Yes, it seemed to start last week immediately following the patch. Someone from SBI started a thread in the Game Bugs the first time it happened to any of us. Have yet to glitch myself but I’ve usually only been on when we’re defending and not taking it.
And I posted a screenshot on the last page of several BP that had glitched through the door.

Solution – Fight and meet them outside the asset. Chances are that if an enemy is at your gates your not that far from losing the asset.

I honestly believe the people truly taking advantage of it are a very small minority (and not exclusive to one server) but since BP has been losing the recent match up, a few of their forum posters are using it as an excuse. Fortunately even that group of people is a minority and as we’ve seen there are BP players on here with common sense and good sportsmanship not looking for some excuse.

Yes ANET please perm ban ALL players that, due to a glitch that is on your game (or not sure, it might be a glitch created by SBI and exploited only by them), allows players to accidentally get into a tower. Please please please. It makes so much sense.

People on our side have been saying that we are unusually light. People have blamed it on: BURN not being there for reset (but they weren’t last week either), the 4th of July week (but that affects SBI too) and people being demoralized or wanting to throw the match.
Nobody is throwing the match. The less hard core may be demoralized by lack of instant win, I don’t know. The core of BP is trying really hard this week. I think the big difference is BP stirred up SBI and you folks have really gotten the numbers out this week. Usually hitting your BL is enough to draw pressure away from eternal, but so far you folks seem to be able to send sizable numbers to any map without leaving another map short handed. Good job rallying the troops.

From my perspective the score has shaped this way because:
- SBI had more numbers over the weekend than in previous weeks.
- BP population does seem to be down but just a little bit. It may be BURN leaving or some people taking some time off but it isn’t like we weren’t rolling with some relatively large numbers even with those considerations in the mix
- SBI fielded a couple of very good zergs on reset that was giving some of our best some trouble. The one on our BL was impressive and our server had to stop hitting them head on.
- NSP thus far remains mostly above the fray with BP and SBI going at each other. Multiple times I have gone over to EB to solo flip NSP camps and there were sitting fully upgraded often with ogres and hylek in them. NSP seems to be mostly defending their EB corner/BL and BP/SBI seem to be mostly OK with that.

The glitching through doors is indeed by accident and random, so no one could count on it happening to them with intent to use it to their advantage.
I had 2 guildies accidentally go through once, and they tried to get out of the tower. however, they were being attacked so they fought back, and we busted through the gate taking the tower anyway. It was totally random, they didn’t try to do it on purpose, and it happened months before this matchup.
On the subject of matchups, I’m glad our server (BP) has been humbled a bit. This has made for some good fights, and mostly constant action in our BL where I stay most of the time I have to play these days.

Not true, BURN and GOAT moved on the 28th and had a large presence at reset and through the week regardless of the vitriol and abuse some of them sustained for staying. (letting people die and the refusing to res them and calling them traitors are some of the things BP do to thier own, abuse in map chat and other instances were reported to me, non repping was allowed that week because of that issue).
Borlis lost about 75 hardcore WvW players from BURN and probably 30 from GOAT plus a few more semi hardcore players like myself. I am sorry to say but that cannot be replaced easily, especially as most of them were outside of US primetime and guarded the keeps and towers while most US timezone players slept or worked.
This warping through gates thing seems to have turned up about the same time as AoE looting. Haven’t found myself on the wrong side of a gate so far, but I have repeatedly seen “This wall is already fully repaired!” messages without pressing F.
Did wonder if it was a controller issue but I don’t have anything mapped to F on my mouse. Could be fatfingering on the keyboard, and I’ve only just started doing it in the last two weeks… but I doubt it.
I don’t know what happened to SBI’s numbers this week. Seem to have more people on during Australian time zone – that could be explained by exams wrapping up – but unless we were a major Australasian base like SoS etc., the effect of that should be relatively even.
We’ve played BP for three weeks now, though, so I don’t imagine a bunch of randoms are going to wait for the third week to finally join up in WvW. We have had a new guild join up, PfA, but my impression of their players so far is that most are quite new to the game – they’re not going to be turning the tide of a battle just yet.
SBI had a really good weekend for some reason. Looks like the weekday battlefield might be back to regular programming.
NSP does have this problem of glitching through the gate. Just yesterday when retaking our eb keep, I glitched through the inner gate that faces our spawn for no reason. 2 other NSP also got through with me at roughly the same time and we have no idea how we got through. We were pvding at that time so thr was no defenders to atk us and we juz stayed on the gate. I believe I have one ss of that somewhr

I stand corrected, I knew GOAT was still here at last reset but I thought that the lion’s share of BURN had actually left earlier than that.
I am sorry to hear that people mistreated some of the general BURN population in your last days. Your leadership handled the exit poorly in hindsight. Still, I think most people don’t have a bad opinion of BURN, especially the general membership.

Just wanted to say, the fight at SBI hills today was hilarious.
Not only did we hold outer for 1hour+ but lords room for about 25+ minutes with 15 people against 40 SBI, i must say, if i were the commander of that SBI zerg, i’d be badly ashamed of myself. Your first push cleared all our siege and npc’s in lords, but you whiped half the zerg, the second time we held you off with simple combat against those huge odds for another 20 minutes, all tho you did cap it at the end, i wouldn’t have been very happy with that performance..
However, so proud of the BP who were their and defended, was amazing.
We would have kept it if it weren’t for the zoom-hacking elementalists from SBI who cleared the tons of siege we had set up. I have screenshots but don’t see the point in posting them.
