Nobody wants to join your WvW guild for mandatory PvE events. Actually no guild should have “mandatory” events of any kind. If something is fun people will show up. If it’s not fun, you shouldn’t “force” them to. This is a game, not a job. The goal is to have fun.
Back to WvW. Has anyone used any of the new traps yet? Are they worth it?

Good we dont want to go to tier 2 and we hate transfers. We do our best to be as unwelcoming to new players as we can to keep the trash away.
I don’t get why anyone would lose respect and dislike someone for going to a different server. No matter what the reason is, it is ultimately that person’s choice and whether or not you liked them, you should just move on. This is drama between one guild that stemmed from two people. Stupid drama too, give it a rest.

I didnt start this… I left on my own accord for my own reasons, this blew up because people in Maguuma wanted to make a stupid argument out of it, i wished people the best and said good bye.
Odd, I never got any goodbye message. Last I knew things were cool. Then I find out you jump ship over what happened (pretty egotistical reaction imo). Really shows the charecter at heart. Long term power struggles, infighting, politics, playing favourites and demoting officers without any valid reasons (“suddenly mandatory” guild mission) can do that to you. Whisper Zero for more details.
Zero Xcel: You were rude to Miekkä and while I don’t agree with the way she handled it, you were no better yourself so to point the finger is a double edged sword.
As guild leaders we have every right to shape the guild into whatever desire we want to, and not to what Zero Xcel expects or demands (just to clarify, Beautykills, Iamtheduke and War Legend Lu Bu are the 3 leaders of WäR). WäR was founded on being a tight knit group of FRIENDS who are willing to help one another out in anything that is asked. You’ll be our friend as long as it fits what you want? Heh, some friend. I hate PvE probably as much as you do, but I have helped guildies with dungeons and other such things because it’s important to THEM, not to ME. Obviously WäR is not for you and I have no regrets about you leaving. I just think it’s funny and sad at the same time to leave a server over this, while leading me to believe things were fine, only to leave without saying anything to me, when I thought you and I were “cool”.
Since when is “mandatory helping” considered helping at all? You should help people based on your own terms. Your should help people from the kindness of your heart. You should help people because you like that person. Any “mandatory helping” becomes just a job. It just becomes a “law” that you got to follow or be punished.
And just based on the fact that you need to enforce this “mandatory helping” thing just to get members to help you, I can see many problems in your guild leadership already. Your guild leadership seriously cannot get people to help with guild missions without making it into a law? What kind of relationship do you have with your guildmates?
And here you are lecturing people about leadership.
Zero refused to do guild missions. => Your guild leadership publically humiliated Zero (on public mumble) and then demoted him in front of 50 people of Maguuma.
Tell me exactly how guild missions aren’t mandatory in your guild.
I didnt pay money for the game to follow orders I bought the game to have fun and meet like minded people interested in WvW and be competitive thats it.

A carefree guild should NEVER have any mandatory events, neither pve or wvw. By definition WaR is no longer a carefree guild.
You said so yourself earlier that you do not like to be bossed around and forced to follow rules.
Solution: You should quit your WaR. Its not the ideal guild for you.

there actually was some resistance at first, until you wiped once and then vanished. you had plenty of supply to use to build arrowcarts and defensive siege that would have ANNIHILATED the group that took your keep (twice).
surely “T8 servers” know what siege (+placement) is?
I thought KN still had some sort of oceanic presense, or is that only on the weekends? I’m going to be off the next couple of days and I was looking forward to returning to Bony o’clock and finally having some serious defense or fights.

Although id like to say thanks to the asuran maguuman who didnt spike me after i took out the redbriar(?) sentry in their borderlands 2 nights back on my upleveled necro ) spent most of that night running around seeing what I could get up to in there before being caught. Very nice of them to let me get up and claim my meager capping reward, and also the 2 other mags who where dueling Junny Purr beside Redbriar… first time ive seen that sort of civility so it was an interesting change (and in mags borderlands to boot), was a surprise after basically being forced to ditch EB due to the late night green tide taking everything we had from out outmanned hands, after loosing OL most of us said meh and went else where.

The only drama on Maguuma for the past two-three months has been exclusive to the WaR guild. All the chest-pounding on the forums doesn’t exist in-game because we Maguumies like to stir up trouble with the other servers.
Wait, I had no idea there was a bounty for Zero’s head. I should have collected already. The things I miss out on. And about “camping” towers, we have people in every structure across our borderlands as a strategy to combat the new crossed swords timer, not to fight you. We’re not worried about your commanding. Not to say the 50 man zerg doesn’t worry us, but so far the uplevel karma train as done a decent job of holding you back.

I’m pretty sure that was me since I tend to do that with uplevels! Getting destroyed on an upleveled character isn’t so fun when you don’t have a real chance to compete with a geared out 80.
Zero, I rarely go into Eternal so I only saw you lead once, and I was just semi-afk reading Eternal mapchat because it rules. Have fun on Kaineng. Let’s all move on.

Not sure how people think the forums and playing the game would be the same experience.
It’s funny, right? Because last night in public mumble there were a few folks doing their best to lead, even though they’re not 100% comfortable with it. They tried a few things against fortified keeps and greater opposing numbers. Although we didn’t get that keep, there were some great fights and a good effort. It was fun… All the time, both of those commanders were apologizing in public mumble for not being more successful, and taking the blame. Totally different atmosphere… In game, there seems to be a lot more humility than you would think, if you judged all of mags based on these forum wars.
