Q:
Why are we killing Null?
A:
Remember how Canach stealed Blingg’s Golem?
Here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/canachs-story-an-after-hours-meeting/
He modified it (it seems) and put it on “annoying mode”
NULL was not trying to kill Canach, it is his tool. Noll, the sassy asura, was the one sending the mercenaries to kill Canach.
Astrid Strongheart, Norn Ranger.
“I wish juvenile wolves were bigger”
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but Subdirector NOLL is the Consortium guy, whereas NULL is just a golem that I assume Canach made.

No. Canach stole the golem from Blingg – like Gabby said – and named him NULL.
We all assume that, but the reality is that we don´t know what is that golem, why is he there or why we have to kill him. Storytelling has been incredible awfull this time.
What’s more, he’s just another boss with too much HP and some cheesy skills that will wipe a lot of parties in seconds. Have a whatever day.
NULL actually means ZERO in german, which is quite funny.
However like allready mentioned. it is mentioned in a blogpost… like too much other information this time around.
I dont like it. They should have just put in the game.
On the other hand. i liked the encounter. We wiped, but after we figured it out, it was entertaining

It’s a term mainly used in programming with a similar meaning anyway, so it’s a pun aimed at the golem being a machine destroying everything.
