I’m not sure if your serious, your accusing a medium population server with hardly any daytime/night time coverage a version of Vizunah?? I played on Desolation for 6 months+ and I’m certain Desolation have 3-4 times as much WvW population.

Although your from CS which I respect as a guild and I think Candy Fluxx is a really good commander I still can’t believe your accusing Piken of blobbing when Desolation has a reputation of being a blob server and Piken a guild server…

Having fights of 25vs25 everyday is great fun and you constantly learn new tactics but fighting high tier servers where fights are often 60+ you never learn new things except run around and press 1 and the team with more players win.

to gather more people then u .. thats what i consider as skill.. coordinating pugs and managing to get numbers.. if you dont want to go with high numbers and lose thats not the problem of the blobs thats your problem not adapting to the actual situation

and i didnt said that blobbing with huge numbers is skill i just said that not adapting to the blobs and qqing about blobs is no skill

Yeah that’s the bottomless pit problem that NA T1 is currently experiencing .. never enough players, constantly recruiting .. reminds me a bit of the old cold war arms race.

FG, DVG and GoD all travel in bigger groups than any Piken guild…

We only have 2 guilds on Piken that field more than 25 players, the majority field 15-20. The only reason you are beating us is due to your nightcap but for us it doesn’t really matter who wins a matchup as long as we have some good fun fights. Desperation and Blobaddon are not really providing many great fights unfortunately, thats why we’re not really keen on this matchup. Servers really need to learn it’s more about the fun fights than winning the ppt race, after all what do you get for winning apart from bigger kittens!

Honestly stop whining about us blobbing and doing this, that and the other. We got hammered for SIX months straight. Think you’ve had it bad for 2 weeks? Try facing the blob you have in EVERY BL for 6 months and then try actually co-ordinating. All those that stayed are just enjoying being able to take something instead of open field fighting blobs.

We have fought against the biggest blobs in game, and everyone that stayed is now trained in the art of it. Alot of fairweathers have come back to WvW now the storm is over and we are re-training them. At the end of the day if i have fun in a game at your expense, tough kitten, either move server or wait till the next matchup. there has been plenty of decent small scale fights to be had, you are raising in rating and will encounter this more and more so get used to it.

We learnt from VS how to defend stuff properly and keep objectives safe, if you roll organised guilds that can take double their numbers then the pugs aren’t gonna sit there and get farmed all night, they’re going to blob up and wipe you then laugh. Most the guilds that left Deso caused it to become a pug server, so tough kitten, most of you caused this lol

Lower tiers with good fights are —--> that way. In the mean time, drink a beer, join up with friends and go enjoy yourselves >_>

And to add there is now a strong community here where everyone from the core knows everyone else, that counts for more than anything else in my opinion

I think the general consensus amongst Deso now is to go out there and play for the win, fight for everything people have been building towards for the last few months. Alot of us have been T1, won the matchup and then gone back to playing for the fights and loot, things went south, we were forced into a corner and came out fighting and are now moving forward with an actual community where everyone knows everyone. I left Deso as the grass always seems greener on the other side and joined Piken.

You were organised and ran public groups which was great but it just missed that extra added touch, people would flame each other, argueover what to do, or just moan in team chat or flame the enemy for Lolz. People were only on public TS if an event was running.

Deso has people on TS 24/7 and there is always someone to talk to, or someone to tag along with and spend your night having fun. Most guilds use desospeak as a main comms and are more than happy to let people in. People are happy to jump BL for the greater good and go assist people they think of as friends if the need arises. And that is why I came back to Deso and joined EXG, a community makes a server, and the “pugs” win a war. Turning into a powerhouse and winning T1 is easy, losing everything and getting owned only to turn it around, rebuild and then comeback and enjoy the challenge of it is something else. That’s what makes it fun, we all know each other and can play with any guild or any commander any day of the week.

Look at SFR, in the same situation months ago but turned around and major props to them, they might not be beating VS but they are giving them a better run and better fight than many of us have for a long time. I’ve fought gvg many times, I’ve farmed servers for loot for so many months, playing for PPT just adds that extra fun nowadays as a commander and kitten to anyone that things otherwise :£)

This is correct to a degree.

[SPRT] runs very similar numbers to at least [FG] and our average raid size is now between 30-35. Most we have raided with was on reset which was 41, numbers have always been higher on reset for our guild and will most likely continue that way.

What Piken does have is the luxury of lots of guild groups of smaller scale, 20-25 that are able to support each other on the field, opening up flanks against opposing groups and harassing from multiple sides so although Desolation may have bigger guilds, Piken can certainly counter that and have done a number of times. The [SFRJ], [INC] and [GH] group do this exceedingly well so although they do not have the combined numbers under one guild tag, most of the time there are similar numbers between servers when battles like this happen.

It has been an interesting week but sadly I have not seen many guilds roaming alone on the maps we have played this week. Although we have our differences [INC] I have to say props to your guild as It’s the one I’ve seen the most this week trying to play away from the bigger groups.

And for whichever one of the [GG] created Fudging Game [FG] it was a good laugh.

