This is how you play it. Make it fun for all.

P and R, don’t grind GH into the dust. Don’t zerg them down. If you all have people on your servers that like to do small group (like so many posters say), just have the small groups go over to GH areas.

This could be the start of something great – smart play to produce the most fun.

It’s a shame we don’t have our alliance with Vabbi from the last reset (vs MS vs DL). That would really show you what for!

That’s what happens when people complain about “boring, stale matchups”. Every time the ratings do their work and find balance, it has to be wrecked. Last time was free transfers, now it’s random roflstomping of lower tiers.

We did get a (very brief) match against MS and DL during the whole WvW kerfuffle. I do wonder if the current matches were re-calculated from the results of that rather than falling back on the pre-determined list posted.

It looks to me like they’ve screwed up – used the raw data of the first random matchup to generate a new one. It was made clear by Jon Peters we wouldn’t get matchups of more than a one or two tiers difference, not 4 tiers :s

I’d like to say I’m a true fighter, but logging in to move about 2 feet and then die over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and [several hundred overs deleted for space] again without earning any WXP, capturing any objectives or getting any coin for repair makes me a sad panda.

Also I’m pretty sure that historically, even the mutant hybrid of Genghis Khan, Achilles and Sue the T-Rex from the Chicago Field Museum could not keep fighting after he/she/it died. So. Yeah.

I’ll give it a go if there’s actually anything to do, but I’m not just going to stand there and be a free lootbag all week when there are other non-insane things I could do with my time.

Well so far this matchup has felt like Piken vs Riverside vs Riverside Arrowcarts.

The new build is on our side, saved Piken Bay from being lost to Piken in no time :p

Seriously, why does Riverside avoid player vs player combat so much? It was bizarre seeing them run every time. Finally caught some of them in open and server shuts down.
