Guild Wars 2

The 2 guaranteed rares you get from the karka queen daily. I’ve done it 3 times so far, and twice one of the 2 was an exotic. So I’m 2/6 on exotics so far, whereas running other world event chests, I’ve never EVER gotten an exotic from the daily guaranteed chest.

Is anyone else observing the same?

So far gotten only rares from queen daily, but exotics from other events did happen to me several times already. RNG happens to all of us.

Oddly enough the chest that actually appears in the zone after killing the Queen, rarely contains anything but blues and greens. :/

They talk about the bonus chest you get if your character has the minimum level for it.

Yes I know. I was simply pointing out the bad drops of the other chest.

That is the same with all the other meta event chests aswell though.

That is not my experience with the chest that the instigator dropped. I got gold items from that repeatedly.

The instigator was no meta-event. The dragons are meta-events.

Never seen an exotic from event….and have only seen greens from the big chest on the ground……out of about 10 kills. Nice to know an exotic can drop…

You know lots of people say they get lots of crates and I’ve seen 3.

Those are not meta-events.
Those are events that respawned every 10 minutes or something like that.

Well that is something they should fix then. Why should simple events that respawn every 10 minutes be more rewarding than massive meta-events that respawn after 1 or 2 hours? That’s kind of silly.

And considering the karka queen is an event that only gives you a reward once a day, the rewards from that chest should be even better!

The difference is that the event in question was there for a very limited time. While the meta-events are permanent

Actually, I got some cheap exotic vest from the magnificent chest spawned after Karka Queen. I did it only once so far.

Sometimes I seriously wonder whether some of us have a mark on our files. More than 600 hours played and not one single exotic dropped, either in the open world or from a world boss chest. I did get two low level exotics once from map completion, but that was probably 5 months ago, and I play most days.

Yes, I know, RNG. It’s still rubbish.

Though at this point, I think a lot of people would just prefer they replace all the dragons with instigators. >_>

Would improve the rewards at least… and increase the difficulty.

ArenaNet has systematically changed everything in the game to follow the design philosophy that if you can get it more than once a day it has to drop vendor trash.
