inspector kiel bugging out
I had the same problem just couple minutes ago. Going to restart the dungeon.
Such waste of time…
She is stuck and don’t move to open the door.
On top of this dungeon don’t have EXIT.
P.S. I’m not even surprised. Anet without bugs is like … w/e

Same here, bugged after the jumping puzzle.
+1 She got stuck at end of dungeon at Mai’s door. Infinitely attacking the npc there.
Can’t reset dungeon. Tried rebanding, etc.
Edit: okay after rebanding (the dungeon didnt reset) she fixed herself.
Be prepared to be instantly ambushed before you load though.
Now I keep respawning inside the fight when I waypoiint. T_T

Here the same problem… She first would stand still and not move. We all jumped down the puzzle and respawned, she then followed us around but wouldn’t open anything… :/ Just not we got booted to LA…

Guild decided to not do dungeon until this is patched.
She bugged for us at the same point

Trying to collect info for Anet to fix. Did all 5 members do the JP or did some walk around? So far in our guild the runs have only bugged if all 5 jump up.
All 5 jumped from my group and bugged. When we died and respawned we all went through the door and she would follow us, but not use any consoles.

Yep also tried this dungeon twice experiencing the same dungeon. Not shocked Anet rarely tests their content they release it for us to test it

I’m actually a little bit surprised that they made us rely on an NPC to move past certain parts…also what genius forgot to put an ‘exit’ from this dungeon?
yeep…bugged here…can’t progress once done the jump puzzle.
Requiring npcs to open doors = bad design
Same issue. Impossible to progress. Had to leave.
We just had the same issue.
All 5 of us jumped the puzzle, then we went back to get Kiel and after web beat up the mobs, she wouldn’t move.
We just got bugged out like this on our second run. Ingame reports sent as well.
we did jump puzzle and npc stopped half way up. We went back and checked all consoles, npc starting moving with us but just looked at console blocking progress did nothing.
Disappointing.

I managed to do it without Kiel bugging by having 4 people wait at the door and only 1 person do the jumping puzzle. It might not work 100% but it did this time.

Fix is easy. One person does the jumping puzzle. opens the door, jumps back down. you all follow the npc and make sure she engages in combat, then your done.

You skipped a step of having her fight with you. She was not hit thus bugged out.

Aetherblade Retreat Dungeon:
Fixed various pathing bugs in both boss fight areas, Kleptotronic Advanced Designs and Rogue’s Landing
Added an exit to the beginning of the dungeon that leads directly back to Lion’s Arch.
Thats to prevent her from getting stuck not forgetting

New build did not fix the bug with Kiel. She can still get stuck if she doesn’t participate in the last fight before the boss.
If you are still having this issue after the game update just a few hours ago, can you provide some more detail on when and how it is happening? Thanks!
It is during the final trash mob before the boss area. If she doesn’t participate in the final fight there, her pathing will break and she will get stuck.
This usually occurs if all 5 party members enter the room from the top of the Jumping Puzzle section.
I’ll bite.
Post patch. We get to the jumping spring puzzle part. We all jump up. We kill the mobs up top. We hit the door console. We run down and Inspector runs up to meet us. She freezes there for awhile and won’t move. We backtrack the dungeon and find a lever that disables the lightning storm. She starts to follow us again. At this point she now does and says nothing. We give up after 30 minutes or way pointing and running her around.
My RL friends group had to reschedule alot of stuff to all play together, and that pretty much ruined our night. We’re all going to play Borderlands 2 instead.
There doesn’t seem to be a direct cause of this bug occurring. The first time through, everything was perfectly fine and we completed the dungeon. However, on our second, third and forth attempt, Ellen would run down the sloped corridor after we flipped the switch at the top of the jumping portion and just stop about halfway back up the slope. One time, we all made it up the jumping portion and then proceeded down the corridor to kill the mobs. Ellen fought with us, continued down and then stopped on her way back up. Another time, a few of us went up, flipped the switch and our group met up at the mobs (some went up from the floor, rest went down from up top), killed the mobs and Ellen again glitched. The most recent attempt, after reading some of the responses in this thread, only one person went up, flipped the switch and then came back down. As a group we went up the corridor with Ellen and she stopped before even reaching the mob. We aggro’d them and it seemed to prompt her to action, but after the mobs were downed, she pathed back down the corridor and stopped at the exact same spot.
It appears that if, at some point, the party wipes then the NPC will inevitably bug out close to the end (after last mobs wave) when approaching final boss. She stays in place and doesn’t move.

I thought this too, so only one member of my group did the puzzle jumping …
One more time, she did it again …
I don’t know what i can say, she just stop moving before the final boss, everytime at the same place
This time, all my group stayed with kiel, but she refused to continue.

Yeah, if only bug hunting were as simple as that…
We definitely know that is where the problem is, but it’s always the why that takes some doing. Only way to get that nailed down is professional debugging programs and access to the sdk.

ahh .. maybe ! someone gave up during the first boss, you are probably right

I don’t think so, she bugged on my run through and there was not a single party wipe until AFTER she bugged (intentional).
Wiped on the champion asura dude with the revolving force fields. But she’s just stuck there after the jumping puzzle.

I’m having the same problem. After we did the jumping part and opened the door for her to come up to the top, she stops midway and doesn’t move anymore.

After the jumping panels, we went downwards through the door to the mob. She fought as we did, then we went down unsure that was the path she took (well that was my thought at least) and on our way back up she just stopped moving.
Same general place as everyone else.
We tried multiple things to try to unstuck her – talking to her, wp’ing across the dungeon so that she’d “warp” to us like some NPCs do. Nothing we tried worked.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
