Thank you mods it was about time

Wow yeah thank you mods that was a horible comment, i am all for reading disagreements and such but its all part of the fun, that was just wrong!

The first matchup I had when I transferred over to Piken back in May I think, was when Piken was ranked in the teens and we were faced up with Jade Sea and Augury. I had never seen blobs that big before, I was shocked. Endless streams of angry red guys all over, everywhere I looked. Unbelievable to me really. But it was fun and exciting because everywhere I went there were players to fight. And a new challenge to overcome.

I’m not being pollyanna or trying to sell something that’s not right. I’m just saying I understand the “oh wow look at how many” factor you guys are seeing out there.

The following week, now ranked 9th I think, Piken was thrown into Tier 1 with Elona and SFR. The nightcapping was depressing. Four golems from SFR one night when we had maybe 10 inside Overlook keep defending. Bit of overkill.

The point is, I get it. It’s frustrating to try to combat overwhelming numbers when you just don’t have the bodies on the map. But the key here is that we’ve all been there, in one way or another. It’s just Piken’s turn I guess to have the coverage.

The one thing I do like about EU matches is that any server within 1-10 ranking (and even below) can put out a decent fight with reasonably matched numbers in EU prime time. That’s what I clung to when we were getting nightcapped over and over and over again in past months. In NA, if there is a significant population difference in a match, a lot of servers would simply sit out the week (and say so blatantly on the forums), and just not come out to play. I’m so glad that doesn’t happen in EU. Every server seems to give as good as it gets. Something to be proud of.

Spying in TS is something were aware of. TS will be totally reset today and anyone not verified will not be able to enter. Simple as that. GH and AM were always going to moan. Yes we have numbers, but even when we don’t we still school them. Example being today at Vale and at GH garrison. You have 20 ish more than us however we just employ better tactics and better builds than you. In fact, 30% of us today were on alts and low levels.

Blob this and blob that. Jealousy gets you nowhere.

Sorry it’s taken my so long to reply, I had to decipher what you were trying to say. Guilds raid prime time. However the game is 24/7 gameplay. People will group up in the mornings because it brings coherence. Yet today there were bigger numbers than us easily. We even split our forces in GH and AM this morning into three forces. I have ten people on me, another group was 8. The main force was around 15.

People can sit and cry in forum threads as much as you like. You see blobs. I see 2/3 guilds with separate tactics and goals going to the same objective. We’re not in the same TS channel. We do things deprecate, but the maps aren’t big enough to totally spread out. This is fact, get over it. If you want nice and small numbered, concise fights. Go to spvp. This place obviously isn’t for you. Blobs happen. Just because you don’t have numbers to form a sizeable force, don’t get kittenty with the people who Can and on occasion do.

However, I will say that this match up was totally boring for all of us. You guys had have it tough because we could smell 2nd place and all we needed was PPT. So we focused on that this match up because we could. It was a common goal shared by the server. I apologise and I genuinely feel sorry for you guys because that means we will flip everything where as usually we do look for fights rather than PPT, We’re usually a lot more fun.

I didn’t wanna say it but to me it was obvious what you guys were doing since 2-3 hours after reset.
I have never seen such a points hungry server though and it seemed weird as you were facing 2 opponents much lower than you.
Don’t feel bad though and no need to apologise as you guys can play the way you want and what suits you best.
As i said i am PPT player myself.
No hard feelings at least from my part:)

Just checked the thread 15 min ago and the post mentioned was not there ….now i would really like to know what was written … because normally the mods are never THAT fast.

and some ppl say the skill comes from t1 , i never was so wrong

As a Gunnar’s Hold roamer (operating in 2-5 team), I liked this matchup.

Sure, we were steamrolled by larger forces many times (and, sadly, by smaller too, to my slight discomfort). Sure, we had to sneak to northern parts of the Piken BL many times, and we had to PvDoor a bit more than we’d prefer, avoiding superior forces, but we had fun overall. We could influence our PPT, we could kill some enemies, we could die. In short, fun WvW, for me.
I played far more than usual.
I felt useful again :-).

So I would like to thank both Piken and Abaddon players I have had the pleasure to fight against, especially those of you with whom I could spar, duel or chat. Now I know that even in tier1, if we ever had the bad luck to get there, roamers are helpful and can have fun. This matchup was a bit harder than I am used to, but I like challenges :-).

Piken, Abaddon, you have some very good players out there <3.

If GH ever meets you again, I won’t be sad ;-).

Just checked the thread 15 min ago and the post mentioned was not there ….now i would really like to know what was written … because normally the mods are never THAT fast.

It came from the same guy who caused all this drama since page one. Not gonna repeat what he said it was the first time that i reported someone though

I am tired of this crying. Btw we did fight INC, WBC in open filed yesterday. we never stayed inside our keeps to fight. If only that you kept trying to take bay in Piken border yesterday and we try to fight it out with you in bay inner or keep lord position is what you call pvdooring then so be it.

Havent said you didn’t fight in the open field but about 2 other guilds started to join the fight while we were busy so we can’t really take that as a fight doing 1 guild vs 3 guilds.

Other than that I thank everyone who gave a good fight.

capping a keep and you expect 1vs1? anyone will run to defend either one guild or 3. still we did not sit behind walls defending and fought. You shud see SFR and Viz in higher matchups how they defend keeps. You will respect us. :-p

In the end its all about fun and games

I was commanding when that video was taken, i think t was Sunday. Piken were having their Drunken Event so we decided to blob up to counter them, tbh it was a lot of fun, not something i’d like to do too often but a nice change from guild raids. I was aware of the guy in your TS later on but at no point did he pass on any information to me specifically, and in /m /s all i saw was a commentary of your reactions. Nothing to do with movements/positioning etc, our scouts were doing a good job that night.

we din mind any thing that night mate. we were having fun and getting drunk. its rediculous if anyone from Piken makes an issue out of that night. Spying someone or not.

Not like it mattered..this week has been pugs vs pugs or pvd, @ people still complaining about blobbing.. we are 12 ranks below Piken for a reason. It’s not like they chose to be matched up against two smaller populated servers. (altho Abaddon at some moments really did have a similar force going lol)

Prime time were good fights though, except for yesterday when WvW was nearly unplayable due to lag.

It’s hard to tell whether AM or Piken were zergier, but I think it was Piken.
