Ammunition
I’m not against buying arrows for special effects, as long as they’re still not consumables. I played a hunter in other games for a very long time, and one of the biggest annoyances is having to constantly buy arrows.
As a former hunter in wow I would hate this…
Nothing worse than being in the middle of a dungeon and realize you forgot to buy more arrows the second a red message appears in the screen saying something like “You can’t use that skill because your ammunition slot is empty”….Man I was happy when they removed that from the game.
Yeah, I don’t play a hunter/ranger, but I can definitely see the annoyance in that….Also they would take up 3 slots if not more of inventory space(just for back-up, so you won’t run out, you’d probably take 3 of 250 stacks)
And it’s another money sink for ranged-only characters…doesn’t sound balanced

Enough gold sinks in game without having to burn money on ammo, no thanks.
Yea ive got a story about another game .The mother of ALL RPGs in fact . Dungeons & Dragons it let you buy ammo too and the Ammo no matter if it was bolts bullets darts or arrows would take up half your inventory cause you would constantly be needing to replenish it . I’ll pass on the +2 ,poison, fire etc arrows they are hindrance not boon . Our skills already provide conditions anyway
Have you seen how fast Rangers loose those things? They’d need to be insanely cheap for a hundred/s size stack of them and wouldn’t really add much to the game other than having to visit a random NPC merchant (seeing as making them just wouldn’t be valuable to players).
Now, how about cool Quivers? A secondary item when using a bow, the Quiver could add affects to your arrows…
