i died and noone wanted to revive me so i went to the waypoint and my game crashed, no reward for me =(

i spent so long on it too!

Got crashed on the web part , couldnt login until the chest dissappered as my guildy told me..Ty for wasting my 2 hours when i got last 5 mins for chest…

whats worse is people on free trial are looting precursers and paid customers are disconnected

→ server has limit on playres
→ invite lots of non paying customers to fill the servers

pretty awesome, once you DC thats it, you cant even get back in!

I was disconnected at the beginning of the final phase of the event and by the time I was able to log back on the event was over and there was no chest to be found. I was a bit miffed, but Arenanet’s response has put me at ease. I’m not sure how they plan to go about solving the problem, but hopefully we’re not penalized loot-wise for server-side issues.

My game crashed at the final fight and I had to re-log. When I got back in, I was in a different queue and they had already killed it. By the time I went to Lion’s Arch and came back to get in my original queue, the group I was originally in had literally just killed it. So, I missed it…twice. Kinda annoyed that this was just a one-time thing. Would have been nice if it happened every few hours so that if people got dc’d/froze/etc. we could have another shot.

Ditto on the frustration. After nearly 2 and a half hours of gameplay sometimes Lagging quite bad, only to be knocked off and re-enter into a completed overflow. If one time events are going to be continued in the future, more thought and effort should be put into it.

Since as Richo said trials were looting precursor out of nothing while we owners got dc’d/crashed and can’t loot the chest , i just hope for a just solution.

3 and a half hhours of work only to get dc’d and unable to join the same server. real disappointment

Glad to see they’re looking into doing something about it. But it may be difficult to do. For example, I crashed at the last wave of reinforcements (the 2 champion karkas) and actually had to restart my system. This is a bit different from those who crashed right at the very end (though both myself and those who DC’d at the end were unable to find an overflow that had not finished).

I don’t have my hopes up for them to be able to do anything about my situation, but at least they’re doing something I suppose.

yeah I got disconnected twice while fighting the ancient and got no reward for three days effort…………..seeming this is my first week on the game this isn’t a good start. not sure if im going to waste much more time on it if its this badly buggy.

What about those of us that crashed and didn’t dc at the end? I crashed and came back in within less than a minute and the event was over. I was there for 2+ hrs and would like something from this outcome as well.

I just got disconnected while on the very last phase, we were going down the ramp, exploding last part, and suddenly crash, 3 guilds plus me got dc at the very end of event. 2 hours and loot lost… hope we all get rewarded as everyone else

well. at least they’ll do something about those who missed it. still makes me sad I missed it; however, I wouldn’t have been able to get the one at noon so I missed an overflow one that started late, still a huge bummer, to get to an overflow with it make it halfway and then dc.

I had a great time in the event. It was a lot of fun despite the huge number of deaths from the lag boss and the sudden-freeze boss and the disconnect boss. But having spent 2 and 3/4 hours battling through some great fights despite lag and disconnects, I finally met the unbeatable boss … the login server boss.

I hope when ANet come to evaluate participation in the event, if any rewards are forthcoming, that they look seriously at the amount of time spent fighting through the pre-cursor events. Like many others here, I didnt even get to see the final Karka event because the login server borked and wouldnt let me back in from 2.30 PST or thereabouts. Please, Anet, be careful not to disenfranchise those of us who couldnt regain access after game-load driven disconnects and breaks and were unable to participate in the final fights.

Disconnects are barely tolerable if game-server loads explode, but to be continually denied service because of a broken login server – is it a sign that so many people got disconnected that the login server broke?

I’m really, really upset Arenanet. I endured the entire 2 phases with lots of lag, bugs and all kinds of crap to just not be able to log during phase 3 today. I had RL stuff to do but I had planned stuff to be able to log in before the vent started, but to my surprise, I simply couldn’t even log into the game. Result: there was no way for me to participate in the very last event, as bugged, laggy or anything as it was. I’m really mad that I got to do the first parts of the event but because of a failure in your end, I couldn’t even connect to your servers after trying for about 30 minutes. Am I mad I couldn’t even get my rewards? Well yes I am, and I’m sorry if some dissagree. I was a Guild Wars 1 player, and it really pisses me how things have changed since we could do event missions for at least a week (say Halloween, Wintersday, Canthan New Year and so forth) and claim our rewards for those missions. It just isn’t fair to promote an event for weeks just to throw in such a shoddy job man. It really makes me think twice if I want to buy into the hype and participate in the next update.

The event was full of good ideas and intentions, but it seemed that they only paved the way for the road to hell. Lag was horrendous and made the event unplayable for me. I disconnected and didn’t get back in. Disappointing to say the least.

Very dissapointed, was on from 7am till 9:30 where i was disconnected and was unable to log back on, you may check my logs for proof. Would appreciate a chest to compensate what we lost with the same random chances. (if not higher hehe)

Ua I stuck with it despite not being to thrived about the event.

yeah the same for me after 2h of fighting when ancient karka was about 25% i got crashed and couldnt log into a game for about 45 min… so disapointing….

I’ve not experienced them lying. As far as I can tell, they’ve been up front with the problems, and I’ve seen improvement.

I wish they’d fix the lag issues that we experienced in Mad King and Lost Shore before Wintersday, but other than that, I’m satisfied that they are trying.

My thought at first is I lost my internet, but check it immediately with no problems.

Tried to login to Anet servers & failed. After a few tries I finally got in & the event is over.

