This LW patch are just 2 world boss fights that you can only do every 2 hours? So unless your on when he event happens you have no chance of doing any of the LW content for this patch? So basically if your a person who dose not have a lot of time to play each day you could easly miss everything? Really? This sounds as bad as the tequatl update that was passed off as LW. After the Tower of Nightmares I had high hopes for the LW content to come. Guess I’ll lower my expectations next time.

The new world bosses are staggered so they don’t overlap, and take time to complete. Let’s go with 20 minutes total for either event, on average. Assuming you logged in at the single most inconvenient time (one minute after one of the bosses depopped), you would then have to wait 39 minutes for the next spawn for one of the two new bosses.

I’m sorry you find that to be too long to experience any of the content. Perhaps instead of playing a genre that revolves around social interaction and a living world, you should stick to the single-player variety so you can make the most out of your 38 minutes of game time.

Ok at no point is I say I only had 38 mins to play. Second, I was asking if this was just a world boss patch. My criticism came from the in ability to do anything else to do with the living world between boss spawns. Unless I missed something. Hence me asking. Now back up and back off.

Between spawns you can hunt down those thumpers and get power core pieces to get inside Scarlet’s Hideout. Overall it’s really just a boss patch though.

Assuming you log on at ANY other time (the times you call more convenient), you’ll find yourself in overflow.

Or, you could wait with your friends on your own server and get kicked into overflow just as the event starts, find yourself suddenly alone and watch the event quickly fail, again…

Any of us who were around for the Tequatl patch saw this coming a mile off.

The way to look at it is this:

You do the achievements you can realistically do, and just be prepared to write off the rest. Then we take that interview with Colin from some of the other sites as hope that expansion, or expansion-like content, is being worked on behind the scenes and accept this LS stuff as filler.

I think, you’ve just got to be realistic about it. I play most of the time…even I don’t really want to server camp all day just to get the chance to try at a kill. I likely will though because my stupidity will get the better of me. I know it sucks that this is what we get after 7 weeks, but the game is still fantastic (in my humble opnion) – so play the game in whichever way is most fun to you…if that is playing another game until the next patch hits, then so be it; if enough people do this then ArenaNet may have something to consider.

As for myself, I suspect I’ll be playing SimCity on one screen whilst I wait out the stupid timers on the other. Oh, to have that luxury, I know.

I cant speak for the Wurm encounter but Ive had no problem getting involved with the Marronette and with decent numbers (second time was on an overflow). Obviously neither time was a successful kill but most there were learning how the fight went and we still did pretty well over all.

The fights aren’t all there are. Just doing the Marronette allows you to proceed with the story part of the LS weither you fail or not. The instance in LA was well done and developed the characters there nicely. The rest is a scavenger hunt Im still working on that unlocks details on Scarlets story.

Over all personally Ive been pretty satisfied and I haven’t even done the Wurm.

I have had fun with the patch so far-
I had a great time on the kill bot fight even in overflow and the vibe was great,

So far I am hunting the story- which I find very intriguing this patch
