You know I’m sorry but I just can’t get jazzed playing a server like FA or SBI who has a wvw population so large that they can not only cap both their opponents BLs but still run a large zerg in EB and have enough to man towers in their corner.

It’s not an impressive feat of skill or show of ingenious tactics. It’s like watching a tsunami from the shore. Nothing skillful about brute force. I know they have to keep active by map watching and waiting for us to attempt upgrades before they let out zerg #8 of 40 to just cap and run.

Any money I would have spent to buy gold for upgrades and siege is not leaving my pocket now. How were transfers allowed to beef up certain servers and hurt others after leagues were set. I mean, IOJ lost a couple guilds that provided manpower that enabled us to be ranked silver then left before the league started. Not that those guilds were exceptional but they had bodies. Any subtraction from IOJ was an addition to FA. So it was a double hit in the number dept.

Trading deadlines are set in professional sports for a reason. If not, the teams with the best record towards the end of the season would just cherry pick stars for the playoffs. That is basically what happened here. And it has hurt IOJ and other servers I’ve talked to because who wants to play against a blob and just spend good money after bad when all that is happening is those two servers are just getting more and more transfers damaging the rest of the league. Sort of short sighted if you ask me.

TLDR: Nothing that anyone who plays WvW doesn’t already know. I’m sorry we left IoJ, but we did what was best for our guild. You guys are putting up a mad fight however. Don’t sell yourself short.

well, I was running around with 3 RET today and we were messing with this zerg in EB, about 25 people. Whenever we kited from them, or if one of us died to them, one of you (including a member of DIE) would either drop siege on us, /laugh, or /sit.

Just saying that it’s not just fa with this kind of behaviour. Maybe work on your awareness, I mean no disrespect.

Anyways we enjoyed fighting that zerg nonetheless, especially when we were able to pick off one of you in the middle of the zerg and get a stomp off.

Our side never wiped.. Stop trying to make this out to be some amazing back and forth action. It was a total of 15 minutes that started with me and a mesmer running into your 6-8 man group outside of bay where the mesmer died and I got away (on a dps guardian with 0 condi removal ROFL) which led to one of your players /pointing at me and /laughing. I told the rest of the group (who were looking for fights on another BL) to come make it closer to even numbers. First encounter was 8 of you at SW tower behind cubby. All 8 of you and a couple added pugs died without a single person from our side going down. Second fight about 5 minutes later was at SW camp after your server had just flipped it so it still had the buff. This was the fight shown in the video and it is pretty obvious how that turned out too. And then that was it, saw 3-4 more of you outside of your spawn a few minutes later, and then poof you disappeared from the map because nothing flipped red (not even a sentry) for the next 15 minutes, which is why Winters made his initial post about you leaving after losing two fights.

Try and twist it however you like, the fact is they weren’t good fights or challenging fights, they were stomps and very anti-climatic after the emote spamming that your side did and the fact that at least 3 of your “alts” were using perplexity.

As a side note, from the tone and length of your posts I would wager that you are much angrier and more worked up about this than Winters is, which is ironic cause you have tried multiple times to pull the “we just having fun lolol” and the classic “you are a kid and clearly less mature than I am while I argue with you about events that took place in a video game”.

I sent you a PM about the emote business about 10 minutes after you said it to work it out but instead you resorted to all the trash talk leaving me with no other option to continually defend against you, it’s an emote, and if it actually happened, then get over it.

Example, someone emoted me earlier this match up, I came onto forums and had my little outburst about it, but I was also over it 5 mins later, you on the other hand have dragged this out for nearly 48 hours.

And I don’t care that you guys logged off right after our fights, I was simply explaining why the first post from Winters happened. If there hadn’t been any emotes this would’ve never made the forums, but when you emote spam someone when you massively outnumber them and then wipe to them when you still outnumber them twice in a row, and then bail off the map (regardless of the reason why), you can bet that it is gonna result in a forum post. I tried working it out with your guildie, I never made a negative comment towards you, him or your guild and yet it’s what you guys relied on towards us, all I have done is correct him where he was wrong and tried to sort out misunderstandings.
You talk about delusional, but yet your guildie says we stacked heavies, we had no heavies and that was only one of the false accusations that was made.

Second, in equal fights IoJ absolutely melts. For many groups people will stack and buff, but when we see IoJ we don’t even worry about stacking. Why you might ask? Well, you all are running zerk gear and crap for class composition. It’s amazing how many rangers I have seen in your groups. Re-roll or forever be a bag for the opposition. Umm, yeah. Look to your own tag there. Bsty used to be a DR guild as far as I know. Great fighters all, but it looks like you guys “bailed” as well.

