Looks Very Anime, I feel this game is being inundated by Asian concepts, which is fine for many games but it feels wrong in Guildwars 2..

She is kind of creepy but not horrible. Just watch your back when she’s around. Those eyes could bore some really big holes in it.

I would agree to get that changed to something normal seeing as how she’s like a main character.
I mean if she was the handicapped cousin of Rytlock then fine but this just looks like someone hit up all the max settings in a hurry.

Chibi is big head with a small body (Asura closer resemble that) while general anime accentuate the eyes (some artists far more than others).

Some cats are like that though…but I have to admit, when I happen to cross a cat with large eyes on my way somewhere, it does tend to creep me out.

Rox is a Asura/Charr crossbreed. I am sure, ArenaNet will explain to us, the reason for this magically enhanced mating. Right?

I just took 3 hours in character creation, even though the face is not 100% the same I would say about 90% is, the eye’s can be created on certain faces the same as Rox.

Yeah I’ve seen a few posts in the Charr forums with pics of characters made to look ‘young’ or with soft features and Rox reminds me of those…they were equally creepy too.

If I could make my norn usingt he bodystyle Braham has…all of my characters would be norn. Braham essentially has a human male bodytype just enlarged to norn height…aka…he is exactly like the female norn int hat they are simply enlarged female humans with no deformities.

The current male norn bodytype is in no way pleasing and downright goofy lookign wearing anything but heavy armor, and event hent he armor has to be huge and downright a walking bulwark to look right on such a frame.

It pinpoints the same thing, the same issue…that the characters do not resemble the current designs. Rox is this cute anime looking thing and Braham is a normal looking individual that isn’t all hulked out. People pointing at one and ignoring the other shows how normal one looks and how out of proportion the actual version we can play is, while how much the other is way out of proportion with what is expected.

You can get the Rox Look in the game now. I haven’t really tried to look through the Norn but I swore there was a skinnier norn frame but I am not sure so I Will leave that out.

There’s a skinny norn frame, two actually, one more toned and angular and one a little softer and less defined. And I’m pretty sure that’s the frame Braham is using, not a human counterpart.

Agreed! Rox horrifies me. Female charr were designed to look like the same species as the males—to be strong and fierce. Anime goo-goo eyes and hello kitty features do not belong on a charr

I actually think it looks pretty cool in that picture, what if it’s just her expression in that moment? If someone takes a picture while blinking does that make them asian? :-P

I agree, I wish for those eyes to be just a wee bit smaller so I don’t feel like my soul is getting stared at.

I think that Rox’s eyes are a bit too big. I also think that her horns don’t really seem to fit her face, but I’m less concerned about that (the horns themselves look cool though). It’s really the eyes that need fixing more than anything.

First of all, the camera angle is not straight on, its looking from the ground up. You know the kind of picture that makes peoples nostrils look grand canyon size?

Second, if they used the same character creation selections that we have available to us to create the characters then there could already be characters in game that look similar.

Agreed, I’m going to spend with her a bit of time in this living story I presume so I don’t want her to scare me all this time. Just make these eyes smaller, they are not that bad after all.

Rox, on the other hand, looks like a badly-drawn chibi cartoon.

Didn’t expect to see this here on a suggestion forum and from the looks of it. It looks like a demand than a suggestion in my opinion.
It’s not an issue at all Kaimick, but more of a personal anthropomorphic female model
issue like in WoW.
Funny to read is when they came up with a reason saying Rox doesn’t fit the charr race when she’s a charr.

Oh well you can’t make everyone happy, but you made someone happy.

I made this charr quite some time ago to see if I could make a good kitten-looking charr. She looks pretty scary instead of cute I’d say, but then again, Rox is too
I would die laughing if Arenanet made her eyes even bigger instead of shrinking them though.
