As a NA player, I was rooting for TW to at least win some rounds. although it didn’t happen, I thought TW fought valiantly (/respect). Be that as it may, the response above speaks bluntly to the reality: EU GvG is more competitive than NA. And that probably will translate to the WvW battlefield.

in NA, most (all) GvG guilds are awful at WvW combat in the open field. that’s why they started GvGing.

RG is definitely good at both, and are one of the few that can actually claim this. the rest are just shameful.

Have they given thought to training other guilds, or would that go against their goals? I’d love to be in a training session with them.

HB WvWvW Highlights from Saturday June-22-2013
A night full of epic battles.

Once the night was over, HB had helped capped a T3 SM, helped save Blackgate garrison from TW / IRON, got to fight RG, and finally helped RK cap the 2 enemy Borderlands “Blackgate spawn” keeps that were both T3 and defended. The night ended with 3 hours of open field fights in Blackgate Borderlands. Here are some highlights. Thanks for all of the fights and special thanks to our allies on BG.

And one of them is a trivial sideshow. Even if we did equate GvG with open field WvW it still ignores everything else. WvW is about outscoring your opponent by controlling a map. I personally wouldn’t want to waste much time practicing what amounts to multi-group SPvP.

The best thing about this game is the freedom. Groups of players can setup how they would like to play it. Gvg all you want wvw all you want enjoy it and don’t complain about others playing the same game as you in a dif way.

Does it seem like a lot of the new Rallians are hesitant to hop on the server TS? Every time I’ve been in a map that tsym is on, it seems like its pretty much just tsym and a couple of other people in different guilds in the TS, but when I look at my game screen there are a ton of people who are notably absent…

JQ may lack in quantity but we make up for in player quality. JQ still has some of the best MMO vets in-game.
