I’m having a very addictingly fun time thus far, and have made a point of being online at all the act starts and will be there on the 31st as soon as I’m off work. Having a complete blast, and leveling, getting some upgraded gear drops, tonnes of mats while doing so!

Got to say I’ve enjoyed 99.9% of it all, only need one more achievement ‘Attend the Party’ for the Mad King title, gonna be great!

This is a new game with new mechanics. i personally expected some issues this halloween . im having a great time and loving what youve done with holiday content so far.

I’m just wondering what in the world they could do in Act 4 to outdo smacking the Mad King around….lol. I Waited years for that opportunity I was not disappointed

Yeah, it’s sad that the displeased minority has been the most vocal. The rest of us are too busy having fun in game to come here I guess. :P

Yes, it’s a good event, or actually a series of events. Though my favorite is the toilet paper rolls, I think. Or maybe the kid in Lion’s Arch that can’t pronounce “Halloween” and yells “candy day!” instead.

the event got me back into the game, I really enjoyed it.
- a shame about the whiners though, but then again no game community is complete without them

Loved this event!

It has had it’s problems and I got rather annoyed with a few bits but I had a lot of fun and it’s clear a lot of effort went into it. The people complaining are just butthurt that it’s not 100% perfect and made entirely just to please them

Huge fun yes sure there have been problems not suprising as this was an ambitious event! ANet could have played it safe and done something simple but it’s been spectacular Good job!

PS: Good job too OP we needed a thread like this! I can’t believe the level of rudeness and abuse that’s been thrown around makes me thoroughly ashamed tbh… gamers used to be so nice!

Indeed, this has been quite an exciting Halloween event. The jumping puzzle was one of the hardest/fun part for me, I liked it very much. I look forward to seeing new content from you guys! Great job!

I did not try it all and some parts are still not completed by me (hi Clock Tower) but even in my wildest dreams I did not excpect to have so much fun :-).
I like small tuches like NPCs in WvWvW or statue in LA.
Waiting for the last part and thank you.

The only thing I have any sort of issue with is the drop rate on the event themed items in the BL chests. Other than that, I have enjoyed EVERY other aspect of the event, to the point where I actually completed all of it! I RARELY do that for MMO events, and I’ve been to hundreds of them now.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Halloween stuff. Not all parts of the event are to my taste, (I’m not that fond of timed jumping puzzles) but so what? That doesn’t reduce my enjoyment of the rest.

super fun. been super exciting anticipating things and having new things to do and explore even the “frustrating” clock tower somehow Anet has made so fun, u can just keep doing it and doing it and its still addicting xD

I love the Halloween stuff that we’ve had so far. And normally I don’t even care much for these things.

I liked the event as well so far. I will grant them that it’s their first year and things need to be ironed out for the next time. It’s not perfect by any means and I have yet to be that tower – which is the hardest part due to camera and character occlusion issues but I think I am getting the hang of it and just need a time where not many people are online. But the fun so far was indeed the greatest I have had in a long time of playing MMORPGs.

The ideas are great and I loved how doors suck you in. It’s what I discussed with a friend the first day of the event and they sure delivered. However the payoff is terrible and it feels like low level characters are excluded because of the different areas you have to visit for the scavenger hunt. Also I was looking forward to the clocktower jumping puzzle and then I got…this..

So. I was excited, but sadly the way they executed the content when it came to chest contents and halloween items as well as the tower and mad king dungeon. I am severly disappointed. It is mostly littered with cheap deaths and artificial difficulty, which to me just equals: wasting more time. not: inject more skill.

Especially hate how the mist/acid thing at the tower follows 1st place, pretty much ensuring only one person makes it, and then proceeds to farm it at the expense of everyone else.

I feel just the opposite. I dislike the “events”.

Other than desperately wanting some way to use the obscene amounts of corn, teeth, nougats, and skulls I have I’m quite happy (which should be obvious by the fact that I have obscene amounts I have nothing to do with after putting aside enough for crafting later).

My only complain thus far was that my game client crashed when Mad King appeared so I miss his live appearance at 3am local time

Other than that, yeah, this event have been pretty epic. I bought the Mad King costume as memorabilia for this event, heh.

Looking forward to xmas/new year event, IF there is any that is.

Don’t get all the whining get you down! A lot of us really enjoyed all of it so far ( still gotta attend a party )

Work a bit more on the execution next time Anet. I suggest you read “the art of game design: a book of lenses” and use the cards that come with it when designing these events.

I love the Mad Realm added in Act 2. Wish I could do Act 3 but don’t really know enough people and aren’t quiet up to level.

I enjoyed this latest Act. It was entertaining waiting around the statue in LA wondering what was going to happen. The Mad King’s appearance was very impressive.

I can’t finish the scavenger hunt because I only have lower level alts but I’m fine with that. I made that choice rather than sticking to a single character who would be 80 by now. There’s still lots of stuff to do with my alts.

I ran the Act 3 MK dungeon twice with guildies and it was quite fun. It was beautiful and creepy artistically and the dungeon was a neat combination of boss fight/jumping puzzles.

“The Great Bookah” LOL The Mad King won’t live down that nickname.
