Dear god man get over yourself. Just because there isn’t a hack category in the report tool doesn’t mean they don’t investigate them. I filed a ticket with screenshots when I saw an AC exploit and got an answer back within 3 hours.

If I was a company with the intent on actually policing the game, what would be the best way for my staff to get an accurate assessment in the quickest time possible?

A reporting tool that lets you pick an appropriate category, records character doing reporting, character being reported and thus all of their related information like server. It also records exact position in the game for both characters, exact server time stamp, and anything else that is needed, all wrapped up in a nice summary.

Or

An email address where I have no control over what information that is sent, no hard information on position, character IDs, time, etc.

I think the answer is pretty clear and since they already have a reporting tool which likely gets most of the information needed already, how hard is it to expand to include more categories? This is something that should have been added months ago and I do not think anyone should be making excuses for why it hasn’t.

None of that is lost on me, I’m just saying it’s a little silly to speak so harshly about it. Hacks can be reported, and the reports are read and investigated. Really, that’s all I care about. The lack of a drop-down menu option for it doesn’t really bother me, although your mileage my vary. It would be a nice addition to be sure, but really this is mountains-and-molehills territory. I reported a hack in-game using the “botting” option and it was addressed. This isn’t a big deal.

I use the in game reporting tool. Should I mark them as “gold seller” or “botting”? Because those are my gaddamn options. I’ll believe you care when you actually put a “hacking / exploiting” on the report tool. Until then, you’re just blowing smoke up our assets.

Why would we bother doing reporting them to ANet? We reported them over and over and over AND OVER and the exact same people are exploiting in the exact same way they are doing for the last two weeks.

So… please, don’t tell us to report the exploiters in this matchup AGAIN to ANet if ANet doesn’t fix them anyway, it is very discouraging for the vitims of these exploits.

Please, understand that the team must be very very careful when dealing with both exploits and exploiters. Then can’t go trigger happy on their job, else it would do more bad than good. Reports are always of use, but they must be done the right way. It’s no use posting about exploits in the forums, as that would only lead to making them common knowledge and more people using them. That is why we ask you to report them.

The team does their best to deal with both exploits and exploiters, so please, have a little bit of patience and keep providing us with evidence. If you have screenshots or videos, please remember to forward them to the CS team -http://en.support.guildwars2.com/-. And remember, under no circumstance post acussing someone of exploiting.

They’re annoying to be sure. I can almost deal with the damage to troops. It’s the damage to siege that is unconscionable.

+1. Although, nerfing the damage to personnel would be great too. As it stands, the encouragement to turtle and not fight is way too high and has been making the bulk of my forays into WvW not fun and even downright boring.

Eh, I wouldn’t say the majority. All servers see an impact from new content anyway.

We’re missing a few of our big commanders and guilds the past two weeks, so we’re struggling with that. Not a big deal.

I definitely hope we see them back soon, but if we don’t…we’ll just carry on and keep learning that…oh yeah…there are more than four commanders on our server. :-P

When you report a exploiter, a acurate timestamp is probably one of the most important features, im quite sure Anet have logs of the code and actions, and being able to know when a exploit happens, narrows things down considerble, since they can most likely see status of tower/keep etc, and if anyone is inside and or easier track what indivduals did around that time stamp, and where it happened
