Okay, I get that Clockwork Chaos is still in the game, and people can still get their farming out on that for however that’s around, and that’s great.

Kudos to Anet for keeping that around..

But why, for the love of god, change something that worked so well in the past. Why change something that wasn’t broken?

That was from Dulfy’s SAB Preview thread.

I haven’t updated the game(due to internet issues on my end), but why do this? It’s not like you could sell the skins you got from bauble farming on the TP, so bauble farming wasn’t profitable. besides, it was already hard enough to get 50 bauble bubbles per skin(I believe that was the cost)..

This just seems like its the opposite direction that Anet was going towards with CC.

‘Sure, you guys can get your farming fix from the chaos, but oh.. we don’t want you farming sab anymore so we put these fixes in place.. Now you can enjoy everything SAB has to offer, once a day! Isn’t that better?’

Please, Anet, please understand, SAB wasn’t in need of fixing.

Rather than fix the issue: delete character farming for 24 hours a day and getting all the obsidian shards you could ever want.

Nope.
You have more than one chr? Too bad.
You paid for those chr slots? Too bad.
You spent several hours a day, all month last time, because you were having fun and still didn’t get all the skins you wanted for your alts? Too bad.
Account bound this, ‘once per day per account’ that, thanks but I’ll be going back to single player rpgs at this rate of exclusion at every turn.

It’s not like people who play alts are rare or even a small subset of the player base. I like switching between my alts regularly, for fun. But there is nothing left in the game where that is anything but discouraged.

WvW? don’t bother switching to another chr, you’ll lose out on the progression system.
Dungeons? World Bosses? PvE in general? Oh, don’t bother, everything is limited to once per day.
SAB, the best thing any one ever did in an mmo, where rewards were great and fun to get, and limited only to the SAB itself or one set of easily acquired skins? Nope. Once per day.

So what is there to do with alts in this game? Switch off farming champs if one auto attack gets too boring.
At least I was able to buy all the new skins today, time to go back to farming champs.

This makes me sad. It’s the first time since I’ve started playing the game that I’ve seriously considered uninstalling it and playing something else. It’s always one thing after another, and I had such high hopes for SAB being fun(farming imo is fun, I love just throwing on some good tunes, or the radio, and just ‘wasting time’ in a game), but now I don’t know..

I’m not even sure if Shadow of the Mad King will be worth it this time around, what with the anti-alt way they are going.. :/ Didn’t they even say they were going to add a feature that allowed you to skip the tutorial? Isn’t that supposed to be alt-friendly? Hell that even sounds farmer-friendly..

As for considering uninstalling and finding a new game? Yeah, this is a definite “Nearly last straw.”
I’ll at least hang around for Mad King.

Been looking forward to the return of SAB for months, but right now it’s not even worth it. Love the sound effects on the pistol and riffle… that I bought off the TP.

(Really even that disappoints me, I really wanted to work towards getting the skins myself. Not be timegated into only getting one or two of them across the whole month.)

Seriously, or at least ALLOW US FARMERS TO DO WHAT WE DO BEST! FARM THE kitten OUT OF A NON-PROFITABLE FARM! Jeez. >.>

I plan on checking it out. I had fun with it a year ago.. but.. If something happens with it again, some sort of Anet-filled surprise chalk full of per account per day this, and some ‘random excuse as for why this needs to be this way’ that, I’m out.

If the clocktower becomes useless after one run, IE, one day chest, and the PvP side of the event becomes a one day, per account thing, that will be the reason to leave for me. That will show that Wintersday’s jumping puzzle will also be the same, and that that’s their entire plan for the game now. For me, in my own opinion, it will kill the game.

I was under the impression that that was an option.
