Keep posting the videos though. They are fun to watch. But I think you need to change something as the quality looks very grainy and laggy. Ask the AD guys for tips. They are pretty good at encoding. Though I am still waiting for more NoQQ ones with jerzi and larks:(

You really shouldn’t call this “zerg-busting” when you have at least the same numbers if not more. I suggest covering up the minimap next time so we can’t see all the green dots.

But yeah that video is a bit grainy and doesn’t really show much apart of you guys zerging and turtling a camp vs smaller numbers that actually come out of the keep to fight. It is a nice video to see for DR though. As it shows why zerging is BAD! Why trying to zerg a position protected by siege, without your own support is bad. It does show that locking down a 40+ man zerg in a camp that usually gets flipped for every tick anyway is good.

I really don’t think you understand what those phases mean because:

There was AT least 50 DR outside that camp spread out from the entrance to the camp to the entrace of bay akittens biggest until you all got tired of dying(as was obvious when all kills stopped giving any form of wxp) and left except for the few that stayed behind in the last few minutes of the fight
OR
Is that why yall didnt manage to flip anything the whole time you had us “locked down”. Hell FC did better then yall and TOOK STONEMIST while yall had everyone there fighting us. Yall couldnt even get a small group to go flip that tower.

Is that why I counted AT LEAST 10 Arrow carts and 3 Ballistas that got built outside that camp as you tried so hard to push in and take it.

There were roughly 20 [HARD] member’s last night actually coordinating on vent, now as with any group your gonna have pug’s tag along (safety in numbers), we even tryed to have someone else command so we could move in relative silence. My point is the start of this thread was “LOL IOJ ZERG blah blah blah”, followed by “lol where’s this footage, post it then!”, which i have. I blatantly showed DR’S zerg in NA PRIMETIME (EST for the record, baltimore STAND UP) getting whacked, that FC happened to show up was more of a random occurence. At one point we had a decent size FC force (15-20 maybe? FC can prolly confirm) at our back’s while dealing with a 40+ DR zerg in our front. We post footage to back-up our claim (i have another 2 gig’s easy), and then it’s “omg u were smashing small group’s”, i call BS. At the fight otuside of bay there was easily 50+, and when we capped bay prior, we had a 50+ dr zerg and a FC zerg of how many i have no clue (the holy lag part), but it was enough to bring my machine to a crawl.

Gotta commend DR on their response times when we’ve tried hitting Hills and their Garrison during the last 24 hours. One occasion we were in the Lords room about to cap your garrison and got spotted as we downed your lord. If I had the numbers from when we tried pushing 30 mins earlier we may have capped it, but kitten happens sometimes. Almost got you Hills too, if only our Mesmer hadn’t been spotted when we ported in! XD Good times.

I have no problem with the movie since it looked like relatively even number fights but if you are going to call DR a zerg in that movie then you would have to call IoJ a zerg as well in that movie. It was a zerg versus zerg movie.

May I suggest that… next time, please provide more contexts in the first place, such as time/timezone and place, either on the clip title, in description section, or in the forum post.

So, the zerg you’re referring to here, last night, is different from the zerg we, our people, saw and were talking about in the first two pages. Also your people mentioned some new blood into WvW. I’m not going to argue this with you tho. We may have some, too, but somehow I feel we are pretty much the same, even lose some old faces…

Still, there are a lot of IoJ last night at your NN camp, our SW camp, and maybe also SS camp. It’s Monday afternoon, regular weekday in Oceania. Your Oceanic people are most likely not online.

And, frankly, some IoJ people really successfully kitten ed our people, and/or (even?) me(?) off… please check my peaceful first post here, and maybe…

I am not surprised that all our hardcore or even softcore WvW players during that time, NA prime time, were there (and/or somewhere else earlier) having some fun with you. I WP to Hills in the middle of the fight in your clip for watching FC in our east, and, yea, refreshing sieges.

Anyway, I’ll check and provide the screenshot on that information next time I see him. (if it’s not against forum’s rule[?]) On the forum or PM to DR people here – some people probably know how to see his full ID in-game.

I think we DR people should definitely report him for botting this time. Received system warning messages several times while idling and doing so these past two weeks. Anet should’ve fixed the auto-healing trick.

As for our spy in IoJ, please troll him (or her) with creative and funny messages, and please do have the screenshots for everyone. (I see none here, or I missed the good old days…) This thread desperately need some fun, I mean real fun, not flame…

You should face DH. At least against us you can retake everything on your primetime. When we were against DH we can’t even retake everything we lost on both NA and Oceanic primetimes. Did we complain about it? No, DH made us better. We learned tactics and now we are against you guys and we use those tactics. We may have better numbers than you but we cannot do anything about it. We can’t tell people to “Hey, get out we are too many, they might lose! Our enemy might cry foul that we are too many!”

Once again, play whenever you want. The whole purpose of my thread was to draw attention to some guy bragging about the map after most of our population was offline. I’m not crying, I’ll spend another 5 hours tonight fighting in WvW. Take all the points you can, and then brag about it if you want. If you guys feel good, great for you.