And the post by Vis about PvE patch day was a funny one, albeit true. IoJ has always had problems with large PvE patches. While they eventually come back by reset time, the borderlands become a wasteland with only a few defenders. And then the people who come back wonder why everything is paper. Personally, it is why I like FA. While people do play the PvE patches, it is not nearly as noticeable as there are many more WvW guilds who can cover the gaps that may appear. That is why I voted to move to FA.

IOJ has always had an obsession with PVE. This is why I left there last year to FA during the first WVW exodus.

They sat in tier 1 and 2 riding on the coat tails of the dedicated WVW players and left them high and dry during tough weeks. In return the WVW players left them to their PVE and went to servers that wanted to fight.

I don’t know how your reaction relates to his post, Zha. I didn’t get the impression that he was saying that CORE is only good because they’re on FA at all. All he’s saying is that we on IoJ value our community for who they are and not for what they play, which is true. Right now, IoJ doesn’t need to be yelling at players to stop playing their preferred profession because it’s not the meta right now.

Right now, IoJ needs to be working on rebuilding, on working together as a server, and on establishing a new wvw infrastructure, which is exactly what IoJ is doing from what I’ve seen. He’s saying that, despite the persistent beliefs to the contrary prevalent in this forum, IoJers still enjoy being on their server and fighting together. That’s what matters to us. We go into wvw to have fun and to play the game, just like all of you. We’re not miserable, even though we’re in last place.

Jay you couldn’t be farther from the truth. First, Aldrick and Vis are trying to be nice to you guys, but every time they offer an encouraging post you guys try to use it as a way to attack CORE for leaving. A bit pathetic don’t you think.

Second, in equal fights IoJ absolutely melts. For many groups people will stack and buff, but when we see IoJ we don’t even worry about stacking. Why you might ask? Well, you all are running zerk gear and crap for class composition. It’s amazing how many rangers I have seen in your groups. Re-roll or forever be a bag for the opposition. Sorry if the truth hurts but besides hiding in a tower/keep you guys are garbage only because you choose to be. Listen to guilds like MEND who know class composition and learn.

See you are a commander, your way with words must really “inspire” your troops on the battlefield. If you didn’t notice, IoJ is rocking 3rd and has been this whole season, so yeah, you may wipe us with your fancy pants solid zerg busting guild groups, again if you didn’t notice, you are in the #1 spot. From what I have been experiencing in IoJ, whether commanding or not, we are doing fine and having a fun time at it. We love our rangers, we love our thieves, and we love our independent pugs. They can roll whatever gear/professions they want. We are IoJ, and we are here cause we love our server and our population.

I don’t know how your reaction relates to his post, Zha. I didn’t get the impression that he was saying that CORE is only good because they’re on FA at all. All he’s saying is that we on IoJ value our community for who they are and not for what they play, which is true. Right now, IoJ doesn’t need to be yelling at players to stop playing their preferred profession because it’s not the meta right now.

Right now, IoJ needs to be working on rebuilding, on working together as a server, and on establishing a new wvw infrastructure, which is exactly what IoJ is doing from what I’ve seen. He’s saying that, despite the persistent beliefs to the contrary prevalent in this forum, IoJers still enjoy being on their server and fighting together. That’s what matters to us. We go into wvw to have fun and to play the game, just like all of you. We’re not miserable, even though we’re in last place.

That said, community is great and all but sometimes you need to look at what you are playing to make progression. CORE started out with the same mindset and then we progressed to better builds and composition and it worked wonders. That allowed us to improve our play and get to where we are now. Signants effect the player aswell as the pet. Well at least that’s what I see 8-10 rangers run.

You’re right. That ranger had no idea what was going on lol. But the commander was an alt? What about the guys with guard stacks? And that was a lot of nourishment for some alt fun time. Cmdr sigil and full food seems a bit much for non serious time =P

All I originally said was a great 6 hours with wipes on both sides and then your friend pounced on us with 1 video of 1 fight and made insults, I really can’t be bothered with it anymore and as most of IOJ knows, we were planning on transferring and Ebay with the respect most showed was looking to be number 1 choice at the time but you and your friend have really shown what your server is like, Thank you.

