its not any guilds/servers fault for that dumb tower for being glitched, you try to hit with golems, rams and even sometimes catas on walls and you’ll get invulnerable almost everytime, if anyone is to blame its Anet for never fixing that tower in Green land.

I might dislike being quite so blunt, but I would have to echo this sentiment. I don’t feel my guild or any other guild can have any kind of credibility if they don’t feel that pretty fundamental parts of the game’s ToS are worth upholding as part of their own rules. Any member of my guild who took advantage (bearing in mind that there’s a huge difference between the countless numbers of people in WvW who’ve accidentally found themselves inside there thanks to that bug and who’ve merely ran up the stairs and jumped back over the wall and the minority who take the opportunity to attack the defenders and their siege) of that kind of glitch would either cease and desist or cease being a member. It’s genuinely that simple and I feel that anything less is an unacceptably low standard.

I am pretty certain that the point has been made and that commanders from all servers might now consider action such as moving away from a tower that has possible exploiters in it. ( not as easily done as said )

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it is very difficult to get all cat herding decisions 100% correct on the fly.

It may be best to let this lie now and move on. Hopefully all servers have learned something about dealing with these “individuals” in the future.

Also who is ready for the surprise this Friday? Will you be green/blue/red? Will you queue for home border or enemy border? Will you be playing against T3 opponents or T4? No one knows…. From the creators of Mystic Toilet comes the new matchmaking system.

Back to it, the action this weekend has been great! Tons of action across the BLs, and the SoS NA presence seems to have gone up. At one point I was responsible for getting a bunch of our golems killed, and I woke up this morning to find naked pictures of my character on the internet.

In other news: I’m completely out of whiskey.

Great open field fights all around in SoS borderland. Hours of fun roaming around – Loved meeting a lot of the other commanders from CD and some of the militia

You guys are great – going to take some adjusting getting used to working with people who know what they’re doing

CD only fights when we outnumber the enemy? You should’ve seen CDBL bay keep at around 4-5am server time. We definitely did not fight with number superiority. As for hitting hitting keeps, contesting keeps is a legit tactic and I don’t know why you wouldn’t do it.

Also, there’s no such thing as food that stuns you, you probably just got hit by basilisk venom.

It immobilized me and had the animation of the tree branches from Oakhearts. There was no Oakheart or any other mob near us. And I find contesting keeps weak.

And I think contesting keeps is smart, not weak. Purposely putting yourself at a disadvantage is just stupid.

Contesting keeps is all part of “fog of war” it’s legit so get used to it.

You should probably do some research before throwing “abusing” accusations and then following it up with insults. Some thieves, myself included, have racial abilities that we use to keep you from running from us. Look into it.

Both Zergs saw each other, stopped and applied blast finishers and charged in. We veiled twice and pretty much rolled over the SoS party. Many other battles around the map with both CD and SoS. I actually saw this fight as a CD spectator from the bridge. It went exactly as described. My havoc trio did manage to entice a few stragglers away from both zergs at different times, but for the most part, both zergs moved like one tight blob of goo from one point to another.

As part of SoS, I was on the map for that, but don’t believe I was part of that zerg. You guys were definitely on top of things. We were trying to react but you were already two steps ahead. Although we had some good fights and good defense, I applaud you.

I’m not making excuses, but in all fairness around 9-10eastern time our TS3 server went down and we were left without voice communication. It was very frustrating. Yesterday or the day before we were hitting CD hard, and all SoS got booted from the map and couldn’t rejoin, so we went to SBI. Somebody in CD is very very good at hacking. I kid, I kid.

Funny you should mention that because I’m pretty sure it wasn’t CD messing with your TS as we had similar problems this weekend with an apparent DDoS attempt on our TS server.

@SBI, the matchup would be a lot closer if we could push SoS but for some reason we can’t sync up an attack.
I know Durios/Bravost are some of the easiest towers to take in the game, but RESIST!

@SoS, we don’t fight only as outnumbered, case in point CD keep in EB yesterday. Took over 4 hours of attacking from you guys to finally take it with a huge force.

I’m having fun, people can say whatever they want about stale matchups etc, but the fact is this may be the most even fight we can have at the moment. The chances of that hapening after the reset will nearly disappear, so enjoy it while you can.

P.S. bring it, I’m on track for my 30kills per 1death ratio this week. I welcome tries to ruin that.

