Why this content isn't working
Its Tequatl all over again, don’t expect them to upgrade their servers. Once people get their achievements the popularity will decrease allowing you to guest on a server that cares to repeat it.
Not to be a “Negative Nancy” but for the sake of the discussion I’d like to point out that not only did people complain about this during the Tequatl LS (as roguenub pointed out), but that people also complained about this during the Scarlet Invasion LS as well— which was quite some time ago.
Well I did see on reddit a few days ago that a dev had posted about client side upgrades in the next few months that might fix some of the connection issues at least….
The Marionette fight is extremely fun and very well done.
The problem is you having to count on random people to succeed. You can only explain so much, if people are unwilling to listen you will fail and nobody wants to fail because of random others they will never see again.

No, the problem is that you might end up on an overflow server with not enough people to do the event. You can’t even invite your own guild members if the event has already started because the main server is full. The devs haven’t learned anything since the Scarlet invasions and it was long ago.
The main problem with these is that they’re scaled for large zergs to do them, they haven’t been scaled down. We’re currently attempting the wurm with 7 people to each location, and failing miserably because too many champs are being spawned too often, and we’re getting far too many mobs than we can handle. This needs to be scaled down, BADLY.

That would be foolish. Everybody knows what happened to Sparkfly Fen after they revamped Teq, it has died on almost every server, nobody goes there anymore. I have a feeling the same will be done here on Bloodtide Coast, meaning all the areas directly south of Lion’s Arch will be completely dead. If they scale the boss, it fixes this problem as it means a group of 15-20 can complete this, increasing the odds of people going back to it.

Sparkfly was already dead before they revamped Teq. Thats part of the reason they picked that boss to begin with. Now at server reset guilds show up and take him down. They cap the map infact. But after that one kill of the day no one goes back. If they would scale the event, I believe more people would show up to fight him. Or if they increased the allowed amount of people on the map, at least more people would get a shot at him during that one kill of the day
