Those were my first posts in this thread, so if you want to let the forum warriors discredit an entire server, that’s your choice. There is no step back for me to take, I have not been offended by anything in this thread. Sure it’s only a game, but the people we deal with are real whether it’s through a screen or in person. When a real person treats you like dirt and an NPC treats you like dirt, it’s not exactly the same thing.

Hellsing did what he did and if he’s turning over a new leaf, then good for him. But as you said, anything you say won’t change my opinion of him either, in my eyes, he’s a drama creating kittenbag that tries to tear a community apart. Let me just say that just because I’m from Ebay, doesn’t mean I’m a troll or a forum warrior. So if you were thinking of responding with “You’re from Egobay so you have no right to talk about being a kittenbag.” Then don’t bother, I haven’t been a kitten to anyone yet and 3-4 people don’t speak for thousands of others.

Words don’t mean anything here. (Which is why I almost never post.) In the end, we’re just going to play a game and do what we enjoy doing, kicking each others kitten . If feeding trolls on the forums is what you enjoy doing than go for it, but don’t point the finger at me and all the others who are just playing to have fun because you fed a few trolls.

If you look at the start of this thread, the people I’m assuming your referring to as the “forum warriors” from ebay are actually the only ones talking on ebay’s side. Which leads us to assume these people were speaking on behalf of your server, which is something I believe a few dragonbrand members posted about. But that being said I’m glad to see that not all ebay members are like this, and it is possible to have a civilised conversation without it resulting to childish name calling, and circle logic.

Now about Hellsing, I believe you have me figured wrong. You are entitled to your opinion, and I mine. Let’s leave it at that shall we?

I admit I may have fueled the trolls on this thread, and for that I apologise. I did get angry and you can see that in my first forum post on these forums back in page 4. That being said it seems the truer representative of the ebay server have showed up now, so I would like to ask why you didn’t step in earlier or deal with these “forum warriors” in private? I only ask because it was mentioned your a unified server now, so I would assume you would be able to persuade them into it.

I believe you have the wrong approach to the forums. Words can mean a lot, and evidently things can get VERY heated. But I’m going to reiterate, these forums are for constructive criticism, and all posts should be written and read accordingly.

There is no way you can permanently stop someone from doing what they want to do unless you’re a Dev/Moderator. I can simply talk to them and that’s it, whether they continue to troll or not is ultimately their choice. When I say unified, I’m talking about internal drama. We no longer fight amongst ourselves and we are all on friendly terms with each other, working together in a much more unified fashion instead of just doing stuff on our own because of the drama that was keeping us apart. Whether we’re unified outside of our server with other servers is a completely different story.

Trolls will be trolls and unless you have banning power, there is no true way to stop them should they decide to keep going. I have no interest in the qualm’s with other servers, so long as the people standing beside me on the battlefield are on friendly terms and we work together. I’m perfectly content.

Perhaps I did take what you said a little out of context, but I’m sure I got my point across.

I wouldn’t say there is ever a “True” representative of Ebay. We have trolls, we have friendlies, we have loners, and we have Lions Arch rats (People who just sit in LA and talk all day) just like every other server. Sure some servers have to be provoked in order for those people to show and some are far more active, but they are there.

The only reason I truly decided to post here to was show that Ebay isn’t as bad as you think. Our forum group might be extremely aggressive, but the forums will never ever speak for a whole server, just a tiny part of it.

Yeah. We had a guy on the other day yelling in map chat about how the commanders were getting people killed. It’s WvW, who cares about getting killed? If I don’t die a couple times an hour I’m not trying hard enough.

I really had fun last night using RTL + Updraft on an Ehmry Bay guild doing the stack tactic before flanking us. It was like bowling. I tried to see how many I could knock down before they insta-killed me.

On the plus side I ran out to Ehmry Bay’s cata about 10 times, did a little damage and then managed to get back into the keep. Didn’t really accomplish anything but I bet it annoyed them. Mist Form + stun breakers + Lightning Flash is a great combo.

If I want to take a camp, or have any other specific goal in mind for WvW that I can generally handle solo/with a partner, I will attempt it first.
If I get killed,
I’m not going to give up on my goal, that’s just stupid.
And I’m not going to just rush back in and get farmed for an hour, that’s more stupid.

So yeah, I’m gonna rally a few reinforcements.

No one mentioned a zerg? 5 SoS Members 4 DB and 7 Ebay, from my count anyways. Good fights either way.

I must say though specced to run and perma invis as a thief? Meh maybe some people like being specced to lose.

Well yeah,
The vast majority of my guild are PvErs, that’s why you don’t often see Duel posts in here.

If there’s even a 5 man Duel group running around, it’s already an unusual day in wvw.

If anyone is interested in some 2v2’s I’ll be online and available for the next hour.

I’ve missed too much this week to get a good grasp on EB. I’m not overly impressed but they put up a decent fight.

DB, is still governed by the “Conservation of Ninjitsu” as they were back the last time we met. I’ve never seen so many large groups of WvW’rs be so squeamish about open battles.

Yes, from a PPT point of view is probably is smarter to break your superior numbers up to take multiple targets as we retake a single target. However, who wants to win like that?

I can count the number of DB’rs last night, who stood and fought in open terrain, on one hand.

Oh well, everyone has been so happy to be away from TC that it’s all good.

I will say that DB has been much more gentlemanly (no insult to the ladies of your server) than others have claimed and have been good sports.
I won’t be upset if we get matched again.

EB, I don’t think we got a good chance to size each other up. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to mix it up without a T2 server looking over our shoulders.

This week I have encountered a few very fine groups. I have also met some fine roamers, including a couple of Guardians who easily fended off any tactics I tried, neither my thief or ranger could do much to them. I enjoyed the challenge!

Thanks for bringing the fun and a variety of playstyles to this weekly match.

Would be nice if we could make a date of it, but don’t think the current probability-based pairing system would allow it. I think you’d find us a lot more fun without the tier 2 elephant in the room, lol. Not sure about SBI though, last we heard they were looking forward to a reprieve. They’re in good hands with Borliss and Anvil. Good sturdy lot, those folk.

Yeah we know we’re spread really thin throughout SEA time. Our oceanic coverage is Godly, but our SEA/NA time isn’t all that good, so it’s only a few of us hardcore players on at SEA/NA time and a good amount of pugs.

I got nothing else to say on the matter. As stated I’d have not stepped up at all if he didn’t. Wasn’t even going to bring it up or I’d have done so sooner. Fact is, a tier 4 server gave a tier 2 that had been literally sitting on them all day a massive bloody nose this morning. Deny or jest about it all they like, it matters not.
