I’ve complained about this before and I’m complaining about it again. Where are the goggles?

In 4 out of the 6 screenshots from the sky pirates of tyria event there are awesome looking goggles (5 variations!) But what do you give us? Yet another monocle.

There are only two pairs of goggles in the game – the cruddy looking ones you can choose when you start an engineer (they’d look awesome if it weren’t for the wings coming out the top of them), and the tier 3 asura medium cultural armor head piece. Both are only available to specific character types.

When I first started playing back in october I rolled an engineer specifically for the goggles they can get – I’m a steampunk nut. Yet they just don’t look right.

I’m at a loss on why you tease us with 5 variations of goggles on npc’s yet don’t allow us to have any of them, giving us only another monocle – something that’s already available in the game to any medium armor wearer.

Please give us some decent goggles to wear that aren’t race / class specific!

Why not both and glasses while they’re at it?

The armor in the pictures are Aetherblade armor sets that will be available in the Gem Store according to Dulfy.
The armor displayed, in order, are:

• Male Norn Heavy Aetherblade armor
• Female Human(or Norn, who knows the difference?) Light Aetherblade armor
• Charr Medium Aetherblade armor
• Male Human Light Aetherblade armor
• Female Human Medium Aetherblade armor

Goggles are a cool fashion accessory?

How many people in the real world outside of a beach/swimming pool do you see wearing goggles? Zero?

Goggles are a utility item, too ugly for fashion…

My suggestion would be for Anets team responsible for designing clothes/armour would be to watch some of the worlds fashion shows on youtube…then we would perhaps get some good armour/items…

I’m a steampunk cosplayer, and yes I wear goggles – sometimes at my computer, oddly enough. I know many other cosplayers that also wear them.

I’ve even got ones I’ve made with little retractable magnifying glasses that I use to assist in doing fine details….when making more goggles and other steampunk accessories!

Also glad to hear that they’ll be available in the gem store, though it doesn’t sound like they’d be able to skin onto my asura.

I want goggles too but i do not want lame goggles that cover one eye, I wan’t awesome goggles that look really cool and make your toon stand out in a crowd.
