VII have been quite unlucky in getting the “inactive” maps so far this match-up. Thanks to Punk and TNN for making last night more enjoyable. A few of those GvG’s we couldn’t handle you but made for a good learning experience.

Hope to organise some GvG’s with AoA, GOT and FSV before the week is over.

It is my intetion 2 i dont really care about Points i Play 4 fun and 2 improve my fightingstyle, sometimes i run wt zerg 2 but prefer 2 roam around in small Groups lookin 4 fair fights
some fsp-players i met i told lets fight piken-some understood some not
defending Homelands is boring so i went pikenbl and succesfully got some Towers and camps in south with smaller Group

Get off your high Horses and admit already that you really just want a line of Enemy Players turned into lootbags without them putting up a decent fight and when they fight back they must be blobbing or building way too many Siege right?

RS never gave us a decent fight (expect a few guilds there). all you can is hide inside and bunker.
every DL/FSP player is better then RS, at least they come out and fight and try and so on.

Even though the matchup is kinda FUBAR, we still managed to have some fun since PS actually uses tactics other then the big blob of doom (like Blobbadon AM does).

What server/Guild is it that you were fighting? Even in HD and fullscreen I can’t make out the tags. They sure did scatter allot making it easy farming for your concentrated group.

Same can be said from other Servers playing against you who have a better coverage…which is in PS opinion blobbing (sorry for having enough ppl to fill 2 or even 3 Borderlands? lol).

Im from Riverside and I only post MY opinion, not the Opinion of the Server I play on. How could one Individual even represent the Opinion of a whole Server?

Just trying to point out that now YOU, PS is in the same position as Riverside was. You have a better coverage and dominate now. Well same goes for Riverside, we just have more Players and sadly less organised Guilds, thats why we only got 1-3 Commanders on every Map and Blobbing may occur. Also advanced tactics, or even easy things like “Melees follow the Commander” just aint possible.

Still, some PS Players (surely not all) and Players from other Servers are like “Noobs just blobbing”.
Well we cant help it, not so many Guilds and even less Players in Teamspeak.

Ridiculous thing about that is, that now you just play like RS díd against you and you call it a fun week. Not saying that you “want to” play like that, its just you got a better coverage than FSP and DL. And even though you are way better organised than RS is, what you are doing now to FSP and DL feels for them just like blobbing.

So try to get some consideration for Servers who got more WvW Players but arent as good organised. Else you are just hypocrites.

lawl street…you have no idea… we have lots of PvEer in wvw atm who just want to tryout wvw or complete the maps.

Other players like me enjoyed the first night and the 2nd after that it got bored. I know a lot of ppl who just dont play a lot of wvw this week. I by myself for example, because its just boring most of the time and the weather is the second reason ^^

btw i dont see a lot of FSP or DL crying, clearly they would enjoy a even matchup more but i would not like to win because of the enemy decided to let you win.

and no, PS is maybe in the same position regarding the manpower, but surely we dont hide in towers all day long

btw: if you have lots of ppl you have lots of “material” to work with, train them, show them that beeing in TS is better, explain them why they should not run zerker gear or MF gear or whatever.
Send some commanders or some ppl who want to be a commander for a week to other servers. Let them learn there and so on.

Its just a fact, that FSP/DL fight us more often in open field then RS.

anyways, this is the matchup thread for the match between DL-FSP-PS and not a thread for RS <→ PS blames/flames/QQs or whatever.
So i think i will not post more about this topic. Noone will change his opinion so its useless too.

we have guilds running in FSP BL: GG(think they are badged up for the friendlies), VII
DL BL: FG, GoW
also there should be guilds around like INC,SU/SFRJ, WIC,HoB, Necr.
thats a lot of solo running groups so not sure about blobbing ^^

blobs are around 50+ ppl and i think you dont find a lot of ppl running around with that numbers.

Difference was very simple. Players from the servers are fighting, from Rivercart died like mobs

3 kitten match ups in a row…
Cant even get any decent fight with a small roam grp, either people run or you face 25+

Hope Anet gets their kitten togheter with their fail system

Sorry for having enoguh Siege and Sups (Camps) to build them? We did need them to defeat you, you dont even need them to defeat FSP/DL crashing t1 keeps… Fun Match aint it…

@Balzamon: We do try, but it just dont works, or rather – it works rly slowly. Also after the big wave of Players leaving for ER/AM we are slowly finally getting some strong (rather new) wvw Guilds back. Still a long way to go.

Some nice fights on FSP border tonight with some guilds or not Beyond my expectations !

The weekend was not nice to play. PS used sup rams/trebs/catas to take over T0 towers/keeps etc, while we where outmanned 9/10 times. But we managed to get our keep back and to upgrade some towers on EB.

Monday morning it was great to command. Outmanned first, but slowly gained more people and more ground. We had a nice fight in Orgewatch to hold PS there, while my other group (we splitted in 2 zergs) took SM. PS isn’t that great in handeling 2 groups in the morning, and I’m glad they are. Keeps some fun left

To keep it short, weekends where terrible to play, but I had some fun defending etc. During the mornings we had a lot of fun, even when outmanned.

I used golem to take out paper door and then left golem just standing there. Why? Because even I do only one jumping puzzle a day, I have plenty of siege. Only thing that I buy is arrow carts. Besides, if it is worth doing, it is worth overdoing.

