Why does anyone have to justify any demographic?

Seems to me if server A has more players overnight you have two options: fight them or recruit your own.

Who cares where people live or if they’re staying up crazy hours to fight?

Look at the end result.

Then get out there and fight.

I think there is 0.5% of the whole population who are not from our time zone.

Yes, but why does it even matter if that is said? They could be up ridiculous hours and doing nutty stuff, nobody knows except those that play there — and in the end it’s the results that matter, nothing more.

I could say I wear a pink tutu while playing WvW because I believe it gives me superpowers. Doesn’t mean it’s true. Nor should it affect your gameplay. There’s far more interesting things to debate, frankly.

Stick with the facts: There is a strong night crew. Either find ways to counter or recruit your own. Everything else shouldn’t concern you.

Nah, one guy said “maybe 5%”, a dozen said “none”, and 99% of Vizu said nothing.

Can everyone, but especially those kittens from my own server SFR, stop the whining about nightcapping/Canadians/double teaming?

We are losing because Vizunah Square is simply the best at the ppt-game.

I for one don’t even want SFR to be as good as Vizunah in this because it will destroy the attitude of looking for the good fights, fighting for improvement of individual/group skill, fighting for fun. Sadly, this is already happening…

…but for now, we still almost always wipe Vizunah in open field, even when they outnumber us by quite a bit. In that, we still ARE better (as soon as we fight against the same amount of Piken, you feel the difference between them and Vizunah: in spirit, in toughness, in skill).

Hoping for some more good fights between us all, see you on the battlefield.

Nobody said it’s only Canadians playing at night. French (30?40?50?) + people from another timezone (30?40?50?) make it so deadly because only a combination out of this gives you such great numbers.

My answers are below. Maybe you can be the first to answer my questions?

SFR/VS comparison:

Just look at the SFR teamspeak right now. There are people from India, Korea, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, USA, Jordania, Canada and many more countries and there are much more international servers than French ones. Tell me one reason, when there are so many people from countries outside of Europe playing on SFR (someone said 35 at night), why should there NO ONE (or 3 or 10 or whatever ridiculous small number) from the millions of French speaking person outside of the French timezone on the best French server in Europe?

Quebec/Switzerland:

If you compare Quebec and Switzerland (both have the same population of 8 million with 5 million German speaking in Switzerland) and count the Swiss players on German servers you can expect the same number of Quebec players on French Servers. The only difference is that Quebec players play during EU night.

French the better players?

It’s hard to believe that a national server from France with players only from France can bring so many players during night hours online for such a long time. And all French servers are mystically strong at night so it’s not only a Vizunah thing.

None of the arguments hold.
The first one is ridiculous : the number of French speaking people outside of an euro timezone is ridiculously small, and consists very very largely of canadians.
There is a huge number of “non-euro” people playing on SFR because it was supposed to be the winning international server (ie English speaking). The number of French-speaking people in the world is not comparable to the number of English-speaking people (everyone speaks English).

The second one has been dismissed by Troma : Canadian guilds have been asked to join, they declined. Euro servers are not interesting to them.

The third argument is borderline racism, the fact that we are French has nothing to do with the strength of the night force. Ask AR if they have a strong night force. As JS if they have a strong night force … you’re dellusional.

Then, the numbers given by one random person of Vizu are not truth. They simply are not. You can’t decide Tygra has been saying the truth and everyone else from Vizu telling you “there are no Canadians” has been lying to you.

And finally : stop about the teamspeak. Security measures impose that kind of things, but trust me, we know peeeeerfectly well who’s logging in. And where they live.

back in spring i did nightshifts (almost) everyday, mostly starting with guildraid at 8pm GMT and afterwards leading or helping other commanders, for months.
and i will mostlikely do it again when i have holidays and time for that (i dont rly like the crowded daytimes, better sleep there and play with the relaxed ppl at night + piken can use the hands more at nighttimes then at daytimes )

I want to be counted as canadian whenever i play at nights, i already have an sanctuary agreement with one of our canadian players. That should make me at least 25% canadian. Being german all the time is way to mainstream.^^

Hello I’m from Jade Sea but I have a second account on Vizu – like everyone on Vizu and JS (you know we help each other, that’s why JS is so bad during the week end cause we all are on Vizu to secure the scores and have a head start, then on Wednesday everyone switches to JS).

To be honest I log on Vizu every night. Thus i’ve just applied for Canadian nationality. Canadian authorities will sure consider that playing PvP MMO games at (EU) night-time is a major asset. Furthermore i truely love mapple syrup.

Who’s the next one to come out ?

Since this thread has definitely became a “VS canadian night manpower” topics, let me add my stone to this burial.

As a full time night player, I spend hours from 2am ‘till 10am and sometime later.
I play every map, starting with scouting borderlands usually up to 3 or 4am. Then I often switch on EB map because BL are often boring at late night and (at least on VS) we find fun there, especially on the TS which is, to say the least, “relaxed” at this period, even when things are becoming tight.
Is ’night vibes’, I guess it so for other servers.

This to say:

I think I barely know most of the people who plays WvW at night, not closely of course but enough to have heard or seen most of them on the TS. And before someone have some consideration about people not using TS and because pointless figures seam to be so fashionable in that debate, let assume that about 5% of night shift doesnt use TS, most of them are roamers. This is due to Vizunah’s players strong dedication.

Beside, since I’m a registered user, I can see the country flag of each of them. At night, virtually no one is using a proxy, even though, this would increase the number of people showing outer France/Belgium flag.

In fact I have never seen more than 5 flags from NA timezone at the same time.
Actually, most of the flags are french and belgian, let say 90-95% of them.
Since the majority of night player are using TS, we may assume that it’s a ‘representative’ distribution of the server WvW night population and that the number of 5% of the WvW night players outside France timezone is quite fair.

Let me give you that simple teaching : 5% is NEVER significant when we are talking about statistic assessment of a population’s feature. And if you feel so bad about it, take a look at what we are talking: it’s 3 people in a 60 men group.

WHAT AN OVERWHELMING MANPOWER !

5% is 2.5 for 50, not 4 !
Be accurate, or they’ll say we bent the mathematical rules to have more Canadians without saying so !

How else is Vizunah going to get score?! Geez, those guys cant do anything without Piken. The lengths you have to go to carry Vizunah is insane. Sometimes when we’re logged on to both our Vizunah and Piken accounts and end up fighting each other we still has to help Vizunah win the fight.

No no no you got that wrong mate. most guilds/people left SFR to be able to fight in WvW without being in queue 2 hours. All that joined was PVE players maybe, but thats about it.

Try joining other servers to see how things work out on them. Trust me hate is not the only option servers have or guilds have against other guilds. I keep writing posts to answer the disgusting hypocrysy going on in this thread (unkownhr being the prime example) and deleting them to try and avoid stirring up the waters even more, lol.

Actually you know what I wanted to wait for the end of the week but since the battle is already over, I’ll just go ahead and congratulate Vizunah on their first place in this season. I said before the league that if Vizunah wanted to prove something they had to do it in the league and I stand by what I said. Well played, you really are the best at PPT-play, with all it entails.
