Why was the mine detector mechanic designed so kitten -backwards? In order to get the mines to detonate and hit the boss, you need to disarm them despite the NPC telling you that using a different skill actually detonates them? Who thought it was a good idea to make this so confusing and backwards?

It’s simple…using the skill that disarms them actually makes them YOUR mines.

I think the NPC warns us that using the wrong skill will make the mine blow up in our face. What i wonder is why they made it a ground target rather than a cone blast (like a shotgun). There is enough to keep track of during that fight that properly placing GT circkitten rders on information overload. Never mind that there are 3 kinds of mines and only one seemed worth bothering with (the straight up blast). The bleed and poison seemed to do bupkis…

Yes, it makes no less sense than our own bombs detonating and hurting only enemies, or enemy bombs detonating and hurting only players. It’s not exactly intuitive, but it’s the same in the rest of the game.
