As the title says, we have a number of environments and I think you have really missed a trick by not having an underwater area within the Pavillion.

Some 3D combat would make a nice change and a good challenge.

And what’s that challenge? Trying to find all our underwater aoe skills and pressing 1 harder?

Unfortunately, a lot of players hate underwater environments. Which is too bad because I’m sure they planned a lot of things with it and are now more hesitant to release new ones.

And the crown pavillon isn’t an ideal place for a challenge.

What we need is an underwater city/island akin to Atlantis. And equipped with a giant bubble protecting those inside it from the water. I’m thinking more for the scenery. With large whales towering above you, etc. As for underwater combat…no thanks.

Yeah, I agree. Underwater combat doesn’t get nearly enough love.

Needn’t have been a pizza-slice of the Pavilion. Maybe one or two bosses in the Gauntlet. After all, they went to all the trouble of putting walls and roofs on the gauntlet areas, so they’re probably watertight.

Underwater combat doesn’t get much love because it’s just awful. We have an extremely limited selection of weapons and half of our utilities are disabled, meaning that the chances that we’re able to piece together a build that’s semi-not-useless are extremely thin (as a power necromancer, the only useful thing that I have underwater is swiftness.. so I can get out of water faster) Not to mention that the combat is extremely clunky, and that times tenfold when you’re fighting near the water surface.
Underwater combat doesn’t just need some love, It needs a complete redo.

I like underwater fighting…should have been at least 1 boss underwater.

I play ele, engi, guard and necro. So far theyre all very enjoyable even underwater, though guardian is confusing sometimes cuz all the icons look the same underwater =]

If you want a underwater boss. Its called Honor of the Waves, Path 2 and 3. Both have a underwater boss.

Centaurs can’t swim XD

I would have liked an underwater pizza slice if only to spice things up.

But if the humans never had to fight an epic battle under water, then it doesn’t make too much sense… I guess you would have had to make something up or move part of the pirate fight under water.

I’m amazed that there is no pizza section with risen, seeing how it was the risen that stomped the Krytan capitol city into the ground (Old Lion’s Arch). I would have thought that they were more of a “challenge to humanity” than, say, the ogres or destroyers.

Ele is a bit confusing because the main nukes are in the water attunement for whatever reason.

Not every aspect of this game is for everyone. Lot’s of people hate jumping puzzles, but we constantly get a new one of those.

Yet, no underwater update.

There would be nothing wrong with adding an underwater update every now and again in addition to the dozen or so jumping puzzles that are added.

Saddens me that a whole aspect of the game is being ignored and pushed out.

Agreed. I don’t like JPs either, but I respect they exist and are pushed because ppl like them. I love underwater combat and environs and so plenty out there. No reason not to have some small underwater content updates here and there for those who enjoy them.

Just to add insult to injury, they’ve been conspicuously ignoring underwater weapons in almost every set of recent weapon skins (aetherblade and zenith have them, and that’s been basically it. No Fused, no Jade, no Sovereign, no Zodiac…)

Hell, they can’t even be bothered to give most tridents and harpoon guns a unique model as opposed to “Staff/Rifle of X Set, but underwater”.