I didn’t mean when you got stomped specifically, I was talking about animation in general whether it you stomp or being stomped. If you don’t find it taunting/disturbing then why laughing gets err, bores you?

Once I had some charr dancing around, sitting on and emoting his kitten off for literally 10 minutes at my asura’s defeated body even though it wasn’t his [sole] merit to defeat me. It was mildly amusing, but eventually he got bored waiting to get any reaction, even release, while I was enjoying my coffee-break. Meh, whatever…

@street How can you honestly say that Piken plays like RS. We are not hiding inside keeps / towers spamming arrowcarts when we outnumber someone 5 to 1. This is not an opinion held just by Piken, when I chat to other servers, they echo the same thing about RS and AM. Since you guys have such a numbers advantage why don’t you practice more, Learn some tactics, try a more open Playstyle, you may find you enjoy it more. Not sure why you feel the need to keep posting in another matchups thread just makes you look bitter.

I have been impressed by both DL and FSP, both have represented themselves really well in a difficult matchup. I have enjoyed talking to and playing against both servers. it’s a shame you don’t have a lot of WvW oriented players, I think you could do well with more numbers.

so I take my hat off to both servers and hope you both get a fairer matchup for next week.

Bad matchup, but still having fun

depends of what you call morning but if its befor 9am (german time) then the reason that you were able to do it was that I, who normally command until that time slack hard.
Like i already said, ticking 500+ the first night was fun and something we normally not have. 2nd night was also okey, but in the 3rd night i got bored and decided to slack for the rest of the week
so our nighttime is atm 1 commander down and we dont have that many. (we are lucky when there is one all the time )

It’s called having an opinion.And no,eventhough i understand you would love to have me over there,im not a server hopper..i stick to one server at all times.

Having some great fights this week, altho im a little late i want to thank VII and GoW for a nice GvG! But i do have to say that this is a boring week 1 good server is dominating everything while the other 2 are getting all the scraps, hope this friday we get some equal servers to fight agenst. But like i said, having some nice fights this week Have fun Piken and Drakkar we are almost at the end!

i agree with you, i just tryed it out. its not possible with the AC on this place. but you could hit from a AC on the other side of the gate. Its hard for me to see if there is one or not. I watched the vid over and over.
I´m pretty sure that this wasnt a coordinated action if it was a cheat/hack, then it was the one person on the AC (i never saw the guild tag befor or at least i cant remember).

I think its clear that the percentage of players who use cheats, exploits and whatever is not higher then on every server and its the same percentage of players who hates ppl who use it and so on.
I´m sure there will be some kind of “investigation” to find the person on our server now xD
But in the end Anet has to find this person and has to ban him. there is no need for cheats. Actually i hope you managed to defend hills?
I dont want a keep (points) captured with points.

So yeah, be sure that it was ONE person and not the server or the zerg that is involved in that.

good 2 read someone cares about that, but sadly this is not the only hack(the only recorded btw) i v seen in so many battles all Kind of hackszoom hack teleport hacks even the npcs
iv seen in nearly every matchup, but not that much as in that matchup

A few days ago I gave kudo’s to PS for their attempts and good ways of fighting + tactics.
Tonight, FS BL was occupied by a certain group of PS players who were… in big numbers.

You guys may keep the kudo’s I gave, but don’t get mad @ us for running away/around (if even possible) the group you’re running around with on our BL. Our guess was you tackled DL first.. then came to us, props on the way of getting those points

We were just returning from taken Speldan, and our attempt on Anza had failed, so there was no point in staying, and we were not affraid of you; more the 15+ group behind you :-)

Never seen so many bad roamers from a server as i have from Piken, very funny all the people in the “big name guilds” and how bad they are split from the group, keep coming.

You know, there are these people that play support in group battles. They are not really built for roaming. So like you said they are bad when split from group (e.g. staff guardian/elementalist), but powerful for group to have.

Makes me laugh all these people complaining about roamers and 1v1 fights.

Any half decent group has builds that specifically synergy with each other and are designed for group environments. Must make you very proud.

I roam solo on my mesmer or Ele, most DL/FSP run from a solo mesmer or try to hide in a camp/tower. I have fraps footage of fights this week against groups of FSP and DL, including a couple of 1 vs 5 fights, one 1 vs 7 fight against DL, where I downed three, the remaining 4 then ran into the nearest tower and jumped on arrow carts. I probably won’t post these vids, because it’s not fair on the people I was fighting against.

every server has players that are better in larger or smaller groups, some have players that are better in none :P as others have said if people are specced in a certain way, for group play if you catch them alone and your specced for 1v1 / 1vX then you are going to have a big advantage.

I will keep an eye out for that DeX guild tag, you might already be in one of my vids, if you ain’t I’ll find you and add you to my collection

I must have missed that :P we were 2 ppl killing your commander and that other guy at the ram on anza ^^ as i ran towards you i saw 3 green dots (so PS Players) in anza. They did not attempt to follow me ^^

Thank you to both FSP and DL for the really fun fights this week. It’s fun learning a new server’s tactics and honestly your guilds on EB today had me running all over for hours on end trying to keep tabs on you guys. Was quite the workout, even if it was virtual Saw some really surprising and tricky stuff done. Made gameplay really enjoyable. So, thank you!
