SFR and Vizunah gangs up on Desolation here and there so its quite normal for double teaming to happen occasionally. i say its part of the game to some extent.

They failed with map design (they need to be 5x larger, with same amount of objectives and no waypoints as a basic fix; the middle of the map should have a mechanic like the orb which also needs perma protection to keep buffs active, maybe emphasize on small scale in that area by adding 5-10 minor objectives which need to be held).

I totally agree with you on the ArenaNet part. Most WvW players just don’t understand that if the game was really designed around WvW, effectively allowing large battles with decent performances, not a soul would even dare criticizing WvW players / guilds just because they group with other people.

The game engine can’t handle large battles without creating skill lag / ability delay, framerate drops, characters warping and such. This is not an opinion, it’s a known fact. Culling / clipping was there to hide the engine’s poor perfomances, now that it’s gone, everyone is raging on blobbing because it brings bad performances.

Therefore, it’s basically witch hunt season opening, any guild, server or even individual is accused of blobbing, which seems to be worse than anything, even cheating or exploiting. People grouping with other people to achieve their goals, how infamous in a MMO, right ?

Accusing anyone of blobbing in 2013 is like criticizing our ancestors because they grouped together to hunt game more efficiently. In this pristine example, you’re the mammoth, running like hell and calling hunters chasing you blobbers. Don’t you have better things to do than being some on the loose, talking mammoth right now ? I think so.

You know, it’s not like I have lots of love for IRON as my posting history shows, but for all the crap they’re getting, they never bandwagoned on the current fotm server… rather, they stood on Deso and helped rebuild during the two periods in which the server fell in trouble.

Not many left, now, after not even a year from game release, who can claim having done the same. Especially not between the so-called “hardcore” WvW guilds.
We might be using different interpretations of “hardcore” here…

Tactical 2v1 is were all servers are out to kill each other and cap the point. Organised 2v1 is were 2 servers actively avoid each other and focus down the 3rd server.

TL:DR it is easy to post random pics to suit an argument of 2v1, but please get your facts straight before calling out a guild on doing it

That was to counter the IRON blob and SFR won. IRON left the zone to help out other zones on that reset night relatively quick (don’t like your own medicine?). Besides how can RG+sIN+pugs be bigger then what Deso or Viz brings to the table, when you got everyone and their mother on your tail, actively asking pugs and other guilds to follow? There’s a zone cap.

RG isn’t interested in blobbing up and is actively telling pugs to get on the commanders and respect the guild raid. Just like I respect another guild’s raid, I expect this from everyone on the server. We don’t need randoms following us, basically nullifying any effort by dying, because they can’t follow our movements (they aren’t on comms, they are bad, many reasons).
I can’t deny we sometimes clash into a pug commander from SFR, because we run untagged.

Number #2 to blame are the players.
Mentality has changed over the years. No more fights for the fun, only for the kitten (avoiding fights I can’t win; only attacking when I get the jump and/or have superior numbers). Servers playing only for the “win”, a win without benefits (yes, you are green next week, nice), a win in an uncompetitive enviroment (GW2 will never go esports, regardless what the devs think, in it’s current state and for the foreseeable future. GW2 wvw is won based only on coverage).

We stayed on sfr border all reset, quickly lost numbers, but i was there we did not leave sfr border before 4am BST so stop spouting nonsense.

We started off in 2 squads but each squad was outmanned, we and the other guild on the map all turned off our comander icons, so you must have had some information from deso (a Spy) that you thought incorrectly that we had left the map.

I said well played to you guys at the time. Then all it comes back to is blobbing, when in fact the border was split between 3 seperate units with not one comamnder tag on the map. But we are still called a blob?

Actually we appreciate the manners and the props given on reset by IRON. It’s quite refreshing for someone to be mannered on forums.The reason we blobbed up in hills with sIN, was because we expected a full zone to hit there and as you can see the Hills fight from the stream doesn’t look like SFR have more. Opt + RNV were handling Bay and when we lost that they were protecting Garrison and North towers. And yeah you did stay quite long that reset. The one time the whole zone blobbed up in Garrison was actually a strategic mistake because sIN were supposed to stay in Hills, but when it’s inner on lord and people are calling for help in region overkills like that can happen. I think we almost lost hills because of it later on too. Anyway you and Empyre are talking about a different reset so pls stop the confusion :P.

