Looks like they merged this thread, so I’m guessing they are aware of this issue, and I think we’ll be hearing an answer about this shortly.

Dear Anet,

I really like GW 2. For 3 months I have been playing the game. But now I’m really disappointed….I missed the ending of the Lost Shores event because of the DC. I’ve spend 2,5 hours on the last event, I almost defeated the Ancient Karka, and then the DC. No cutscene, no chest, no loot. I hope you can give me, and all the other players who got the DC, a chance to do the event again. Or maybe you can give us a least on item…(the 20 slot bag for example)

Same here. I spent 3 hours doing event and my client crashed right before the cut scene. After 30 minutes i was able to log in , but chest was gone

If we are lucky they will do something stupid like run it again, hahaha like I will sit through another couple hours of that grind fest to risk getting nothing again, easily the worst event ive ever seen in a mmo

This also happened to me. I was able to enter and leave the island until I chanced on an overflow where the event was still going on and complete the event after all.

Want to add my voice to this thread as well. The same thing as Moody happened to me. 3h15 doing the event, game crashed, got nothing, pretty pissed off.

Same here, I crshed as the boss died and got no reward. I submitted a bug with a screen shot. I read that there was a cut scene, I never got to see it. This is the worst bug I have seen in all my years of playing mmorpgs.

It looks like me and my whole party had the same problem.
DC at the exactly same time, few moments before final phase of the boss (killing thos silly webs…)

No rewards… Is there ANY chance to get the loot? i played about 3 hours (Overflow srvr…) and i played every thing i coult (noll was bugged the whole time for me) and i got (except to karma drops) lietrally nothing for the WHOLE kittening Event weekend?

I hope we get the loot anyway cause this sucks REALLY!

It’s just a drop in the ocean, but I also got disconnected minutes before the ending of the chain, which I followed troughout the whole duration. I couldn’t log back in due to server overload and, when I did, I got the reports of the lucky guildies who got precursors rubbed in my face (some of them didn’t even know what precursors were).
It’s hardly fair.

I also got disconnected right before the group I was with for at least 2 hours defeated the Ancient Karka. Was able to log back on only just now. So no event rewards, and no chest.

Same happened to me. I’m more annoyed with the event being terrible and not thought through. Too many bugs and laggy events.

I just won’t buy anything in the trade company shop with my money until i’m satisfied with the content i’m given, it’s as simple as that ANet.

i got crashed just b4 the boss was about to die,when i came back on i was in the lava:( i saw all the people at the chest and as i went towards it,it vanished
so after over 2 hours and all the hard work i got kitten all im very disappointed with this
seems it happend to a lot of us though

i got to the part where we were using morters then crash couldnt log back in till event was finished

I didn’t get any loot or experience either. :/ I did the entire weekend long event. Was going fine today, apart form clipping through the map to a lower level somehow once or twice, then when it came to the final fight, i got D/Cd when the Ancient Karka died, so I didn’t get anything when I eventually managed to log back in. Sadness :c

DC at the last event and wastn’t able to reconnect until the end … So missed the reward after spending 2 hours …
Feeling very disappointed and sad …
I only ask a possibility to have the 20 slots bag and the karka shell …
Precursors or other drop I can’t even think about it …

I also got disconnected from the game (and not my internet connection). I couldn’t log back in until 5 mins ago and at that point, the chest was already gone.

Same story, since Friday Lost Shores update I had more frequent client crashes. Crashed during event… logged into overflow continued event (30 mins behind where I was), crashed again and then event was finished on all servers, then the server crashed!! (gf’s client didn’t crash, and she had a great time! Managed to finish the event and get some loot!!) Good luck sorting out the problems Anet!

Almost same story. Teleport after phase 2 and when I teleport back to Southsun Cove I’ve got to location isntance where event have already ended. Very nice, no any loot and no any chance to get to event at least. Also then login issues and few dc.

