I really do want to finish Tribulation mode. Even after 4hr of excruciating trial and error running thru World 1 on the Monday just before Tequatl update I’ve had to put up with minor lag issues placing me in death situations where I had appeared to be safe ground. Since I am based in Oceanic I accept that and got my green great sword. Now post Tequatl update and I steeling myself for a second run. Unfortunately my resolve is steadily breaking through my last 2 daily runs in NORMAL mode. The absolutely horrific lag means I will always be 5 steps behind my apparent position, or may not even have moved at all judging by all the coconuts the monkey have hit me with while I was moving! Or may be even the situations where I have stopped at a ledge before acid water and wondering why my health is depleting all of a sudden. Or even death by blue monkey even though I am supposed to be right behind him swinging my numchucks and hitting nothing!

THE GAME can’t even agree with where I AM!

How will I ever complete TM if I am going to be punished for every unprecise positioning due to lag issue. Spike traps, acid water, delayed dodges at the Toad kings tongue lash. This is driving me nuts!

As a fellow Oceanic player, I feel your pain. There was a period two weeks ago where the lag was SO atrocious I could not make any progress at all. I eventually had to give up and wait for the lag to improve.

One suggestion I can make is try doing it during our night time, when most US-based players (if you’re on a US server like me) are in bed and there’s less people on.

I can barely play normal mode World 1. I mean.. I’d be running on flat ground after having made a jump and suddenly be falling through the air, dying and being returned to the check point.

I was being hit by invisible mobs.

The bosses were hitting me even though they weren’t facing me.

Horrible skill lag.

Then I get disconnected.

It’s all over the game though, not just in SAB. But what really makes me mad is SAB is temporary AND has time-gated baubles. I’m trying to work for skins and this is making it nearly impossible. If I lose a day to this horrendous lag, I can’t get those bubbles and dig spots back.

I still have Trib mode to work on, but right now that’s impossible.

My request would be to please, please extend SAB some since something is rotten with ANet servers… from what people’s pathpings are showing: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Lagg-issues-after-hotfix/first#post2877935

The game was playable for me so I decided to try Trib mode finally. W1Z1 was fine and really fun. Z2 is where my fun is ending. Not because Trib is too hard.

It’s because the lag/hit detection issues are ruining Josh’s creation. So many deaths due to the game not being able to recognise where I really am.

I now cannot get past the bit where you have to jump on the lily pads over the green insta kill water part.. the game keeps thinking I’m not on the lily pads. 3 easy jumps I can’t get past and I’m so close to the end (forget even trying to get the check point balloon)

edit: must have gone through 50 lives so far. I’m so angry I’m about ready to cry.

I’m on an NA server in NA and I’m seeing the lag too. Ever since Tuesday it’s been killing me, especially spring jumps near spikes/acid/lava and any jump that has to be at all precise with spikes/acid/lava in between where I start and land. Weirdly though the thwomp rocks have become much more manageable, if not perhaps more random. If I try to run through the gauntlet in world 1 zone 1 it’s a crapshoot between either them not activating at all or them behaving in a psychic manner or knocking me back from an entire platform away. But largely if I take my time with them they just don’t activate at all, which has been nice.

But yeah, I gotta figure that if someone in NA with a good connection is having this issue Oceanic players must be having it even worse than usual.
