One of the many great innovations in gw1 from gw2 was the dye system. When I was reading about the dyes I was delighted to see so many varieties. I’m just sad that for things like abyss dye or white dye (things that are very popular) are soul bound. Along with the inflation of the marketplace, gems, and everything else dye prices keep going up and I don’t think that a player should have to earn the dye over and over again. My midnight ice dye cost me 6 gold. That may not be a lot to some players, but that was all the money I had at the time. I was happy my warrior had black armor, but then I saw that my other characters didn’t have access to this. I just think that this option would allow people to have more fun and vary their characters when they have more options.

This has been asked tns of times and I agree.

Some possible options.

Two dye versions: The small bottle is soulbound, while the large bottle is account bound and much rarer.

Uses: This dye has three uses which would mean that it can be soul bound to three characters.

Upgrade: When double clicking to apply it might ask if you want to make it account bound. At that point one could choose to bind it to your account for an amount Laurels or Karma or something.

I actually like that idea. People who only play 1 character can buy the 1-time dye and others can buy account-dye. Awesome solution for such a simple problem. Please make your own thread about this Nomar, we don’t want it to dissapear.