So unless you where on the final stage of the event your not getting anything ? After an hour of fighting i got Dc’ed then after i got back on I could not get back to the OF server i was on, it says if was full when my grp mates where trying to invite me back.

I got to say i do not lke to complain or whine, but i must admit i feel frustrated having fought with a huge amount of lag and constant DCs to get nothing but an entire afternoon wasted. All i did was lose, because of lag i couldn’t play well and kept dying, yet i continued onward, to get DCs and constant transfers to random overflows that were not even on the part i was, and what happened near the end? well, i got DCd, when i finally got back i was on this overflow that was done already! pretty disheartenning if you ask me, i tried to keep changing overflows, but everyone appeared to be done… I gave up on the event, but it’s pretty sad to not get a reward for yours efforts, so this time i’m going to be on the side of everyone on this thread, because i know how it feels.

It sucks that we all weren’t able to get the rewards for one reason or another. I also think that anyone who participated in any one of the previous major one-time events should get these rewards as well. People may not be able to attend one because of work, or other RL things they are dedicated to, but it’s quite unfair if people who made it to the last event were given HUGE rewards, and others completely missed out because they were unable to make it. Personally, I think anyone who spent time doing the content around this date, or even doing just 1 of the one-time events should be rewarded just as much as someone who only attended the last event.

After 2 hours of fighting with lag and NINJA KARKAS™! i got d/c’d right after we took out the second reinforcement wave and when i tried to log back in i got an error about my account not being verified for the next x hours.After finally logging back in the karka was a pile of meat next to a lava pit.I am seriously angry and upset >:(

Attached is my crashed screen, about 20 minutes without changing.

I woke up at 4:00 am of Monday morning local time, attended this one-time epic event. Spent 2 hours doing this tough battle and died many times, then got disconnected, failed to login. I got nothing but tired and despair, feel like the whole day is destroyed.

Will we have had to submit a support ticket prior to this notice or is response to this thread enough? I am currently having issues with support login is why I am asking, these forums were my only means of d/c notice.

Would be nice if I actually could get into the servers during the event. The login servers seem to be down when the event was on.

Not havent disconected in the end but in the middle of the events. Feeling unhappy as didnt had the chance to be with my friends.
Sorry to say but the disconection problems is begining to be a big issue. I do not know if this is a server capacity problem and you squeeze them so much and the result is the disconections but you cant start an event passing an hour fighting across the event and because of a disconection, not to have the possibility and priority to join your team. It is the same problem also in WvW. Just now happened to an event !!!! It is hard to be happy loosing your friends and the participation because there isnt an emergency system which connect people where they was. Really after so many years I have never imagine that i could be disapointed by your company.

I also crashed- that has to be the worst event I have experienced. My motivation for the entire 2 hours of gameplay was the chest loot at the end.

When I logged back in, I got placed in some random overflow and could not resume the event. Wow, and ouch.

I enjoyed the event from what I was able to complete of it, but about halfway through I couldn’t stay connected to the kittens server.

Add me onto the list of “didn’t get a reward”. Over 2 hours invested into the event then DC and 0 reward.

Not sure how you go from GW1 seasonal events which were a huge success to GW2 events that are a huge flop. Stop doing one time events spread each event out over the period of a week. If you want 3 phases then put phase 1 and 2 in the first 7 days and phase 3 in the next 7.

If you try to cram all the players into the same spot at the same time for 2 hours of course you will crash. Spread things out and make everyone happy.

Seems to be a common story, 2-2 1/2 hours into the event and getting disconnected. Happened to me as well. I’m not here to complain or pass judgment. Guild Wars 2 is still an outstanding game, and I’ll continue to play. However, I feel reparations are due to those who put their time into this event.

I just rec’d a reply to the support ticket I put in, and it stated the they are exploring the possibility of providing the rewards to those that were affected. So lets hope everyone gets there rewards.

Would be nice to get something since half my kitten is damaged and broken.

Just wanted to post on here that I was also effected by an untimely disconnect. Very last part of phase 3, very disappointing. I hope to receive the event rewards, as does everyone else who was effected. I know that Anet always does their best and will come to a sufficient solution for all of us

But yes, this crap happened to me too. Spent 4 hours today going through the entire final event process. Got disconnected during a portion of the final fight with the Ancient Karka. When I finally got logged back in and connected to Southsun Shore it was not in the same instance (the overflow) as my party. I kept trying to minutes straight to join my party in the overflow but couldn’t because it was full! When I finally WAS able to join my party the chest had already de-spawned.

I basically spent 4 hours today doing this event, and with nothing to show for it, while I was getting linked all the nice exotics and precursor weapons my more internet-lucky party got.

Would REALLY hope something could be done about this, but not really counting on it at the same time. It leaves a huge, disgusting, and extremely sour taste in the mouth to have tried to clear up time this weekend to support this one-time only event only to get absolutely screwed out of the reward for doing so.

Yeah, I’m another that got disconnected while rolling the Ancient down. Another person that I grouped with is in the same boat and neither of us are having any luck in getting onto another server. It really is very disheartening after spending so much time doing something, only to get shafted at the end. :\

A bunch of us on a Henge of Denravi overflow got kicked off after we detonated the last four charges. Everyone I messaged who was in the overflow was DC’d.

Whatever ANet has to compensate us with, I sure hope it’s worth it. We had a chance to get PRECURSORS. I HIGHLY doubt they’ll be handing out free Precursors.