I think pretty much everything was said about how irritating, nerve wrecking , frustrating and poorly designed this event was. As for my personal experience of this event… it just ruined the game for me. Spending 2 1/2 hours fightning with lootless giant crabs, I get disconnected after waypointing back when I died at the uncovering the explosives part of the event. Spent the next 45 minutes trying to log back in… and when I finnaly made it… event was over. Thanks for ruinning this game for me.

same thing got DC when pushing ancient karka to its lair after loggin in the event was done on every overflow no chest, no reward, wasted almost 3 hours of my time for nothing

Thank you, all I wanted was confirmation that Anet was doing something about it, most of us feel like we wasted 2/3 hours on this event.

I’ve never complained about anything else, but this one-time event today has really frustrated me, what with disconnection problems and preventing people from accessing overflow servers where the event still may be going on…

Anet gives us all a full exoctic armor in return! Than I’m satisfied

This happened to me too!

Yeah… That was a relatively fun/interesting event… but like others here, I kept disconnecting through out all of it. The last of which, when I kept getting put into earlier overflows, it was already over, unable to return to where I was to finish the event and get a reward box.

Guild Wars 1 taught me to hold ArenaNet in high regards as to how they treated their loyal customers.

Guild Wars 2 is so far not doing the same. My husband and I got disconnected after a painstaiking 2 hours of horrendously laggy gameplay and thus ended up with no reward.

Make these events work for all of us, not just for some of us. You did it in GW1 and if you got it wrong there, you went our of your way to correct it, do the same here and you may end up with a customer base that is loyal.

I crashed on Tarnished Coast, but it wasn’t due to a server crash. The lag just got so horrible that the whole game just gave up, rolled over, and died. I was extremely lucky that I managed to log back in just in time.. I’m so sorry, guys.

I too got time screwed out of loot. Meh. Disappointing logistics behind the event, I’d have to say.

for those of you that like me couldn’t see the final cutscene a dude on facebook put it on his channel go check facebook now it’s pretty cool that ancient karka was like a terminator “not the looks the resilience and stuborness before obvious death” and it died like one :p

I was there at the final battle after 5 disconnects and crashes, died and was ressed just in time to see the chest dissapear so i too didn’t get anything, crashed out about 2 mins afterwards, then spent the next hour trying to get back in getting the error about not connecting to login server, i couldn’t even login to this forum until about 5 mins ago

it happened to alot of people including me and i do hope there serious when they say there looking into it and its not jus a way to stop people moaning and bittching!

Please keep us up to date Anet. I would really like that 20 slotter for all the work I did.4

I got disconnected when I used a waypoint and by the time I was able to get through the crowded login servers the whole event was already over.

3 hours at the event and bring the ancient karka down to his grave, 30-60 seconds away from death and the chest that makes it all ok…. boom! Mass server D/C

Listening to my guildies on Teamspeak as they pull precursors out of the chest and I can only stare at my blank screen was devastating. I Have only been able to successfully log in to the servers now, 1 hour later.

After supporting GW1 and Anet for almost 8 years I am extremely wary of how this will turn out, depending on the response I may just hang up my support for you guys. There will be no more blind faith from this day. You need to show your customers that you care about them.

I have played al of the events this weekend and so i started the final event with a couple of guild members at the southsun cove the event was going well until
i from out of no ware died and has to respawn to the captians spawn point.

Wen i finaly could make my way back to the cave the chest was aready away.

I didnt get the time to ever get something out of it so my question is,
Is or would there be a way to get the event loot ?

I think it would be fantastic if they hooked up the disconnected mid/end event with some exotics via mail. It was a fun event. Just want to see something for the effort

You better look into it. After experiencing this much trouble with other event, NOW you think it’s a good idea to actually look into it…
You should’ve known in the first place that the servers couldn’t handle this much traffic… so just phase it out over time…

Now you have people (like me) who did the event for hours, just to end up being disconnected and getting NO rewards whatsoever… good game Arena net. Way to help your customers.

By looking into it I certainly hope you mean to give us the experience, karma, silvers and loot we so much earned by actually contributing to this event!
