle due to inability to gain access to them.

Thanks again to everyone for constructive criticism, compliments, and added info.

You have a great guide i will be coming back to for extra info. Have you been able to find out anything on the clues in the mail about things happening in different maps all across the world? I haven’t gotten a chance to check out other maps but the human areas right now.

If possible, it’d be nice to document what new dynamic events are happening around, because i think i’ve spotted a few weird ones that probably isn’t the default non-halloween things.

takatsu- I will take into consideration linking outside sites if they are easily accessible. My main focus was to provide as much information about the Halloween Acts as possible within the first few posts of a thread instead of everything scattered about. In regards to new events, I believe the letter mailed was just to inform players that minigame tents are set up in each starter zone, so they don’t have to feel obligated to go to Queensdale for them.

I’m glad you enjoy the thread and appreciate your efforts as well to gather information. =)
