No doubt, people aren’t going to take this move lightly considering you moved at the most crucial time to one of the biggest threats Blackgate has. Not only that but this move has been planned for a long time and kept in the dark. Theres members of MERC that had no idea this was going down. If you’re surprised that people aren’t happy then I don’t know what to say… Countless times over and over again each week was a new excuse as to why MERC would possibly be jumping ship. It went from our SEA is dying to you’re tired of PvDooring and back to Our SEA is dying. Blackgate has worked extremely hard to help you out. All our timezones has supported you to the fullest. Each and everytime something went wrong the amount of QQ from you guys was very dramatic. You’ve managed to kitten of a lot of people and decapitate a server for your own needs. No reason you give will be good enough at this point. Bridges are indeed burnt and Blackgate will live and move on. We aren’t done and see you on the battlefield Tarkus. I’m sorry if this message offended anyone I’m just speaking the truth. Lastly, You can respond but I’m not posting and further. This didn’t have to be taken to these forums.

If anything speaks of poor character it is this. Leaving his guild in the dark to further his personal goals, Siegfried you are going to need to come and tell me some more heroic tales of Mountain Dew and late night floating to help this one slip under the rug as well!

People aren’t angry because you left Blackgate. They are shocked that you would leave to a direct rival server without a legitimate reason. Nobody had harsh words when any other guilds left, because they left for honest and understandable reasons. If you all had decided to move to a server like TC, then surely the reaction from everyone would be far different.

Normally I can understand guilds transfering to fit more with a larger timezone and such but this is pretty clear bandwaggoning… No respect from me, sir.

Just for the record BG you have a history of going feral on guilds that decide to move but stay within T1. Leave them alone and move on – guilds come and go all the time, after all its just a game and everyone has different goals and motivations to play.

Some of you need to step away and remind yourselves of that and stop with the personal attacks.

I had a LOT of respect for how they held out on a regular basis with little back up. I lost all of it when they left to a T1 server, of all places.

Maybe they got tired of all that holding out. There’s also no other mandarin-speaking wvw community on TC during the times they played, something JQ does offer.

There’s always two sides to the story. It sucks to see them go, but I won’t go as far as saying they don’t deserve respect.

It probably wasn’t the greatest idea to transfer, be in WvW on your new server and in BG TS. Just saying. If you wanted to say your goodbyes and talk to people, you could have done it before transferring. Anyways … what’s done is done.

Well, I personally always enjoyed following your command when I was able Tark, and I wish you guys well. I’m not happy about your decision of course, and have a hard time truly grasping the reasons behind it, but it’s not my business anyways. It wouldn’t be fair to not thank you, Ralikh and others who put in work in WvW all year. All the best in the future.

Thank you for changing your post. Just to clarify why I banned you from TS was that people told me you were poaching BG NA guilds and trying to get them to move to JQ as well. That upset me and when I confronted you, your answer made me think you did. (See Pic)

When i was in my servers hardcore raiding scene in WoW i had a guild leader do something similar. Over the span of a tier, from it’s launch and our progression through it, she selected specific class leaders and officers to favor and to lift up. She kept some in the know and everyone else in the dark and began to broker a deal. Right as we were beginning the climax of our inter-server competition she sold our guild out to our competition to buy herself a leadership role in a rival guild and to guarantee slots for her chosen few.

This is the worst form of exploitation. This is not an act of self-preservation. Using your own guild as a stepping-stool is betrayal and inexcusable; it shows you to hold no character traits of value. To those who engage in this i pity them for they lack the sense of comradery that has made my online gaming experiences so grand.

I will say though i don’t know enough about the MERC situation to accuse anyone of acting in line with the above anecdote; i just wanted to share a previous experience and to state my opinions on such actions in general.
