So what are they? Those two back items are all that I can look forward to?

I know about the new skins but let’s be honest… They aren’t so pretty and nearly unobtainable by regular player.

What do you mean they are unobtainable?
I really wanted the Flower back piece and I got it in two days- it only took me this long because I had very little time to play.
I am as regular as they come!

I guess it depends on what you find rewarding… as well as the two backpieces (which the majority of players seem to agree can be obtained relatively easily in a couple of hours) there are also titles, achievements, a couple of pretty nice free boosts to either Magic Find or Gold from Monsters which can improve your farming prospects for cash or mats.

The latest information release also talks about rewards still to come, nobody can really clarify for you what some of them will be or how you will get them exactly, we will have to wait for the release on the 28th.

New Southsun Cove Rewards

So, let’s be honest, there are rewards there to be had and they are not all unobtainable by a regular player.

Well for me the main reason to play the new content is just that – getting to play new content. The way I look at it I play the game to have fun and rewards are either tools to enable me to do that (like higher levelled gear which makes high level content easier) or something cool looking which is a minor part of the fun. So I’d be doing the new content whether there were reward items or not.

But in answer to your question at the moment it’s only the two back items and stuff from the Southsun Chests. But there will be more rewards added in the second part of the story – coming on the 28th. I can’t remember if we’ve been told what they are yet, but if we have it’ll be on the Secrets of Southsun section on the main website.

I think the OP was talking about the weapon skins. Those are… pretty much unobtainable.

i believe he is referring to the new weapon skins, Greatsword, bow, etc from the RNG crate.

So, let’s be honest, there are rewards there to be had and they are not all unobtainable by a regular player.

I rarely enjoy farming so if the newly announced rewards are from consortium crates then I’ll pass. Achievements are ok but it isn’t what I expect. I did collect most of them after an hour or so. And I didn’t felt like achieving anything… The only achievement I had fun with was the one that required to complete jumping puzzle.

Also the amulet and ring sounds rather pathetic… They will not affect your appearance or increase your stats. So why bother?

Take note that I do think that SoS is fun… For an hour at least. But there are no trophies there. When I see people using fractal weapons I take notice of them. And not because the skin is so remarkable but rather because it is so hard to get.