I have to withdraw my comment about KWBH’s discipline, as they had a great performance yesterday in WvW. All due respect to NAGA (before they left) and LOM, that was the best showing by any single CD guild I’ve seen since we came to T4.

Keep bringing those kind of fights!

You seem to complain about Crystal Desert, the server that is losing to yours by a pretty large (roughly 30%?) margin often.

I’m elated that changes to our match ups are rapidly approaching. Hitting a wall to raise swords or contest a waypoint is just as viable of a strategy as leaving a corpse behind as a spy, or flipping NPC camps to send monsters at an enemy’s camp or keep. An entire zerg doesn’t need to run to a location in order to scout the situation – that’s a choice. A single person can see and report if there’s an actual threat.

It’s not as if the players you’ve complained about are utilizing hacks or exploits to make the game more difficult – they’re utilizing the tools at hand to manipulate their opponents’ actions and apparently yield predictable responses.

Additionally, you jumped to a conclusion about a player exploiting runes or NPC attacks when it turned out to merely be a racial ability. Although you conceded that you’d made a mistake on the matter, it only goes to show that you may not know as much about the game as you might think.

That all said, Seer armor is pretty cool looking. :P

I agree 100% especially for SOS as we do have a couple of negative Nancy’s. that tend to paint an unrealistically grim picture of our situation.

EBG was bugged out hard tonight. I didn’t venture there myself, but I heard only golems could be built. Saw a thread in the forums about this earlier. I can’t speak for SBI, but CD also experienced it.

Can only build golems? Simple, counter golems with golems!

Seriously though, it wouldn’t be so bad if all sides experienced it equally on a map, but it seems like where we can’t build siege, y’all are perfectly able to and I guess it’s probably happening vice versa too.

The problem everyone is having with siege is that the siege cap is now map wide instead of being in a small area.

Still fun doing all that pvdoor tonight in EB. It made seeing a golem walk up to a tower door an epic moment that everyone cheered for.

Being siege capped made for some pretty epic open field battles last night in EB. 3-ways were had as SBI had a que for the first time that I can remember in over a week. Seems the chest rewards and small potential for rares/exotic/precursors has brought those pver’s back into wvw. Pretty sure we pvdoored, no siege to put down, almost every SoS tower, while taking SM and saving our Garrison twice against SoS golem rushes. Hope both CD and SoS enjoyed the show.

We were running around making mischief as part of a large swarmy group in SoS Borderlands before the call came in to port back to CD Borderlands.

Well, the folks in [Fool] had to call it a night soon, so we stayed on SoS Borderlands for the last 30 minutes. Taking anything other than the occasional straggler or supply camp was out of the question. (We know. We tried. People got frumpy and kept shooting at us)

Eventually the last three of us still awake used some Fluffy Griffon transforms and started hopping around the borderlands, trying to entertain the enemy.

Enemy 1 was not amused. He looked afk, then darted, then started pummeling us.

Enemy 2 was a zerg-like swarm heading east. We ran amongst and along-side them for about 20 seconds before they stopped, turned and unleashed the bloodshed.

Enemy 3 was a SoS Colonel who started leaping around joyfully with us in a circle. until more SoS people turned up and murderized us. He cried and planted a banner on my corpse though, so that was nice.

Ahh CD, every time this match we go to attack a different BL; we get frantic calls saying you are attacking Bay…again.

Yes, it was kinda a jerk move to take your keeps on SBI BL while you were defending garrison; but it was worth it to cap the lord right as the SBI ultra-zerg entered the inner keep.

Also, something for us and SBI to note. When the East Coast logs off, CD gets REALLY paranoid on their BL. You so much as tap a supply camp, the largest zergs they have lose their minds!

In short, it was a great night in WvW for all 3 servers (at one point or another).

Gonna make the same offer that I usually make every thread around this time of the week:

[FEAR] and [TKVA] will be roaming/causing havoc tonight in one of the borderlands. We enjoy a good fight, so if you have a skilled group of around 5 – 7 folks and would like a challenge more than PvDoor, then send me a whisper and I’ll tell you which BL we’re in and how many are with me. We don’t do pre-arranged fights, and we don’t discuss classes (only that by now you should know I’m the thief with a Mohawk); but I would request the name of your guild so we know for whom to look while we roam. Find us, or we’ll find you, and the fight begins with spikes for the losers!

P.S. Thanks to [Top] for playing with us a couple times, we enjoyed it immensely.