I’ve noticed when I was PuGing it that you had quite some success splitting up in the SFR zone during this and last week, taking north towers or garrison while ppl are blobbing on one of them. So just keep it up and enjoy the game without skill lag. After sometime ppl will hopefully notice it’s not always the full IRON blob when they see a few IRON guys running around lol :P. It doesn’t help with scouting reports either it’s like people have been classically conditioned to expect a 100 of you every time.

Anyway a lot of misunderstanding and reading things the wrong way is going on in this thread, like when I tried to say I had fun fighting VotF one day, while we did not take any points, they actually interpreted it as me laughing at them for not taking points :P.

Thankyou mate. We are actually trying to run more and more often as 2 seperate squads to varying degrees of success. We have 3 prime time commanders, so it is often dependant on who is on as to whether or not we do this. Seth and Wrex pretty much always run seperate squads these days in prime if on together. Obviously to take some objectives near spawn it becomes necessary to join these forces, for example to take garrison.

Yeh we tried to get you out of hills on reset by attacking garrison to try and sneak it a number of times, but your defence was brilliant that night, was a shame you spotted coin when the keep lords health was going down, we had tried to distract you, but could not hold out long enough.

I played a little more then usual yesterday and was on most maps during the day, we (SFR) got our kitten served to us, “credit where credit is due”, well done Deso and Viz.

If we are to start picking up the pieces and start to be more organised, try and give a little more respect to pug’s like myself that come in and try and do their bit for server, I’ve noticed a lot of negative comments in the map chat towards pug’s, it’s not productive to the cause and makes you look like kittens

They are the ones that assisted and helped SFR to become stronger, around this time we did not have queue problems, yet we were kicking kitten /p>

My point is : being on top brings you : double teaming, pugs migration, and many other annoying things. If you want to play without these annoyances, stop doing anything to stay first of the ladder.
Anet free transfer thing made this happen faster, that’s all.
And yes, SFR beated us before the free transfer, and is still able do it, even harder, if you manage to deal with Pugs and queues, just like we do.

My thanks to deso and viz, we were thinking of making our Keep more open plan and airy – I love what you’ve done with the place.

Find me the space on the forums where we are crying for this it doesn’t exist and you are being delusional, we never ever asked for EVERYONE around the world to join the server. Gogo, quote.

What we wanted to do was create a competitive server centred around having wvw focused guilds cooperating together (it was a success before free transfers opened). And unless you haven’t noticed many of the guilds have left already because they cannot get into zones and play (OSC, ECL, NoE). To say NOW that we’ve gathered a lot of guilds is a joke, when the exact opposite has happened and several guilds have left.

The entire reason that you seem to misunderstand about the Piken transfers is that Piken guilds were split 1/2 and 1/2 some wanted to go down to t3 and others wanted to go up to t1. Because some thought t1 was all about blobbing and nightcap, while others thought the best guilds played there, which would be fun to play against. So those who wanted to play in t1 joined with likeminded ppl on SFR which allowed the rest of Piken to go down to t3 and everyone was happy, it wasn’t a bandwagon to the winner move. Anyway EU t1 has been a disappointment on a GvG competitive level so maybe those who wanted to go down to t3 were right, because all that has been going on here is blob for no reason and nightcap for the win most of the time.

We were never able to cover the nightshift by actual around the world guilds it was always SFR putting in the extra effort to minimize losses during night time.

If you’re taking anything about any rats seriously, then maybe you need to transfer to a roleplay server. The real reason Viz got focused by us was always because they were the strongest competitor for 1st place and because some ppl disliked your nightcapping playstyle.

SFR Garrison yesterday was just awful. 5-10 seconds of delay before we could use any spell other than #1. Deso guarding entrance to let VZ capture.

I can’t see how anyone think this is fun. But if you really do think this is fun, please keep blob-teaming up like this, a bit more often if possible. I want to drop down to t2 asap, at least until people either stop blobbing or ANet fixes skill lag.

Free transfers to T1 servers existed for 6 months, which you should know, because you might have been on SFR the first time it got to the top.
On the history of GW2 WvW, there has been a lot more free transfers than paid transfers. But of course, this is a conspiracy of Deso and VS to take the first spot.

Anet tends to help VS anyways, don’t you remember the time when SFR slipped to T2 to play the reset of the ratings. And then Anet decided “nope, we don’t like SFR”.

You know, with the amount of Badges I’m getting from the Deso/VZ blobs, I could have that aspect of a legendary weapon already done now.
