AN Method: 30min
Dulfy.net Method: 15min
My method: 1-3min.

I guess, it’s more of a speed-breakthrough than a speed run. c: Either way my method gets it done the fastest.

The dungeon itself is not farm-able. So the quickest route serves achievement hunters.

Small update: I had a long day today. For those who are keeping tabs on this thread; I’ll be available until June 05 (when supposed Karka Queen is introduced) and will be available to help anyone throughout.

If you are still yet interested to partake in these 3 minute runs; please feel free to send me a private message in-game. PM’s take higher priority in runs than the old fashioned way so this will give you all a chance up until June 5.

Can you tell us how you do it so fast? My guild did it in a couple of mins first time just because we were using high dps builds and I knew the mechanics after pugging it beforehand. But im assuming you’re doing something other than using high dps team comp. I would interested to come along to see your method but im an eu player.

My 3 min method favors all classes, and all builds. The more focused the party is, the faster NULL dies. So it’s not really based on equipment or build but more of communication and paying attention.

My method also relies on staying close to one spot. Then basic follow the leader back & forth tugging and running to the safe spot while the host (me in this case) calls out the party to rush towards me at the exact moment the mines are disarmable. The host/or me in this case has to have the mine times down to a science.

Overall though it’s just communication. Any communication error results in failure. 63 trial and error successful runs are proof of that.

Thank you for posting the guide, I already thanked you by whispers but I wanted to give feedback for the method here too. It works wonderfully.

I read the guide (now I see you posted a video too) and tried it with a random group and it was super easy and we got our traps achievement with no problems.

It doesn’t even need much coordination or a leader/tank, just someone taking the detector and jumping repeatedly over a deactivated mine (telling them in advance he will do it so they identify it xD) so everyone sees him and runs to him and return to the corner when the shield is gone. We all stayed in the corner bombarding him and when he got the shield one of us took the detector, wait for a trap to be available and jumped over it. Super easy method without need of nearly any coordination. Great!

I didn’t count the time but I think it was definitely under 5 minutes, probably around the 3 minutes mark. Tomorrow I will share it with all my Guild so all them can get the NULL and traps achievement (giving credit to you for the method of course, I won’t send them to you because some don’t speak english and I can take some of the pressure you have with so many runs for the community!). Once I show the other officials of my Guild we will be able to get the achievement for everyone there in no time.

You don’t have to worry for NULL pulling you to a trap with his fist because there is never a trap between both of you (he only pulled me the first time I tried because I pulled him and it was his first attack while he was going to the corner, but all 5 players can get the traps achievement at the same time).

This guy is doing an excellent job here for sharing good tricks for this kind of stuff and doing so many runs for everyone (when I whispered him to thank him he already had 69 lol).

Thank you for the compliment! Before I log-in everyday, I always check on the forums to see if there are any people having a hard time. Those that are I add to the list and then I take them off once I confirm or show them how to do it in-game.

8:38 PM PST update: I’m back and ready for more runs!~

Also; this is just a maybe but IF the dungeons are permanent, then I’ll keep going after June 5. IF they aren’t, then my previous goal was to stop the night of June 5th.

I have tried this solo dungeon and I died a lot, thanks for your effort for the folks. I wish there was more time to do this but Anet only gave a week, the mobs around the entrance are too many to even get to the instance to try and when I am in there I just die. So the whole point of the Southsun “experience” is a fail in my opinion. I do not know why Anet thinks that every one can just do all their content in a week. They have no brains.

4:05 am update: Going to bed guys after finishing the 142nd speed run! I’ll be online in a few hours after/when I wake up. If you still need runs for either (or both) light-foot AND Sub director NULL; feel free to RSVP here or by private message in game!
