What is the point of thrusting flowers when you don’t have to navigate? What is the point of geysers when you don’t have any fun finding out their patern?

After this nerf there could be just teleporters instead of flowers and pillars instead of geysers.

Just bring their functionality back… At least into tribulation mode.

Nerf on flower was apparently ‘cuse u could exploit to jump half level W2-2 if u jumped in the right 1 (read somewhere in a youtube’s viedo’s comments, not sure though);
Anyway it doesn’t take that much tries to guess where to jump, with or without assisted dash.

The SAB wasn’t nerfed at all.

  • Some bugs were fixed.
  • Some things, for which short-term bug fixes weren’t available, got “too easy” workarounds, which will probably be replaced by proper bug fixes for the next release. (I expect the geysirs back in the rapids once they find a way to fix them)
  • Some things were changed to what the designer originally had in mind (rapids were supposed to act as conveyor belts, not insta-death)
  • Some unintended difficulty spikes were removed so the entire level is closer to the designer’s intent.

The SAB wasn’t nerfed. It was fixed in some places and corrected in others. Josh Foreman made that very, very clear in his posts. If you haven’t read them, I suggest you check them out in the “Is the SAB too hard?” thread, or the dev tracker.

The only actual nerf I found was implemented before the hot fix: the swiftness buff in world 1 zone 1 before the chasm that requires a slightly longer jump.

There were Hundreds of players that could not progress in the levels due to Bugs. Not skill. There are far more difficult things in the game than the geysers or the flowers. Neither of which were actually difficult in the first place, just the bugs knocking you back in mid air and killing you for no reason making the content all but inaccessible to those with unreliable latency..

+1 bad update , more way points and the other kind of stuff made it again easier .. Just do it harder for god sakes, dont listen so much to your noob players , if they cant get an ap cause its hard , then its actually good .. You need a good balance between hard and easy content

Just wait for World 4 tribulation mode zone 3. I’m sure they’ll make it hard so even you can’t complete it after 1000 tries. But then probably even you will complain. ;-)

I like more difficult content generally speaking. However I could see a scenario where they increase the difficulty with each world, and world 2 was more difficult than intended with that in mind.

There was no “nerf”.

There were bug fixes for players who couldn’t even do Normal Mode due to lag and latency issues and the content not playing as Josh intended.

Of course they are. Half of these folks didn’t even read the patch notes or research to find out why the changes were made. Josh was very clear and he only fixed what was broken, sadly that involved leaving the geysers up because ATM there was no other way to deal with latency and knockback that was keeping a lot of players from being able to progress. I think the Devs did a great job with fixing what was buggy but not making SAB “Super Easy Box”.

But shh.. don’t tell these guys that.
