How else do I level up / partner with people?
What class do you play?
Also, make sure your gear is somewhat up to date. If you’re level 10, you can buy cheap level 10 armour from the armorsmiths. If your crafting is high enough you could make your own armour/weapons that should be better than what NPC’s sell.
On the topic of crafting, gathering materials and using them in crafting is a good way to level up too.
If you have up to date gear, and still die a lot, make sure you:
-Don’t fight monsters that are higher level than you are.
-Don’t fight veterans / champion monsters (veterans have a silver outline, champions have gold outline).
-Use your dodges.
-Use your healing skill.
-Check what utility skills you have unlocked that could help you stay alive.
-Examine your weapon skills. Know what they do, and use them wisely.
Also, make sure you explore your home city and Lions Arch. Both give quite a bit of experience. I think I missed the main point. >.> For partnering up your best bet is to find a guild.

On topic: You will find running dynamic events is a great way to gain experience. Just run around in your leveled area and search for orange circles on the map.
Also, you may venture to other starting areas (human, norn, charr and sylvari) and complete their renown heart quests as well.
Ok. I gotta dodge more. I’m using healing skills and I organized my 2 fiend skills (I’m a necromancer) to be number 7 and 8 skill.
I’ll do more dynamic events around my level area. But how do I teleport to other start areas?
Thanks guys/gals

There’s an asura gate in Rata Sum that you can use to travel to Lion’s Arch. Or open the PvP tab to travel to PvP, and from there enter the portal to Lion’s Arch.
In Lion’s Arch there’s portals to all 5 race’s main cities, so you can do the starter zones over there if you like to. It’s nice to do for more variety.
Yes, the personal quests qill be hard to solo if you get ahead of your own level.
All the tips up there are great ^
- Best XP: dynamic events (you don’t have to solo them, just announce them in /map chat and others will likely join in)
- XP without any risk: explore cities. You get XP for vistas, points of interest, …
- Check out other cities through the pink asura gates, and their own 1-15 maps
If you need somebody to “bodyguard” or support you a little in your own personal story, ask /map. I would jump at the chance to witness other people’s personal stories, as these instances are varied and I am unlikely to have gone through the same on my own characters.