Directed at the guys that are constantly putting down our server and getting all uppity about our PvDooring “DRs one weakness” someone pointed out

It was those forum guys that posted saying they were dominating our NA time (which they meant dominating in PPT), so i was expecting them to be dominating our map not FCs

and we found people to fight, we were just outnumbered majorly, never was conisder a fight…just grape

Love how IoJ’s community is bonding more and arguing less with each other.

Like Starkk said, I wish you guys had more oceanic presence. In my case, I’m closer to NA time rather than Oceanic. But since I’m on vacations I can wake up a bit earier to roll with our Oceanic team, which for some reason is easier to command for me during that time. Not saying NA’s are bad though, I’ve gotten to play with a lot of new players and they’re learning fast which is great for IoJ.

You’ll see me around, I’m that little sylvari ranger causing ( or attempting to) mayhem in the most unexpected places in EB.

Actually had a good long duel with a Ferg sylvari necro in our BL tonight til another red crashed the party and I called it off. Very rare since I suck at dueling. Quite courteous, too, backing off when my staff tagged a moa by mistake. May all your minions be juicy!

LOL You Btsy guys in IoJ, kitten you and your 3 man team that norn gaurdian would not die! Amazing you lot but we finally got you down!

I enjoy a lot of 1v2 but when you get to 50 repeated 1v4’s where you down 1 or 2 only to have them be rezzed it gets really annoying.

Hello! I’d like to announce that I will be hosting a Fight Club on Thursday afternoon, hopefully 8 PM EST depending on any update/patches interferences. A notice will be posted if there are any changes, otherwise; the rules, information, and description of Fight Club will be posted earlier on the day of Thursday!

I remember last match-up with IoJ that we had great numbers of participants and enjoyed it very much, and I wish the best of attendance towards Ferguson’s Crossing, as I heard many people were excited to attend from the FC Server!

Theyre trying to get DR to hit us aswell… DR’s always been like this! We’d hit DH wayback when and have DR hitting our borderlands. Same old same old. We could have easily been put down to 0ppt if both servers focused us.

EDIT: Oh and give credit where credit is due, great bay defense FC! Made us work for it for sure. Lucky DR took the time to flip your borderlands otherwise we’d only be left with garri!

Last night we actually defended garrison against a DR zerg and returned the invasion favour by paying DR BL a visit and stealing Bay from IoJ and getting Garrison and a tower or two.

It’d be great if DR would pay IoJ BL a visit once in a while too, rather than just focussing on FC BL for what I can only imagine is some quick WXP and a little PPT gain, since you seem to not care that we retake it all back fairly easy with the same few people we tried to defend with…

They had fun at our SE camp, SE tower, NE camp, NE tower, then NN camp (because we were busy at Bay and ignored them for so long), also Hills south gate and inner north, and later Garrison watergate, inner south, and the lord’s room.

Sorry, but for some reason, the outmanned buff popped out shortly twice during that time. Please forgive us for our inattention.

You can see how boring they were in our borderland from the first picture, and feel how happy they were from the third picture. Quite nice folks from [TTA].

BTW, met 3~5-man [Yarr] party several times at or near our SE tower, I think we held a temporary tiny spawn camping fight club on Sunday evening.

Ya thats why we have 100 more ppt than IoJ in that screen, and you are only 35 ppt away from ferg. And every single night this week we have taken at least your hills if not the entire map, and SM from you. We hit both servers just as hard with just as many people, it just happens that ferg has less players than you do, so their map falls easier/faster.

I would like to congratulate FC with their holding of IoJ Bay, was a good battle, a little concerning though you guys would let your entire BL fall for it, but it makes it easier for us to flip it all later I guess ;p
I’ve seen a lot of good fights during this match up so far, quite enjoying it, and its great to be in first place in overall points for a change (nearly 6 months of getting stomped is frustrating, politely put)
And it’s good to see DR fighting for first for a change ;p

Trust me, we at FC (and ET) know more about being stomped than anyone else in the NA match ups. And as it continues, finding polite words becomes more and more difficult…

But still we’re having a good time and fighting as hard as we can.

I’m levelling a new character while we’re retaking so much real estate and a DR thief really had to go and kill me with #1 bow skill while I was /sleep(ing) right at his feet…. DR has been in a long slow free fall for 6 months or so, and we have slowly transformed to a similar attitude.. and despite what some people say when you just like to fight you have to take things back to make sure fights happen cause some times its nice to fight from a position of strength instead of at your spawn point.

People take your BL, then they go to sleep/work, so immediately after we PvDoor your BL, you PvDoor us.

it’s pretty much economics: IoJ has far too many numbers for DR to even match, so we take whatever point we can get first (that is, your points), because fighting IoJ’s numbers will only end up in stalemate (during better days) or actually a loss (during the worse days), because you’ll be taking our points while we try to keep up with IoJ’s Unrelenting Force Numbers

It’s been like that ever since I started playing WvW (which is a few months ago), and right now it’s more benign, my first days of WvW is like being a Russian during the early days of German Blitzkrieg, if German used Trebuchets, Onagers, and Battering Rams instead of Messerschmitt-s and Panzer-s.

