Hi there!

My suggestion here would be making badges of honor purchasable via other ways than WvW. The reason why i am suggesting this is because some players like me play only pve and dont like pvp or wvw and we still want to have legendary weapons which need those 500 (no more and certainly no less …) badges of honor, so if they would be purchasable via karma or laurels or something like that, people wouldnt have to be or feel forced to do something they dont like.

Some of you may tell "but u can get those badges via jumping puzzles in WvW ……True??? Well, i have spent a whole afternoon trying to do them but surprise, people come and attack me when i just want to do a simple puzzle….FRUSTRATING

If you want a legendary, you’ve got to work on it. You’ve got to do a wide variety of things, including WvW. If you can’t force yourself to work for the legendary so as to get those badges of honor, clearly, you don’t want it enough.

I can force myself into working for it, but being a pve player it becomes extremely difficult and frustrating having to do something i am not good at and that i dont like, i am only saying there should be more ways to get those badges

WvW really isn’t that bad, there are a bunch of nice people and if you can find a commander, just follow him and you will be able to get kills galore.

You mentioned “work”, thats something I have to do for a living.

My mistake I guess, I thought this was a game that you played for fun and pleasure.

This is what the wvw jumping puzzles are for. If you get lucky and your side has a mesmer porting in EB, you’ll have no difficulty getting your badges.

Legendary is supposed to show you are proficient in all aspects of the game, as such WvW needs to be apart of that. You can however just doing the jumping puzzles.

Sorry bro but I play WvW on a casual base and I’m getting pretty close to the 500 badges, just by killing people/npcs and getting the badges through fighting. It isn’t that big an effort compared to the insane amount of money you need for a precursor.

just a tip, but did you know you can get badges by doing the keg brawl? that’s something that’s fun for pve’ers (generally) and not in the style of the usual pvp. a group of friends can spend hours just keg brawling and rack up the badges! (the group i run with has been loving it, since we discovered it a couple weeks ago – tyvm dailies!)

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. I enjoy watching PvE players struggle to obtain badges and complete jumping puzzles. How can I tell who is a PvE player and who is a PvP player? Easy, walk up to a PvE player and they do 1 of two things. 1. Turn away from you and jog (possibly using a heal if they remember). 2. Auto attack and backpedal. Never do they look at positioning, escape mechanisms, or cc to even help themselves. Hilarious. Keep trying though, I really enjoy it.

You need to map all 3 borderlands and EB for map completion and your complaining about the badges………

The fact is if you want to to get a legendary your gonna have to work for it and that means doing things you may not like to do

PvE players always whine about having to get badges eventho they can do it while 100% avoiding PvP. Never seen a WvWr whine about having to do a LOT of PvE for their Legendary tho. Imho badges should be removed from JPs, esspecially now that they drop like candy.
