22:51 CEST and the battle is still in full speed at FSP Hills! I was commanding the SWD and GuM part of our zerg in this border for the most part and this was one of the best resets in months. Not many AC, not many siege at all just zerg vs zerg and guild vs guild all night long. kittening loved this, ty for the great fights, especially [PunK]. The battle for the lord’s room is about to start so gotta get back! GG!

Was really an awesome reset. Seems everyone is still asleep since we pretty much own most of all maps

Reset was fun but tough! The fights were epic and hard and FSP had quite a substantial group on UW , that did a nice job dominating the border. Even tho we had trouble capping, I still managed to get 450 of your souls tonight. Shoutout to FSV, kale and GoT yesterday on UW.

Underworld border was awesome, all fights were great, we lost some and you lost some =) it went back and forth but I reckon we had alot more players than UW but you guys have some real quality players so keep up the good fights

Yeah, about the kitten portal, its kinda hard to have less than 20 players survive aggainst at least 7 ac’s and 2 ballistas, being more than half superior.
Anyways… good defense on garri, took us quite some time to cap it, but we jsut ninja’d hills

Can’t say I feel bad about leading the night cap where we flipped your whole border and most of EB, since you had 40 people on ours at 3am We didn’t have less than you on home for reset, there was a Q for hours there, same goes for FSP border and probably EB, dunno about AS.

At around 5am, we were in garri Lord room and a guy says in /m that we need help in EB because you have 40 people on the map against our 10. Keep wp is contested so I port the zerg to spawn, casually walk to the keep just as you reach inner with I don’t know how many golems. We proceed to kitten our pants, then man the cannons and oil. When golems went down the gate was 10%, so we start repairing. I swear the gate had like 100 hp at some point, then more people put supplies in and we got it up, you had no other siege so we pushed you out. Most epic timing I’ve ever seen, you guys were so close! Glad we kept it tho, looks like this will be a very interesting matchup.

I guess I keep missing these epic fights… Al I see is AC spam on every server even ours but FSP seems to love too spam them even more. WvW would be so much better then this AC spamming and being able too shoot trough thick solid wood since that just makes sense… Make it really epic folks instead of cowering behind AC’s

We had a queu on UW BL during the reset. There were a lot AFK somehow on citadel, because everytime we fought u guys, we were not with more then 35. This ofcourse was weird because we had a queu and where would all those people be.

I am looking forward btw to the rest of this match up because we are going to do everything within our possibillities to win this time from FSP!

We could say the same,you used Ac’s in EB last night aswell…Honestly whats the point of these kind of posts ? And on the first day…Yes genius,people use Arrowcarts,get over it please.Stop generalizing because we All do it,yes including Your server.Now on to fun again….and less complaining.

Don’t blame the players, blame the game mechanics and high siege limit.
If you want epic fights, you won’t find them following blue icon but getting into WvW guild and roam.

I somehow doubt FSP likes open fights. Their main style is to get a tower, siege it up, bunker there and treb whatever is in the range even tho they have more ppl. No other server I fought bunkers as often as FSP. I personally dislike to fight this server. Still hope to get some nice fights at least with AS, they seems to be better and better with every new match.

Well I’m liking the matchup so far, placing a bunch of ACs is only normal and the attackers have to be a bit more resourceful to take that tower instead of just PvDing it.

The reset was great and I’m hoping for a lot more great fights this week. And try to keep the matchup topic clean, I much prefer it that way

No other server I fought bunkers and whines as often as UW. I personally dislike to fight this server. Im not sure if you played enough but seriously so far what ive seen none of the servers are hiding behind siege inside towers, so far i’ve seen our groups rush out to UW and FSP rushing out to UW since we had a very boring matchup with not many fights…

and to be honest FSP is quite bad at building siege at towers hence why we lost so many towers to 5-10 ppl

I played enough vs FS. Let’s jsut count how many times in the week will you bunker in briar and treb bay from there. How many times will you build 5 catas or trebs and tons of arrow carts to protect them, and hit the inner walls. How many times will you treb gari from Longview or Cragtop if you manage to get the towers. How many times will you treb from SM the towers around. The facts are clear if you like it or not. You bunker always when you have the oportunity. You go the easy way, it’s a tactic and I am fine with that, I won’t cry cause of that. Only I am saying is that I don’t like your style and probably won’t enjoy the match.

So you are whining in advance, based on what you predict FSP will do. A prediction based on previous matchups the last of which was months ago, irrelevant of what is happening in this matchup and your server mates are posting. You should probably take a week off alright, and maybe a week off this thread

Don’t hear me complaining about those 5 acs you had in garrison, its a smart move if enemy has a large numbers and very understandable, also understandable to be trebbing from a tower when u dont have the numbers either…

AND FYI, we had a team INSIDE lord just when walls went down, they went in from NW gate and got inside before walls even got down….

Sorry for the question but you say 5acs its a smart move if enemy have large numbers, but last night i see something like 3\1 FSP on UW garrison, and even whit that you have build 7ac 1 treb and 2 balistas.

So my question is if you have larger numbers than us, and even whit that you make all that siege, where is the smart move????

It’s only Miyu. Check his post history. He has serious love for FSP and needs to express it whenever he meets us.

I’m confused – what does trebbing have to do with bunkering? If anything it prevents the other server from bunkering behind their walls! Or do you think you have a god-given right to your precious walls?

I remember our defense of Fort Ranik’s (paper) Bay for 6+ hours at primetime against 15+ enemy attempts with significantly greater numbers before the AC boost. By the end every single inner wall and gate was down. And yet our (pre-patch/non-superior) ACs combined with excellent use of chokepoints killed them every time.

Walls are just decoration. If you can’t win without your walls, you don’t deserve to win anyway. I would always like there to be even more open field fights, but that’s a completely separate issue. We want more people leave their walls to fight in the open field but that doesn’t mean the keep fights should involve nothing but zergs auto-attacking the gate while defenders hit them with random AoEs.

If you don’t like keep offense/defense, then stay in the open field. If you don’t like open field fights, then stay close to keeps. The only problem is when some servers in the match-up have completely opposite preferences (e.g. Riverside bunkering vs Gandara open field) and nobody has any fun, but I think everyone in this match-up likes open field without necessarily hating keep fights, so it should be a good week!

YOU dare to call us bunkers while YOUR server bunkers with 40+ AND ac’s in your front tower. You complain about us not wanting to fight into Open Field, but when we just engaged a LARGER guild grp, then ran back inside the tower until reinforcments came back from Vale. Look at your own server first before you start complaining please, cause I see UW doing the same stuff you complain about. Or are you guys just goin to bunker up on Home border all week?

Did I just read QQ about making sieges and trebs to get towers/keep?
They called it tactical in the old days.. Seems everything needs to get PvD’ed these days..

Don’t worry UW, we won’t judge your whole server based on one forum poster.

Had some good fights with both servers this weekend, look forward to more in the week.
