Annoying voice, infuriating attitude, and ugly figure. Haven’t you seen the cutscene in the living story where the camera zooms in? She’s a leafy mess.

By default she’s ugly because she’s Sylvari.

I don’t like Sylvari.

She would be pretty unf.. If her character was more than a sheet of paper.

She doesn’t have to be smexy, she has a different kind of power.

I definitely don’t think she’s sexy, although I still love her to death (sometimes quite literally, too bad she don’t stay that way). I think she ‘fits’ her psychopathic role quite well, and she definitely sounds like she’s off her rocker when she talks. I think they did a nice job with portraying a ‘fun loving’ villain, because to I think to her, it is all ‘fun and games.’ Not all villains need to have ‘sex appeal’ to be good. Goodness knows some of the classics didn’t.

I’d had a similar thought-line myself, and people love the Joker (and he sure as heck isn’t sexy). A lot of comic book villians are not sexy, and yet people love them. Its the same kind of concept here, imo.

I think she’s adorable. Like a plushee.

Her design is more than a little awkward (a good design does not necessarily mean physically attractive, either), but why do you think she needs to be sexy?

Why does she need to be sexy? To please the “male gaze”? Give me a break, she comes off to be as too messed up to care about being attractive and there are other types of women in existence who aren’t models – hate to say.

If all female characters have to be “smexy”, I declare all men (especially Logan) have to be pretty, hot, and run around in Lord Faren’s speedo 24/7.

The only thing that bothers me is the “die die” voice. I happened to glance down and see that was what she was saying. Before that, it sounded like she was a 3 year old walking around a house with a crayon in each hand and arms outstretched so she could reach the walls and draw on them as she moved, “Dun dun dun dun dun…”.

She ended up being an annoying, stupid looking, not believable, not menacing, woo-woo. She’s not a villain, she’s a fakey over-compensation.
Telling us she’s comprehended the Eternal Alchemy was a laughable attempt to make her have some kind of weight. it’s just so stupidly over-powered it comes off as a joke. I don’t care if the plot says she was an experiment from the Inquest “the final product of the CoE” or something like that, she’s a dumb character. If they wanted to do something like that the character should have ended up like Akira or Tetsuo. Not Jokey Mc Woo-Woo. so dumb.

I was making a silly joke (I like Traherne’s voice though but all Sylvari men have great voices) because it seems that people are only concerned with “smexy” because Scarlet is female and this would never come up over a male character.

What about being the leader of a huge army? Or being intelligent and scrupulous?

I’m still not seeing what being “smexy” has anything to do with this. I think any leader, or villain should be judged on their character, not their looks.
