Its great isn t it to have a full map zerg of serve X on one side then full map zerg of server Y on the other side and the third server in the middle and basically nothing happening…no skills, no heals no nothing. Even as far as spawn camps impossible to heal.

Awesome…that really requires skills both from the attackers and the defenders.

I’m waiting for BGs revenge on our dominance today really soon. Can’t wait for them to rush us hard in our weak timezone to plummet us to 0-50ppt. Some things are just easily predictable. Something exactly like last week will happen:)

Seems to me two servers got some serious pain in the lower backs and are the ones wanting revenge. If it hurts that much you should consult a specialist…or maybe add more fiber in your diet

I reckon it’s cause of MERC’s late start. MERC is BG’s main force. Without MERC, things are pretty much PvDoor for SoR. Same thing can be said for MERC when HIRE doesn’t show up. We have a couple of drunk NA playing too. That’s why.

I’m loving the differences between two of the MERC commanders.
One pulling every excuse he could possibly think of whilst the other doesn’t let it phase him and accepts the challenge.

why is there so much hate on thieves these days. i mean i dont see thieves here saying i love killing dolyaks or killing guardians, but if we kill people BOOM there is like a dozen thread in forums saying thieves are OP. oh well…

Good job from SoR overnight to get back into this match. Another good close match up ahead byt he looks of it. The job Merc do for BG is truly amazing. One of the strongest if not the strongest ppt guild out there atm.

Jq considering being outnumbered alot of the time also show great tenacity and fight to stay within striking distance of a win. With just a few more numbers in the eu and na prime times think you guys could push for a win.

After being in eu for so long it is really refreshing to have such well contested match ups week after week.

The only reason we are winning is because of the guilds doing over time and that will go away next month.

That is all we can bring to a fight so if we where to GvG we would be forsaken our duty as commanders for BG. HB have a few more, but not a lot more they are only a more hardcore wvw guild.

I think generally the best time to have GvGs is at the end of the week before reset when the score is pretty much settled.

I’m sure if the PPT gap is big enough between any server then it could be safe to do this.

The more guilds who get into GvGs in NA the better I think! Some people don’t like it but I believe it adds a dynamic of strategy into the game and improves WvW play as a whole. Makes you think more about class management in a way that is usually lost in the immensity of regular WvW.

MERC cannot do it alone , there are 4 maps and we can only be in 1 place at a time (except when we divide ourselves into 3 maps)

It’s because of guilds that fight every night like ND, WM and CA that MERC is allowed the freedom to roam in the BL’s, and then there are the PvX guilds like Thai, XF, Urge and NOC that sometimes play, and there are NA guilds such as Icoa who stay up all night and play into Oceanic with us every night, then there is HB and RK in EU , etc And there are new arrivals such as TKG

MERC only get around ~100 PPT when they are literally the only guild tagged up, it’s a credit to the Blackgate Oceanic/SEA and early EU communities that we are able to work so well for each other. And even though I don’t play with EU, EST and PST, I know they do a great job for Blackgate

This match up has been very tight in recent weeks, there have been amazing fights and turn arounds 24/7 around the clock. My only regret is that Jade Quarry don’t quite have the coverage to match both SoR and BG. I wish they had more guilds to turn tier 1 into a serious 3 way.

Shout out to guilds such as IRON, ATM and HIRE who always bring the pain with them every time they play. WvW would be boring if we didn’t fight tough opponents.

You may only contribute 100 ppt when MERC is on, but I think you tie up a lot of JQ and SoR in the process allowing your other guilds to do their work. So while you may only have a tangible 100 ppt, you likely contribute more in the 250 ppt range indirectly.

Waage is correct though, if we partake then it pulls one of the very few organised forces that we have during our prime time away from the fight that matters. We do have some members interested though so you might see an RK team but WvW is our focus and that’s what we build and train for

just a quick question – would people prefer to have all 3 servers able to have the exact same numbers, every single day, every single fights?

I guess I don’t see why that would be a problem. Thing about a lot of people in WvW though, they don’t want fights. I’ve said it before, most people seem to run from actual fights.

What most people in WvW seem to want is to run with a zerg large enough to induce skill-lag, swing at the air with 1-spam, then post about how their guild is “Best PvP Guild NA 2013”.

I love when people keep bringing this up for the guilds that lost to RG during those GvGs. So what does that make of the guilds that continuously get wiped day in and day out by these guilds that apparently are so bad? They are clearly worse by extension then, correct?

The funniest part: The Guilds who actually challenged RG, and lost, took the occasion to do further gameplay analysis and inward reflection. In the end making our teams stronger and even more unstoppable in WvW.

RG are the best gvg out there, they practice non stop for gvg and have been together for around 5 years. Only 2 guilds have ever taken even a round off them = VOTF and GH, so does it mean you are crap if they defeat you? Let me know how you guys get on if you ever get the chance to fight them.

So you deny IRON blobs? To be perfectly honest, I don’t remember seeing IRON in small groups so I would agree with waage on that. Though, I wouldn’t assume they aren’t just as good in smaller numbers.

again its cool if u dont wanna gvg its not for everyone. Just dont come to the forums and QQ about someone having more numbers then u, since u had ur shot at an even battle

Just a thought here on the whole RK vs IRON gvg. RG keeps saying they are needed as the organized force (which means defending against SoR’s). Keep in mind that RK is a small guild, meaning they cannot split push IRON, KISS, and the SoR militia in TS. One of these forces will be in EB squaring off against your pugs. The numbers will be relatively even there, meaning they can hold their ground.
I’m assuming all RK really does is face off against the other two forces not in EB. Now here is my idea. RK vs IRON in GvG. Do it. IRON will be busy GvGing you (not taking objectives). A lot of the SoR militia love this stuff and will watch, making that group more manageable by your own militia. You get a fair even fight AND keep whatever objectives in the BL you are in safe. Win-win.
