Don’t worry… it’s not your internet. It’s simply the servers trying to process the massive influx of new precursors and ascended gear from all those Season 1 reward chests that just got handed out.
So my guild is running around causing mayhem in ET BL we just took NE tower go to run off the cliff and misjudge how far drop it is and it kills most of our zerg. About 10 seconds later 40 ET fall down on top of us ALSO dieing creating massive pile of dead allies and enemys meanwhile a small GoM zerg just sits watching it all happening laughing away.

Not saying that it was intentional, but it did happen. GoM spent so much time trying to fight AR’s new teams that they didn’t have time to respond to the secondary threat.

AR spent their time tearing GoM down from first to get the spot themselves. DR decided to keep GoM down in order to climb up to second. Wasn’t enough time to push for first so I’m assuming we went about keeping second place secure by bullying your border while your morale was low.
We’ll just have to see how this matchup plays out.

OK lets fix the tunnel vision. I was commanding the AKD 40 man zerg that chased you off the cliff. We had two people follow you off. The 38 left broke north and found a safer way down. As we rounded the corner we found a mess of dead DR with only about 10 living trying to res their fallen comrades. So we assisted the survivors in joining their fellow server mates. It was funny as hell and wish I was running my live feed.
Usually I go to the Eternal Battlegrounds when I play because it has the highest amount of bad players in it. But I have found that when fighting ET and GoM, it doesn’t really matter.

Haha yeah, and after we downed you i just had to made sure nobody would kill the skelk close by, since i’m sure u’d have hit him for a ninja rally :P Good stuff.
I’ll look forward for you guys as well, our usually roster involves a warrior that we lacked today for zerg controlling but we still had fun.
annnnddd…. GoM… I know you like your SM but.. doing this for 20 minutes without any thief nearby is a little silly. But then again, dedication is dedication ;p

So… OP guild of DR, when u jump on corpses in a 1v7 or so (which started the whole thing) when you throw seige on my guildies (some uplvls for that matter), and spam emote against a group that’s half your size… REALLY makes you look bad, considering you guys aren’t that good individually.
And considering I got a 1v1 request rejected from their Silver Solder meta warrior commander that was the main culprit (Btw, at lowlands camp you threw blueprints at my feet prematurely when I got downed and rezzed. Ty for the blueprints while I was still stealthed =3), please make yourselves look more like fools

We don’t care if ET places 2nd, we don’t care if ET places 1st “as long as they don’t do what DR did”. We just want to make sure that DR places last and not even be close.

Sorry, that 1st screenshot was taken around when I first zoned into DR’s BLs after hearing about the behavior of that particular group, but the screenshot was moreso to point out the siege placing when I first saw what was going on myself. By then my guildies were pretty riled up so we kinda responded in kind. Since they were in my party, I mainly only saw our side of the emote wars until I got close enough.

I’m actually inclined to agree here as we only have ourselves to blame for that loss… Seeing since around Tuesday ppl already had defeatist attitudes, we can only do some self reflection of how ourselves and how we can move on past it. It reminds me a lot of our 3rd week matchup with FC and DH with what happened here; we simply gave up where it most mattered: Defense.
Im not upset about what DR did at all. kitten t out a stratagem that included not attacking DR. That left both DR and AR borderlands fully upgraded and ours paper.
We did not counter the strategy, thus lost.
End of story.
Turning either or both other borderlands paper would have countered the strategy. It just would have taken a bit of teamwork and a bit less crying.
OHHH AR beat us for a day whaaaa. It was truly sad. Continuing it into another week is horrid behavior on our parts.

an adjustment to my last statement… some members of GoM are certainly behaving without any class, the majority are still good people.
Yep, it’s definitely not fair to categorize a whole server, as you know… but, in your defense, I’ve certainly observed some less-than-genteel members on GoM too. Thanks for your reconsideration

I had only been up about 30 mins when I wrote the first post… no caffeine yet :p .
I think GoM’s main problems are that people don’t pay attention and general infighting. I don’t know if there’s any infighting, but both DR and ET seem to be more organized than GoM at times.
I had a good fight with a BS elle last night on the road to south camp. I want to tip my hat to the bs crew and et players that let us duel it out. Thank you all.

We don’t actually have any infighting. We’re a lovable people who loving about their server and we want it to be fun and healthy place for all our fellow server mates.
What I would say is we don’t have any organized WvW dedicated guild that fields more than 10 people. Most of our population is bring whatever build you want and follow the commander. No matter how far you go back this year, even when we had a lot of people, big guilds that know what they’re doing like Os could always flip our borderland while we’ve always struggled to do the same to other servers. On top of that much of our population is the PvE guilds that only showed up with the leagues and WvW for them isn’t a priority (and that’s still cool, I’m not looking to change anyone).
From people who have come from other places, I’ve heard that our pugs are exceptionally stubborn though so that’s also part of our charm, hehe. Too often I see people tunnel vision and they get flanked and wiped, baited and then rolled over, AoE’ed on walls, suicide rushing when they shouldn’t. We’ll start a defence against 20 people with 15 people and by the time the gate is down, there will only be 5 inside. We have too few commanders and many of the new ones are inexperienced but I’d say that commanding on this server is pretty tough too!
I love the server and the people on it and I think that means being frank sometimes. If you want to hear that we easily wipe 2-3 times our numbers and that everyone we fight has no skill, you can look for other posts.
Gate of Madness is famous for its widespread tolerance. Lowbies, newbies, kooky builds, loners, skritt, all have their place here.
With Wintersday starting tomorrow, I predict the skritt migration to be the stuff of legend, for all three of our servers. So, how can we celebrate in WvW and keep it fun?

I’m both ashamed and disappointed. When a 3 man ET group takes GoM Hills, I call it a good play by ET. But when we call for help from EB to defend our Hills against that 3-man group and the response we get is “We don’t care about our BL, Stonemist is more important.” It goes to show that there is discontent in GoM. I think I can safely say that the majority of the WvW guilds in GoM are on the same page that our BL is the #1 priority and nothing else. That doesn’t mean that all of them are on the same page. But ALL of our WvW guilds only make up a small portion of the competition you see running around in WvW, the rest are pugz from other small guilds or players from the large PvE guilds in GoM.
