Just trying to get the Act 1 of halloween even using my lvl 13 charr warrior. Its kitten difficult. Every enemy out there just one hits me.

Is there a way to switch my mission to a my higher lvl character? Or Am I doomed to death?

i had this issue with my lvl 13 necro,
i asked in mapchat if my alt could do it instead and someone said i could,
i couldnt…the book is sent to the character that completes it, not to your account as a whole, and then it binds on acquire.
so i hung around the crypt until a crowd of helpful people came along …

I had a similar issue with my new necro (which was level 2 at that point) – fortunately a guild-mate was more than happy to run escort for me for Memoirs 5 and 6. My best suggestion is to either wait until you’re higher level (if the timing on the events will let you) or to see it you too can find a helpful soul who’ll lend you a hand

What I did (I was also just a teenie when the event started) is levelling up till 25 and then followed the zerg of other players who did it.

I was able to complete it at level 5 or 6. Just follow people and ask them to help. Most people I asked actually took it up as their job to make sure I got to the locations.

So if I want to start levelling up now, it will take another 2 days to get to 33 lvl. Qill the Act 1 be available even after today?

yes the event chains will unfold and still allow you to do the prior chains.

Thats great news atleast. But if Act 1 required lvl 33 fights, Act 3 might need lvl 80. In which case its almost impossible to lvl up to that before the event ends

Honestly , im playing in Jade Query and i can tell you , at least when i did this event there was 0 enemies on the place. (At least by the time i done it)

If you get a populated server , people will keep the place 100% clean all the time.
Hell even if it is not clean , the amount of people coming and going will keep you alive , since people help each other usually.

I’m on Jade as well and when I went through the only thing that kept killing me was the traps.

when I did it I did on a lvl 60 something (I think), noticed alot of people running it and going down, so when I’d done me and a friend (also around 60) decided to go back and rez people on the path in (and keep the enemies down and make sure the door stayed open) so that people having trouble could get through.

we spent over 3 hours in there just helping people because we thought it was only fair that everyone trying to get it should have a chance at it.

I had both my level 16 necro and a higher level character in the crypt and kept logging out of one and into the other. I was clearing the mobs, moving my necro to a safe place further in, logging into the high level character and then clearing more mobs then moving my necro further in again. If you don’t die on a trap, someone will usually be by within a minute or two and can res you (it’s pointless if they don’t kill the mobs though).

Once I resolved to clear the crypt myself with an alt it became much easier to get my necro through the location. Alternatively, look for a nice mesmer who can portal you through.

It’s worth noting that if someone has activated the ghost but the door is closed, you can talk to it through the wall by standing in the corner to the right of the closed door.

i made it with a level 8 toon. i got one shot like 5 or 7 times, but i found paths cleared enough to reach the cript. Once you are in the cript its “all done” if there are more players inside (usually tends to be crowded)

I run guided tours on my server and have escorted level 5, level 9, level 15s and even level 20s had issues. I really encourage and suggest everyone to extend a hand when u have extra time to help others. Not only does it help others but it’s a rewarding experience as well for urself

I escorted a level 7 for his kessex and gendarran fields pages, I can’t believe the aggro radius on the mobs for a low level…it’s freaking insane.

I spent a long while the other day with my mesmer, just portal-ing people into the final chamber straight from the entrance… Also if you step back from the stone a bit after bringing up the dialog, you’re close enough to the entrance to have no load screen.

You know what? If I saw someone call out in map chat for help explaining that situation briefly, I would gladly help get that person there. The community inworld is a great one. Just remember, though, pay it forward.

I created a necro alt and immediately went and did the final steps in Kessex Hills and Gendarran Fields. I think he was level 3 when he got his book. There were enough players around that I was able to avoid most enemies and didn’t need to spend the time using the device. I just ran to the ghost and spammed the first dialogue until complete.

Gendarran was the tricky one to get to though. I went up the center along the pipe, headed east toward the mansion place, then up to vigil keep, jumped off the north end and ran toward the crypt from there.

Last clue in Act 2 is rather insane. Its placed in a ghostly pirate area filled with level 65+ mobs.

I went there with my level 47 thief and had zero chance, mobs would agro from a rather large distance (due to my level im guessing) and slap me 2-3 times and im down. Had to wait about 30 min befor two others showed up to do it. Not gonna lie, it was frustrating.

Whats next, Orr?. =/
