New Runes/Sigils

They’re getting rid of Magic Find as a gear stat by the end of this year, so keep your chin up!

I seriously doubt they’d add more Magic Find gear when they’ve already announced its going to be removed.
Sure, its on Celestial, but that’s a catch-all stat combo for every single stat and that includes MF as well.
As for Runes / Sigils… I can totally see a rune that summons a Watchwork robot similar to the ones that summon hounds and the like. Especially since the recipes will be bought with watchwork parts and probably made with them.
Possibly a Sigil that boosts Torment duration. Maybe even one that inflicts Torment, since there are Sigils that inflict all the other damage conditions.

I’m referring to the new stat additions in general.
They actually thought it was a good idea and that we would use MagicFind/Healing/Boon% trinkets. Then they wondered why people were salvaging them for ectos instead of actually using them, and permabanned a couple of players.
After that we got some Settler’s gear or something like that, with stats PvErs don’t care about.
But who knows? ANET might surprise me this patch.

Watchwork Mechanisms
Watchwork tech is the latest and greatest innovation in Tyria. Watchwork parts can be used in new crafting recipes or as currency in the Crown Pavilion to buy items like new rune and sigil recipes, Watchknight Tonics, or the new Sovereign Weapon Set. You might even find the recipe to assemble a Watchwork Portal Device, allowing you to create a personal portal!

Actually I’ve been hit by this thing in spvp and I feel like it doesn’t have an internal cooldown even though it says so.
Nevermind, it does. So how in the world was this mesmer constantly applying chill on me whenever he pewpewed me with the greatsword.

Agreed, but then again…. I think we have enough conditions flying around everywhere, so maybe not. Maybe a poison on crit sigil, could leave the burn one out.
I’m personally hoping for more Runes/Sigils with Boon Duration. Currently all we’ve got is the Giver’s Insignia and associated Wintersday gear.

There are plenty of Runes with Boon Duration. 3 different sets of them, I believe (though the 3rd is limited so that you can’t get +45% boon duration from runes alone).
If you’re talking about stat combinations for armor, that might be nice. As long as its less pathetic than Giver’s. 6% percent boon duration for an entire set of armor is NOT worth it.
I think you all are reading too much into this – new rune/sigil recipes don’t mean new runes/sigils. There are existing runes that are too rare because they can’t be made directly. I could be wrong, but it’s an alternate explanation.

Depends on how you read the wording.
To me, its saying there will be recipes for new runes / sigils. You’re seeing that there will simply be new recipes.
I don’t think either way is strictly “right”. Could go either way.
Its a lot more interesting to speculate about completely new runes / sigils than it is to speculate about Divinity runes becoming less of a pain, though.

Runes of Tormenting (1) CD damage (2) Torment Duration (3) CD damage (4) Chance to cause Torment on hit – vice versa for Perplexity. Not sure about Exhuberance yet.
Renewal is heal allies on weapon swap (180 radius), Malice and Bursting are both Condition Duration (4% on minor, likely 10% on superior).

It’s a little expensive, but someone should buy sprockets on the TP and get the other recipes – if we all work together we can figure it out quickly. I could also do artificer but lunch is calling. If no one has done it by then, I guess I’ll shell out the money. Grumble.

Why is that a “Pro-tip”? Sigils and Runes serve different purposes. It’s not as though by buying a Sigil you will get the same benefits as the Rune Set.

it seems that the sigil of renewal is bugged.
I tested it in WvW and it didn’t heal the nearby allies

In the context of me suggesting people buy the recipes to find out this info, I was saying it’d be cheap to buy those recipes and tell us what they do, not that sigils and runes were co-committal.

the rune of perplexity is bugged. I crafted and put it on my mesmer the 4 piece bonus will give you the 3 stacks of confusion not the enemy.
