Anyone knows why the chopping axe is removed from the website and isnt in the Gem Store? It was promoted first at the tab: New Items in Gem Store.

Not sure there was a post about it under the BLTC section. I hope it gets here soon!

Ah, Anet answered at twitter to someone: The logging axe is not currently available, but it will be coming in the future. ^RB

Bummer, just got an email that said the logging axe was available and was like “woot!” and logged on quick, but it wasn’t there

I was really anticipating finishing out the set. Why am I not surprised they let that bit of misinformation slip by….

Was hoping for a steam chainsaw of some kind with fancy animation used to cut trees, haha.

Not everyone uses or follows twitter or facebook… maybe putting a feed widget on the gw2 homepage site would make it more easy for everyone.

I hope this comes out soon, I was looking forward to it.

I don’t use twitter… Have there been updates there?

My gems are ready for a couple of them once they are added whenever they are added.

That being said. I have always found it extremely shortsighted of the devs to leave the forums out of the loop when making these types of announcements. As many have noted they don’t use twitter or facebook. And I agree—announce/share on the official forums and then add it to the various social feeds. Or the other way around, as long as info is passed to all equally and in a timely manner but the forums should never be left out of the loop.

Well, what can I say. I’m sort of glad that it isn’t a chainsaw. I know that is what many players were hoping for, but it wouldn’t have been a great fit for my main.
This axe looks pretty sweet to me and I don’t mind the animation either. I’m getting one.

(If it made logging slightly faster than usual, like the sickle does, that would be a sweet bonus.)