DR do, in fact, go on the offensive against the Outmanner instead of the Outmanned, but mostly try to go for stable points first (which, depending on the time taken, can be interpreted as “most days”)

World Versus Isle of Janthir

WE WERE SO kittenING CLOSE TO 695PPT, WE HAD 680 AT ONE POINT. WHY DID YOU LOT HAVE TO RUIN THAT, WHY!!!!

I am not sure why Anet lumped in Oceanic with NA. There would have been much better matchups if people with the same sleep schedules fought against each other. With IoJ, I wish our primetime crew could face the Oceanics, but that will never happen, and all our matchups seem to be is whose crew gets more done when the other is off.

This reset looked like FC and IoJ might have more primetime, but as week went on, that initial push faded, and we are right back into that orthogonal fight of the IoJ Oceanic v. NA Prime. It is clear that more of us NAs sleep during Oceanic prime than Oceanics sleep during NA prime.

Sat AM I came on to IoJ on our map. I get up early and play a bit with our Euros, and was happy to see some of our guys had held most of it til morning. But there was a good 30 IoJ on our borderland and we were outmanned, and the 5 people we could scrape together could not, even with siege, fend off IoJ. I know it is disheartening for those who spend so much time upgrading and keeping vigil all night long just have all of their hard work get ground down by the IoJ Oceanic zerg. Reports were IoJ had 30 man zergs on all maps in that time slot, which would have been challenging even for our prime time crew to handle. But against the skeleton crew at night, where there is very little organization, it is not really a fight. Those who do that defense earn my respect, but it is pretty much a lost cause.

Spiritualist spent Sunday taking 22 keeps, and kept it up Monday flipping stuff over and over. For the most part he was not opposed and he kept stuff paper for long periods of time. This is what it must be like for the Oceanic crew of IoJ.

DDLG assembled last night for zerg wrecking, and we rolled a lot of people on the IoJ map, and got distracted by taking their stuff. We wanted to do more open field stuff. The only real opposition we faced was taking the last tower (NE) with a bit of fun running around in the keep. My evening ended farming IoJ as they tried to take back Garrison.

If they ever merged DR and IoJ, that server would go high up on the tiers.

I looked at that HARD video. The part that went on the longest was that 25 man crew (I paused and counted green dots on the radar) at the SW camp. What I found interesting was the steady stream of green dots running back from spawn to that camp. I have been in battles like this before, where you wipe them over and over and they just keep running back, and you get maybe 2 WxP killing them the 5th time. Show me some footage in the open field not under support fire from arrowcarts or close to spawn where infinite runbacks factor in. Darkestshadows and Ill Loosin would dance circles around your field moves in that video. I bet the 10-15 VP regulars would mop the floor with that 25 you had in that camp.

I am very interested in seeing how days of dealing with Spiritualist works on IoJ and FC morale.

not sure if anyone on IoJ remembers me but I’m really sad that the one match up where it’s pretty much equal numbers on all 3 sides during NA hours I have to miss because I’m on vacation >.< Although on the bright side I get to fly all over Europe enjoying some of the best steaks I’ve ever had (will upload a picture of the beauties when I get home). I’m also glad to see IoJ is in first for once! Really wish I was there to get in on the fun but unfortunately I don’t fly back home till the 11th

Definitely been a fun match up so far. Highlight of my day today was when we (DR) managed to storm SM, catching IoJ off guard.

Been off for the last 5 days (MOVING SUCKS) and found myself in this crazy new matchup.

Being on the bigger side of the PPT and having SM and waypoints on other keeps in EB was just plain…strange O.o but it wasn’t without consequence…around early afternoon, N.A. times came two gigantic swarms from FC and DR, and i was thinking to myself (man this is gonna be awesome if they double team us, but would really suck if they didn’t)…

Lo and behold we were trying to fend off 60-100 people from two different servers hitting us everywhere, constantly getting us where we were weakest. Any time we’d take something back…there was no chance of upgrading it…camps would flip every 5-6 minutes, pretty much. Say what you want about DR’s strategy, but it makes for a really effective double team against a bigger/more entrenched opponent.

Watching multiple corners get whittled away little by little, including pressure on our own BL…is just plain EPIC.

There is no logic on FC, you must have us confused with someone else. We are normally outnumbered 3 to 1 on our own BL. Quite a few times I have seen outmanned in our own BL.

There is normally nothing we can do to stop DR from flipping our whole BL, pretty much whenever they want, and no one seems to care. I personally have not been to ioj BL yet this week, its simply too exhausting trying to keep up with our BL with the thin crew we have to work with. Our population of dedicated and competent WvW folks is so razor thin, we do what we can with what we got.
