Release and head back to the dome, pick an easy-ish boss you know you can handle. Drag the fight out for as long as you can. Your coin loss will be less than the farmers. Laugh.

Not sure what this accomplishes, I can just go to another dome while you’re making everyone wonder what your deal is. =)

Personally, I never wait around or ask for a rez. It’s a short walk, and I don’t feel like passing off my burden on someone else. I died, I’ll deal with it myself.

Any sufficiently advanced skill is indistinguishable from luck.

As one of the farmers, I stopped ressing too.
Not because of the 10 seconds it takes to ress but because the majority of the people don’t have the common courtesy to wait and let you queue first after ressing them.
They don’t say a word and rush to the npc to queue before you, so you have to wait another 1-2 mins.
That way we lose 1-2g every time we ress someone.
Farmers want only one thing, gold the most efficient.

So if you want to do liadri or the other bosses, I suggest you find a dome with people doing those and most likely you’ll be ressed.

^ The problem with that suggestion is that not all of the domes are created equal. Some of the domes place the light wells in really inconvenient spots, or the timing of the Cosmic Orbs just doesn’t sync up well with the light wells. This means it is much harder fighting Liadri at some domes than it is at others. (From personal experience, Liadri is easiest at the Charr and Asura domes. The Norn one is undoubtedly the hardest. The others seem to be somewhere in between.)

On the other hand, you can farm Deadeye/Tyre in any dome you wish with no real ill effect. Therefore, the fairest solution would be for the farmers to head to those other domes.

true, when i am farming, i choose the domes that don’t matter for me, but make more of a difference for Liadri. i will always stop and res peolpe too, even if it means i leave a turn. and @Minisoballz, i agree, there are people who after u get ressed, don’t say a quick ty, rush to the NPC and queue. i guess they are on their own agenda as well though, so no different from the farmers or anyone else.

that being said, if that happens, i just go find another dome. more cases than not, take a loop and that same person will be gone.

the Norn one for the farm is not bad, i onno why maybe cause the fight manager is further away from everyoen else people don’t like it as much lol.

on the other hand, when i was doing my liadri fight, if i saw deadeye farmers, i’d leave them be. some thank me as well after i asked them if they were farming, and i got smiley faces. so compared to the thankless “regular” players, the farmers were a lot nicer in my book. i guess i’m trying to say that not all farmers are scum of Tyria.

though i will say, why don’t Liadri fighters all work together? fight in the same dome, party up, call target makes a HUGE difference and they can all help res when needed? and then give tips, etc. cheer each other on. that’s what i’d look for. i still have the 8orb achieve to do, and i definitely won’t pick a dome where there are existing people doing deadeye. choose one that is liadri focused. makes the experience a lot better because you CAN all talk crap about her together. ; ))

You can’t say the dome doesn’t belong to someone then claim the other person has “priority”. wtf

Sure you can. Ownership != priority. Ownership gives you the right to exclude others, which is what some of the more selfish farmers want to do. They want to have a dome all to themselves so they can farm Deadeye 24/7. Priority isn’t based on ownership. Priority just means that the person who is legitimately trying to complete the Gauntlet gets to have his fair shot in the dome before you get to resume your farming. You still get to farm in the same dome, you just have to take turns.

In a game where gold buys you nothing but different skins, the shallow greed that drives some players in this game is really astounding. There’s nothing wrong with farming up some (or even a lot) of gold, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a total kitten to everyone else.

No, it doesn’t. It’s a first come, first serve basis. I am not obligated to rez you, nor does it make me a total kitten for not doing so. People seem to have this problem of expecting people to help them, and those who don’t are apparently just the scum of the earth.

No matter what you are doing, you are not entitled to that dome at any time other than when you are fighting a boss.

I still say they should let those random lost oozes on the catwalk wander around ressing…
