As said before we had 1 commander on the map and 1 last objective on the map ? What do you expect ? And IMO they outnumbered us + the 569 arrow carts and ballistas on the walls.
Has it ever occured to anyone that Anet actually made this matchup on purpose to try to lure Riverside out of their keeps and have some fun with the rest of us?
I mean its pretty obvious. If you want to lure someone out, you need easy bait.
Maybe both Piken and Gunnar should just take off all armour and /dance naked in front of Riverside keeps to play like Anet intended us to play?
contrary to popular belief in my experience Rs does come outside there keeps they just need to outnumber you 10 to 1
Tonight was great, thanks to everyone we fought, we’ll see you tomorrow at the same time. The numbers we’re seeing are crazy but i imagine RS and PS are used to it. Anyway, here’s some pictures of us running away from you tonight.

But then close to midnight when most had gone for the night a 50+ zerg attacked cragtop and put down offensive siege when the wall just came down and the keep is defended by half a dozen people.

It might seem strange, but i’m having a blast in this matchup.
First the golem rush this morning, and then taking down the inner gate of sm while being outmanned (Piken helped us a bit here, distracting Riverside :p). Being outnumbered is not the end of the world, if we can defend our towers with sieges.

I really do wonder how RS found it when the siege bug was current.. :p Anyway, some really nice fights this evening both on BLs and on EB. It is really great to see that despite the odds, Gunnar’s is really pulling together and doing really well!

In the other silly match up (gandara v fsp v arborstone) arborstone seem to be having a great time too weirdly enough. They visited us in LA today and were in pretty good spirits. Apparently they’re having great fun lol

Why do you think every server dislikes RS so much, they very rarely bring any enjoyment to a matchup. They’re just the same as Elona and Viz except with a slightly smaller population. They could actually be a top server if they used tactics and skill rather than number advantage.

Probably seen the biggest low blow in WvW tonight. 15 GH defending hills lords room against 40ish RS. We started receiving arrow cart fire all over the inside of the room destroying our defensive siege very fast. Then all the fire was directed into the centre. Honestly ive had a lot of fun tonight but its moments like this that make your server look like kittens. We are so outmatched its unreal, you dont need to exploit as well.
Zoom hacking on arrow carts seems to be standard practice for Riverside. The sad thing is that often it isn’t even needed. I tried to defend an un-upgraded durios tonight, with seven men against 30 plus, 3 catapults and an arrow cart. This alone was bad odds, but the arrow cart could hit every single part of durios and it swept clear all the siege in the courtyard with exact targeted circles and then made it so we couldn’t stand anywhere in the tower but the lords room. It simply swept away anything that was present.
A total joke considering we had no chance against either the numbers or the 3 superior catapults. Cheating was apparently needed as well?
That’s just disgusting.
Do none of the non cheaters on riverside realise something is odd when you get into a tower and find it totally empty of siege when you knew that there was some catapult or other inside?
When you see an arrow cart go up on attack, take a good look at the one firing it because this is happening enough to know that it is likely the same people who get picked to man the arrow carts or who put them down.
Its one thing for a grown man to fight a child, but its another when he feels the need to carry a gun just to make sure he will win.
Had some nice duels at the Piken Spawn in RSBL this morning, thanks to those i fought and thanks to those who let us fight without getting involved, it was much appreciated. Sorry to the Charr warrior from HoB who i was picking on with Magnet i was bored and you were big and easy to spot (even if you did change your armour colour) – thanks for the adventure box of fun

We are a victim just as much as GH for being forced to face the stupid RS blobs yet again. You will hear very few of us complaining about GH’s style of play or spirit, we know what it’s like for you guys(some of us were on Piken before we could even fill 2 maps with queues back in T8). We have a lot of respect for GH for fighting in this matchup.
Just a fyi Piken has never had good offpeak coverage, our nightshift/morningshift midnight-midday is pretty much always outmanned wherever we go. We learnt to deal with it and made it one of our stronger points, every server beats us on night time numbers which is around 15-20 on a good night(weekends vary obviously).
That screenie is EB and yeah tbh thats a different beast, Piken like most servers tend to blob more in EB due to lack of guilds and more friendlies in there, with usually only 1 commander to lead/direct. I wish it wasn’t so but we always try to keep seperated if we can, the problem is the way the map is(it’s not kitten anet it’s 3 seperate words, stop censoring free speech!!) setup compared to the borders.

Please understand that the ‘cheat’ is nothing more than adjusting your field-of-view to widescreen format. ( options|graphics|windowed mode).
Personally, I don’t do it because I can’t be kittened to use arrowcarts myself. But it’s just a l2p issue.
I play in widescreen/windowed mode and i cannot see over keep and tower walls. Yes if you place an ac by the door you can aim through the gap, but RS can place an ac right against the wall yet still hit everywhere inside. Thats not l2p thats definately using 3rd party programs that makes you have the viewed out ability that Anet inlcuded for certain PvE instances(the reason it’s cheating is because it’s not inteded to be used in WvW). Anet have said they’re investigating the use of it so i’m hoping a swift ban comes for you guys that feel the need to cheat.

Well, if that’s the case then fine, a ban is a good idea, personally I’d like to see arrowcarts removed entirely. (Or at least some sort of decent counter).
But I stand by the statement that it’s possible, if you pick your spot carefully. For example, between the two sections of the south-west tower, the land rises there and gives you an excellent view inside the courtyard.
Again a Guy with no Siege Experience telling me, that what we did is not possible and in conclusion of that we cheakittens
kinda funny how you know nothing about sieges, but run not even ask yourself it it would be possible in a normal way.
If you never heard of strg + shift + h or that you can freely move the camera to look inside things, than you have not completed the game right now and should start enjoying the fact that you can learn something from us.

I have to give a lot of credit to some Riverside players – in Gunnars BL you did have some roamers and they fought very well, especially two of you at Astralhome near midnight. Nice to see /salute.
Shame about the AC abuse in our Hills, especially when already outnumbering us by a lot. It’s clearly not intended by Anet, but seems some people will keep using it until it gets fixed or they get banned.

On cheating topic: why don’t you just make a movie showing how you target inside? It should make everything clear and stop this never-ending topic. I also don’t think you will reveal some great, secret strategies by showing it If you refuse to show it, ppl are free to accuse you of cheating, because you do something others can’t do.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a server taking advantage of their numbers or applying field tactics such as landing siege machines in the open: WvWvW being the simulation of a war, that’s perfectly acceptable.
What has to be done is from developers side: they should give everyone the chance to overcome odds of any kind (for example: outmanned by forces 200% greater than you? okay then you get 200% more HP, protection, swiftness, attack and crit ratio)
at the moment, developers choosed a system which only rewards numbers and coverage so those who lacks any of these two are cut out of the scene right away and there is really nothing that can be done.
We can only hope that someday a light will shine in developers minds that will inspire them to the point they will finally let everyone play as they want to play (zerging, roaming, soloing, sieging ecc) in a fair and balanced way.
This said, I am learning much from both RS and PS for what concerns overall map strategies and field tactics, and I hope you guys are enjoying our small-scales combat expertise

LoL GoW ran 8players yesterday, not once did we fill 2fg but u call that Blob then u gonna be suprised when we hit you with 20+ Tonight, plz DTK come to BLUE Bl again tonight, you were so yummy. I gotta say I feel sorry for GH having to fight RS, most boring server to fight against after AM. I feel extra sorry for the FURY members that transferred down in tiers to especially get away from the boring playstyle of RS and AM. I know exactly how you guys have it now on GH as I used to be on AG before, and were stuck with RS like 8 out of the last 10 matches…