I agree that somewhere in a server’s progression, a focus on builds and zerg composition becomes very important. I just don’t know that IoJ is at that stage yet, not to sell IoJ short or anything. We’re doing amazing things given how low morale was at the beginning of the season, and I definitely feel like we’re doing better in many ways than we were the first week of leagues. I’ve played wvw on IoJ since January after getting the game for Christmas. I’m proud of where IoJ is right now, and I’m proud of the maturity that many IoJ players have exhibited recently in working to rebuild the server.

I’m a huge build/ideal profession person personally. However, not everyone plays the game my way, and there are people who love their profession and their playstyle enough that, were it not allowed in wvw for one reason or another, they wouldn’t play wvw. What they enjoy about wvw is how their profession interacts with the wvw setting, and I’m not in a place to tell them to reroll when they’re enjoying the game, just like I’m not in a place to tell guilds they can’t transfer so that they can enjoy the game on a server that better fits their preferred playstyle. We ultimately all play this game to have fun.

IOJ has always had an obsession with PVE. This is why I left there last year to FA during the first WVW exodus.

They sat in tier 1 and 2 riding on the coat tails of the dedicated WVW players and left them high and dry during tough weeks. In return the WVW players left them to their PVE and went to servers that wanted to fight.

Tell us more about how all those mean and nasty PvE players hurt your fee fees and forced you into exile.

You know I’m sorry but I just can’t get jazzed playing a server like FA or SBI who has a wvw population so large that they can not only cap both their opponents BLs but still run a large zerg in EB and have enough to man towers in their corner.

It’s not an impressive feat of skill or show of ingenious tactics. It’s like watching a tsunami from the shore. Nothing skillful about brute force. I know they have to keep active by map watching and waiting for us to attempt upgrades before they let out zerg #8 of 40 to just cap and run.

Any money I would have spent to buy gold for upgrades and siege is not leaving my pocket now. How were transfers allowed to beef up certain servers and hurt others after leagues were set. I mean, IOJ lost a couple guilds that provided manpower that enabled us to be ranked silver then left before the league started. Not that those guilds were exceptional but they had bodies. Any subtraction from IOJ was an addition to FA. So it was a double hit in the number dept.

Trading deadlines are set in professional sports for a reason. If not, the teams with the best record towards the end of the season would just cherry pick stars for the playoffs. That is basically what happened here. And it has hurt IOJ and other servers I’ve talked to because who wants to play against a blob and just spend good money after bad when all that is happening is those two servers are just getting more and more transfers damaging the rest of the league. Sort of short sighted if you ask me.

TLDR: Nothing that anyone who plays WvW doesn’t already know. I’m sorry we left IoJ, but we did what was best for our guild. You guys are putting up a mad fight however. Don’t sell yourself short.

I’m not entirely sure what you are referring to, but since these are internet forums I shall asshme the worst. It always seems to be about who is the bandwagon server doesnt it? And its always not the server you are on. Funny how that works out.

While they eventually come back by reset time, the borderlands become a wasteland with only a few defenders. And then the people who come back wonder why everything is paper. Personally, it is why I like FA. While people do play the PvE patches, it is not nearly as noticeable as there are many more WvW guilds who can cover the gaps that may appear. That is why I voted to move to FA.

Ofc we bailed, and we got some hate for it. But there is a difference from bailing on a server that can barely full queue a BL and a server like IoJ. I think we left the 10 SoCo people left in DR High and dry. then we got to repeatedly kill them when they xfered off DR a week later.

I mean we hated fighting IoJ because their insanely high oceanic night team. So no idea why you would leave that since ioj is clearly not a dead server.

For those complaints about hackers or what not during the epic battle of IOJ’s keep and Veloka yesterday, I was there for the last hour or so…and It was a lot of thinking and strategy that finally achieved the accomplishment of taking both these points.

With our Trebs hitting the keep from the South, we were able to get the wall open and then proceed up the ramp inside. This is where it got tricky seeing as it seemed like you guys had about 8,000 ACs facing that ramp. One of the great Guilds I was running with, sorry I forget who, decided to build a Treb on that ramp and then take out as much seige as possible. That treb guy had amazing accuracy. We finally cleared enough to go up the ramp and that’s when we build a few golems and had them storm the gates. Once the keep fell and we built a few more trebs to take down the trebs at Veloka, we were able to storm that tower as well.

It was strategy, it was patience, and it was great leadership that drove us to that victory (and numbers as well I guess..)

i didn’t personally see any hacking, read about it on the map or team chat and did not hear it being spoken of in the community TS either.

Do not measure servers by their trolls and forum warriors. For you must remember…higher population = more trolls. Plus only a fraction of players really post here, so this is in no indication how any server actually is in terms of in-game community.