Glad you appreciated it Jue. We were having fun playing pirates on the boat in Bay but after getting wiped(60+AM vs 12[GG]), we needed to do something to amuse ourselves. With a lot of people telling us that FG were doing corpse jumping when they kill a solo with your group we thought you were the best targets. It was awesome for us and a shame you didn’t accept our invite to join the guild. WvW is about the fun, hope your guys don’t lose that now you back on Deso.

I should have been clearer, they have the same attitude as SFR. Only fights matter, only prime time matters, guild groups don’t blob, we are always outnumbered, we never build many AC in towers, only the enemy spams AC etc.

I’d agree with you to an extent, but we’ve both played on both Deso and Piken and Piken really don’t use siege that much whether it’s a good or bad thing depends on how you see it but when you see Desolation building AC’s in open field then the server is no longer playing for fights imo.

‘A common call of the scrub is to cry that the kind of play in which one tries to win at all costs is “boring” or “not fun.” Who knows what objective the scrub has, but we know his objective is not truly to win.’

I’m sure that you have seen it yourself many times when you arrive at enemy tower gate and expect commander to drop 2 rams, but then random ppl drop their own siege, often crap like balista etc and waste supply on it…
The same thing happens in the open field, haven’t seen any commander dropping siege or saying on TS “drop few ac here”, usually it’s the opposite “who the fk drop ac here”… Can’t control every person in your group so yeah, sometimes you see random siege.
Don’t blame whole server for actions of few players.

Some good fights tonight in AM Borders, we lost some ppl early due to that dam real Life, but wanna give a shout out to 2 really good Guilds and fun to fight CoiN and EXG.

On Abbadon server we really havent came across any Guilds that run on there own yet, still 2 more Days tho.

We would also like to thank you guys for the awesome fights this week. We continue to learn alot from every Piken Guild/AM Guild we face (we they are alone) and are grateful for the encounters.

Pretty sure Thursday is an off day for Coin, but seeing two tags follow a community commander of course instantly means that we blob.

Please learn to understand the difference between squad events (which are usually guild only orientated) and community commanding (a total mixture of guilds/people led by a known commander from the community). Finally to address this childish issue of ‘blobing’ let me say the following:

1. Every server blobs and every server will deny that they blob
2. I have even led a ‘blob’ myself whilst community commanding and have had lots of fun. HOWEVER, would never do so or join a blob whilst guild/squad commanding regardless of what anyone may say. Coin have always ran solo and we respect the enemy server guilds that do as well during there events.
3. Sometimes (not all the time like some guilds do) two guilds will end up clashing in the same place due to the nature of the game design and limited objectives/space/roaming paths. I totally agree that this is annoying, but is the nature of the beast in open field.

Well have been an interesting matchup this week, mostly played roaming solo or in groups of 2-3 (since SU is too small to do otherwise), doable if you stay away from the zergs.

Had some great fun in piken bl today, I saw all three servers blobbing so not complaining. Some really nice fights in bay and sunnyhill, lets hope for some good fights tomorrow before we possibly bid farewell.

Had some pretty fun fights while roaming tonight. Made a little video out of a few of them too.

Only editing is really speeding up the boring parts, music is just the one i had playing in backround while roaming.

Glad you appreciated it Jue. We were having fun playing pirates on the boat in Bay but after getting wiped(60+AM vs 12[GG]), we needed to do something to amuse ourselves. With a lot of people telling us that FG were doing corpse jumping when they kill a solo with your group we thought you were the best targets. It was awesome for us and a shame you didn’t accept our invite to join the guild. WvW is about the fun, hope your guys don’t lose that now you back on Deso.

Sorry about wiping you… i was with this blob (yes, when some known commanders on AM start an event, there usually is a big blob), but our commander had the impression you were involved when we got wiped the first time in the bay, so we rolled over you… If i remember that stuff correctly! (maybe my memory is a bit vague…)

But getting on that boat wasnt easy!

The most of piken guilds dont wanna play for score, we just wanna have good fight and fun in open fields and we hate when they heat your kitten in keeps, towers with 10 ACs. Its boring doing the same for 8 months or you guys wanna siege the same towers still 2 years and sitting all night in one ugly keep?

As for piken,if you don’t look after your pugs, you’ll have a smaller base to recruit from in the future. Losing every week will cause an erosion of players, from your server. Maybe if you just like to fight, you should try spvp?

You’re funny! Thats what you folks don’t really understand about us, we don’t care about winning or losing it’s the fun to be had during the week that matters most. Plus we don’t have any pugs on Piken, we only have friendlies so we don’t have a problem there.

Points accumulate due to us needing to fight you. When all you do is hide in your keeps and towers unless you have the blob with you. We have to get in for our fights, then we cap them so it gets you all angry. You then try to take it back giving us more fights. I don’t understand how you can’t work that out, it’s not rocket science, it’s the fact we have to play a certain way when the enemy is too scared of an even fight. We’re not the server so desperate for points we feel the need to PvDoor all night just so we can say “Ooh we’re so much better than you, we won the matchup. Didn’t win a single honest fight, but who cares i have a bigger kitten now!”
No i’m not mad or a bad loser, i’ve just found fighting Desperation and Blobaddons is probably even more boring than fighting RS. I really do hope you guys work it out one day, fights are fun ppt are boring. When you do you’ll feel liberated and your server will have a much better attitude towards others. Til we next meet gl with the ppt chase to become/catch Viz.
